Is there a way to convert between the 2 rating so I can compare subs better.

So I managed to get a hold of 2 LMS Ultra 18"s and would like some input on enclosure design. I was thinking of building a smaller ported enclosure tuned low. Any one have any ideas?

After rocking a DC lvl 5 15" now for about three years or so it has finally gone on me. I blew the voice coil the other day and well its time to move on... I know I can recone it and probably will do that and sell it, its time for something different. I am thinking about 6 8" subwoofers for about 300 square inches of cone area. Seeing as I am limited on trunk space, the box will equal about 4.3 cubic feet and that will give me enough room for my amp and bats. With the lvl 5 on full bore, I was staying in the mid to lower 14v so I figure I am good on electrical for now. I will be pushing these 8s with a SAZ-3500D and probably wire the subs to .66. i'm curious of the sq of the h2 15.2 i know it gets loud. i'm only puttion about 900 watts to it at the max right now and it makes my eyes shake. i'm yet to tweek with my gain or anything. nor have i tried it out with different types of music as i only put it on last week. i'm really curious as to if anyone has heard one of these and has heard a xxx or brahama or w7 in a ported enclosure and could compare them honestly

Does anyone have a list of good manufacturers that produce an XBL^2 driver? Specifically looking for Subwoofers, but mids and midbasses interest me too. I've found one manu, but I can't find them again. Their prices were good, but I wonder about quality. Thanks

ok, im new here, so hi i have a small car that i have an old used rockford phosgate 12" sub set up to a really old amp, and im in need of an upgrade. im kind of on a budget. i have a 2000 watt power acoustik amp picked out (with a bass knob), and now im looking for subs. im not sure if i should go with a rockford punch (stage 3?) 15", 2 rockford punch (stage 2?) 12's, or get a fi ssd 15" (probably with the bp power and copper coil)...or if you have any other sugestions in the same price range, please leave them (gotta consider my options eh?) sorry if like my terminology is off im pretty new in the whole car audio thing, but im addicted to bass and cant stop haha thanks g…

Hey, its been a while since I've posted here. I've been running a maw-15 ported for the last year or so, and i'm really happy with it. I just got a new car and need to downsize a little, so I was thinking about going with the 12" ixl. THere doesn't seem to be much info out there about them, except the review on here. With higher power handling, higher xmax, and just better quality overall, I'm not too worried about the output or sound quality being any less than my maw-15. Am I right? And what would be a good ported box for these? Thanks

I just ordered two Fi Q 15"s and i'm taking the 2 15"kicker cvx's out! My amp is the memphis 2500 or (Mojo) my car is a 97 honda civic... ok to the point will the Fi's be louder than the Cvx's in a big sealed box...ported is not really an option for me cause i'm leaning more towards a flatter response on low end and more towards sq!! but will the Q's still be louder than the Cvx's??? the box is 2.4 cub.ft per chamber! I know that your input on loud would be a ported box....but sealed which will be Louder?? Thank you

Hey guys I got a pair of 12" dss ethos that I had lying around , and finally gonna install it in my Altima. Anyways I had it in my challenger and it sounded great. Got rid of the challenger and forgot how I did the box. So I went on the website and was surprised when it said 40sq inches for 1.5 ft3. So if I wanted a 3 cubes box it would need 80 sq inches. I did the port length calculator and with that port area I would need a port length of like 60" lol So so I wanna ask if anyone has stuck to the recommendations to the T and hat results did they get.

I am looking at the skar vvx 12's and AA arsenal 12's, right now I am leaning towards skar 12's. they will be powered by mb quart discus 1500

i'm looking for a new amp for my 12" magnum about 1200 wrms @1 ohm and wanted to hear your guys suggestions. i have a stock electrical system so i want something that makes rated power at like 13 volts instead of 14.5 volts and doesn't strain my electrical system. the most i want to spend is like $350. an amp i have in mind is the elemental designs nine.1, but i'm leary with what i have been hearing about ED. i also have been considering the cadence z1200. i know it's asking a lot but please help me choose. thanks

well ive thought and debated and i think im leaning on re doing my subs and amps i have on re sx ten in the back with md1d right now think im gonna go two twelves or one 15 cant decide yet but its in a s10 2002 ext. wanna try and keep it under the window line but ill deal with box after that im looking to get about 1000 watts out of each sub or more so a total of 2000 watts or more if i can, ill match amp after i get subs i think its gonna be a d2 sub probably. this isnt a spl vehicle but i do like my bass to hit hard im gonna have the big three done by the time i get this new system im just looking for some inputs for now. ive thought about going re again i love my sx bu…

which sub do u guys think is louder? both in there optimal boxes with rms power going to each in the same vehicle. iv been watching video on both and it got me thiinking

I planned on buying a set of image dynamics horns. The ID Horns get so loud I do not know what to use to compliment them. Should I go a midrange and a midbass or just a midbass because the horns tackle such a large range of frequencies?

I have the opportunity to pick up a pair from a friend of mine. These are supposedly team subs. I think he said they are the xs v2. I know they are massive. And one has the spider that separated from the edge. But he said I could have them for $300. I cannot find any information on the 10inch version. Is this a good price? And does anyone else know about them?

O.K so my brother is going to rebuild his system he had 2 12 alpine type r's and wants something louder deeper and just overall better than his old system. He has the U.S amps xt2000d 1000wrms @1 ohm. I was thinking to tell him to get an Fi SSD but the only thing is that if it could handle 1000wrms daily w/o options or if with them which ones. I had planned on getting the edi 6500 comps and a nine.2, but I decided at this point I should save up some money for my next car then get whatever I want. In the meantime though my stock speakers are NOT cutting it. They are the cheap stock ones that come with a 98 jeep grand cherokee. Are there any cheap coaxials that I can just run off my h/u but will still sound half decent?
