looking at 300-500 watts RMS, would not like to spend much more than 200 right now im thinking ID12v3D4 Diamond Audio D312 I like the FISSD and FIQs, but they have RMS ratings of like 800-1000, and I don't want to drop a bunch of money on a huge amp im much more concerned with sound quality but would like it to get semi-loud at times I'm almost set on the ID12 but wanted to just get some final opinions

A friend of mine has a 700 watt JBL amp and wants a pair of 12s that'll hit hard and sound good sealed. These are the subs we're trying to choose between. Which would you choose out of these? 2 SI BM 12s sealed 2 JL Audio W3v3 12s sealed 2 Treo TSX 12s sealed 2 RE SR 12s sealed 2 Audiopulse EPIC 12s sealed

  5. It's time for something new, and I'm thinking that I'd be better off buying a pair of more efficient, daily oriented 18's than buying a second 9518g and underpowering it with 2k each. My amp is a Memphis 4kw, and I'm looking for a pair of 18's along the lines of a Level 4 XL, Death Penaltys, Fi BLs, Nightshades... something like that. I don't compete, so I just want loud to the ear. How would these type of subs compare to a pair of 9518g's on only 2k each, and does anyone know of someone selling 1 or 2 of these 18's?

So I finally order a set of cheap comps to upgrade the crappy stock speakers. I'm wondering whats the best way to position them when you are so tall you pretty much sit in the back seat to drive? Right now I tend to hear the rear speakers more so then the fronts as I sit so far back. The front stage will be louder then the stocks running off the HU, so I think I might be ok. And advice from you other tall people? I'm 6'6" for inquiring minds. I was thinking maybe building pods just off the bottom corner of the door by my foot and firing the mid's towards the back more and possible putting the tweets on the pillars. Clueless right now. Goals are just to keep up with the su…

I am thinking of either doing 2 10's or 1 12. It's going in a trunk car. Honda prelude. Small trunk :/ Space I have for box = Height - 16. Width - 16. Length - 28(side to side) Watt is best for this much space? The 2 10's(witch are going to be 2 xcons) Or 1 12(1 Zcon) If the 2 10 xcons are doable I am going to be powering them with a crescendo bc3500. If the zcon is possible I am also planning on powering it with the crescendo bc3500 (with caution of course don't want to blow it) or would the bc2000D be enough?

I am getting back into audio after a long layoff. I wanted to know what you guys thought would be the best speaker setup for mid and highs. I am planing on buying the new Zed Audio 6ch 150w a ch when it's released. I have been thinking of such brands as morel, focal, dbl, and polk. Price does matter would like to keep it under 1000. Thanks for any input. Troy

I've been researching subs for months and here I'm hoping to reach people that actually have hands on experience with the following woofers as I do not. I'm wanting to add good clean bass with authority to my current system. I'm not a bass head since I mostly listen to rock and metal but occasionally I do like to bump and want some chest thump on tap whenever I feel the need. I have an '02 Dodge Ram QC which limits my space. I have access to use either a 1.55 cu ft. per chamber sealed or ported sub box for this application. Amp I plan to choose: AQ 1200.1 Current system: Pioneer deh-p710bt Soundstream TWS.3 Polk MM 691 Polk db 521 Polk pa-660 Subs I'm choosing from (all …

OK, I am going to get a little more specific. I have an F150 crew cab, that right now I have 2 cheap planet audio 10"s under the rear seat. I am looking for a set of subs to replace these that will get louder. the mounting depth is 4 3/4 inches, max. And will play in an enclosure of .5 cu ft. Or has anyone used the single 10 in a ported enclosure under the seat? Or does anyone have any other ideas for a crew cab f150 that is still a family truck. Any help would be greatly appreciated. The two subs that I am looking at so far that will fit are the JL 10w1v2 or the Kicker comp10.

which brand of subs do you think is best? of course fi is one of them lol! and how much did you get it? durable(long lasting) worth spending your money on in short it's worth it. its quality is proportional to its price or cheaper. a clear but loud sub. if you want to listen to some music you can, and if you want to get loud it is capable of doing so.. about 1000 rms thanks everyone!

i was just wondering what the best 12" subs i could buy for no more than $350 each would be that can take 1kw rms daily? i am looking for a hybrid of sq and spl ... i listen to hip hop and techno ... i love my lows but i also like that punchy techno bass ... my icons seem to be very picky with music choice ... some songs get real loud while others sound less loud than my 4 old 12s running off of 1.3kw rms total ... the subs will be in a 5.7 cubic ft enclosure

Alright guys im wanting to change up a little bit here currently im running 1 18" in a 5^3 box(after displacement) on 3K. sounds great if i wanted to put up numbers, but lows arent where i want them and tuning lower wont be the best option because i really cant use this setup in my car anyway, do to weight of extra batts and sub its self, vehicle is lowered and going on 20s. So what i want to know is which would do better in 3.5 to 5.0 cubes tuned to around 25-28hz. (3) SSA Dcons 10"s or (3) IA 187s 10"s ? I like both due to the cost, also i chose 10s so i can seal them foward. They will be ran on a SAZ-1000D and goal is brutal lows (i listen to mainly C&S). Thanks …

I have a 2013 Silverado crew cab and I know under the backseat is my only choice without doing a custom Center console my question is what subs will really hit or single sub my budget is 1,000$ for my whole system and I will be doing all my own installation and I have all my door speakers already so I need head unit sub or subs box and amp and wiring kit and I wasn’t going to do any sound proofing just yet I know I’m asking a lot but I just really wanna know can this truck really bang with the downfiring or upfiring setup and if so any help with the box would be great

My ass has been asking this on just about EVERY forum, but because I'm an indecisive idiot, I'm gonna ask here. Okay so I've got a Honda Fit hatch, looking to put the ol' audio in. I'm pretty much set on everything but the subwoofer. Comps: Alpine Type-X Refs, 6.5 Comp amp: Profile AP600 (got it for $55!) HU: Clarion DXZ785USB Sub amp: JBL bp1200.1 (spent $100 on this one) Now I just gotta figure out what to put in the ol' hatch. I've got about 1300 watts to work with at 2ohm, 1400 at 1ohm. I can fit a box about 38x17x17, so somewhere in the area of 4.2cu if I push my limits and have a 3" wide slot, aiming to tune it low-ish, around 32Hz. Like to snag a single 15 due to …
