Has anyone done a wall or anything with 4 mj 18's yet? im kinda curious if anyone has and what type of box they decided to go with. Figure with the 3 for 4 deal someone must have put 4 in a van or suv!

Hey I was wondering where and how can i get a recone in Australia for my IXL 12", as i blew it up a couple of days ago?? do you guys stock the IXL v.1 parts and do i have to send it to you guys to recone it, or because i actually bought it from Affordable Drivers (Distributor In Aus) can i send it to them to recone it if they have the parts?? or if they dont have the parts and you guys do, can you send the parts to them and they can recone it? or even can Digital Designs recone it for me with the right parts provided by either you guys or Affordable Drivers because Digital Designs are pretty major in Aus and they do recones here for their drivers so they'd know how to fix…

Unfortunatly I can't take any credit for the design of this box (but Decware.com can) I only take credit for 12 hours of labor building the thing. Keep in mind this is for a HT Those are a pair of a/d/s/ 3 series, sweet little drivers but I'd like to see some RLI's in there. First impressions of build: WAY harder to build than anyother box I've done so far. But seeing how this is my 5 or sixth box (ever) depending on how you count, I'm not doing too bad. ok i know i said i was going to get the AA Havocs but ive been brought to light about the SSA Icons and i kno youtube videos do no justice but ive been trying to do a comparison between these two subs... does the SSA icon have a foam or rubber surround? which would sound better in a sealed box? Ported? which one would satisfy my audio needs... better yet which one would last longer? which would go better with a sundown 3000d

As some of you know I installed this 10" rockford T2 a few weeks back, wasn't that impressed at first and then i started to like it. anyway, i just picked my car up from the dealer, first thing i notice when i turn on stereo is NO bass, i stop to check all the connections, settings, etc. the basics. everything looks good. get home and put the DMM on my rca's and i can see the amp is getting signal. check the wires coming from the sub. no reading at all. so i'm like WTF and i pull it out of the box. there are NO signs of any kind that would indicate damage. rockford does a pretty good job of concealing all the important parts of their subs, but the portion of the VC that …

hey guys i built a sub box for my friend 3.5 cubes at 40 hz aero ported. we put a alpine type r 15 in it and we blew it in a day i was running 1100 watts rms into it i know its only rated for 750 rms . i was running that 15 in a 34 hz 3.5 cube box with no problem with the same amp. Why is that the cone seperated from the voice coil. is it cause of more air flow it over extended? so which sub should i go with an fi? sound splinter? aa? ssa? and he wants to spend at most 250 for a 15. Oh and by the way i never heard a type r 15 get so loud that box made it rediculous. thanks guys in advance Billy

I have my 18" fi ssd running off a Sundown sax-1200d... I really want to upgrade or try something new, but I don't really want to spend tons.. If i don't get another 18 that can fit the box I already have, then I will probably just build a sealed box next. Some ideas i had but need input on are, an 18" xcon if I could find one used or a 18" btl used.. these could fit in my box already and use same tuning. OR I thought about like 3 SA-10's sealed? because someone on here has 4 sa-10s for sale.. But I dont know if sa-10s sound good/loud sealed, and are 3 sa-10s going to be much of an upgrade to an 18" ssd?.. I wish I could get like 3- 10" icons but noone has them used eve…

Before anyone asks, not the Blazer, but a Blazer. 12" sealed in about 1.3 cubes with a Hifonics Z600 on it. If and/or when Jake ever shows up on here he can vouche for what I'm about to post on. Our bass demo CD that we have made has everything from Tocatta in B (off the Bass Mechanic CD) to Tricycle (for dynamics) to Bela Fleck, to Spies, to...well you get the picture. Tocatta (sp?) in B is just nuts. Unlike the previous generations of Mag's, there is no shelving off in the extreme low-end (the older Mag's would drop about 3 dB but keep that same level through the lower freq's). I'm looking for some expert advice from the makers of the drivers. About 2 years ago I purchased 2 18IBs. I built a IB sub in the ceiling and about 2 months later I sold the house and moved. Before moving I pulled my 18s from the ceiling and now they are sitting in my closet. The big problem is my new home is not conducive to the IB design (no basement, flat roof). So, the question is can I use the IB drivers in a sonotube design? If not, why not? If I did, although it may not be ideal, what should I expect? Any light you can shed is much appreciated. Richard

Vehicle: 2003 Acura RSX Budget: $300-$450 Amp: NVX JAD800.4 Im looking to keep it simple and go passive with Two 6.5' components per door, & One tweeter per door. Will be having a fellow friend with experience fabricating doors do the install. So far Ive from a quick search, Im looking at the Incriminator Audio I6.5c's, or Image Dynamics ID65CS components...Anyone have any experience with either of these or any other suggestions? Pretty set on doing only one tweeter per door, any info on going with only one or going 2 per door would be great.

I'd like to get the boards opinions on them. Are they hard to build correctly?

Hello, I am going to be putting a 12" XCON in a ported box into my Passat. I was looking at the Crescendo 2000D to power it at 1ohm. Since I'm on stock electronics I was thinking I will just keep it at about half gain maybe slightly higher and see how everything does. I do plan to do some upgrades or possibly add a second battery. My trunk comes designed to house a battery so "I THINK" it would be an easy addtion. Do the Gain's work like that? If the AMP is rated at 2250RMS and the gain is set at halfway does that mean I will rougly be putting 1125RMS to the sub? Any Enclosure recomendations? Right now i'm planning to just use the SSA optimal enclosure design,…

Since October I have blown 2 subs using the same enclosure and amp. I have the right electrical to back it all up. Originally the sub was a 10 inch xcon which I popped mid November then sent it to SPLaudio for a recone, received it back mid December and now I popped it again. it is in a 1.4 cube box tuned to 32hz. All gains set right and all bass boosters on my stereo are at 0.. any help is appreciated. Thank you.

I noticed that FM signal (radio) songs play with a lot more bass, and I mean A LOT more. When I listen to the exact same song using my iphone, some songs sound dead. I can tell there is a huge difference. I understand some radio stations boost their signal or use EQ, but why is the difference so noticeable?

A teammate of mine (Bumpinbuick on most forums) got his Omega 15's in he sill be using in a daily setup. His comp car will be using 2 18's. He will be testing them soon for those that were interested in the t/s parameters. ** Black powder coated baskets with the lime grren flakes are for team members. Regular Omegas will has a deep metalliac purple baskets.. Which i kinda like a little better LOL!! 18" baskets will just a 6 spoke design.

Alight yall, Since my Bravox mid has a slowly growing tear in the surround I decided to get some opinions on what to do. Overall goals 1. A very well versed front stage that is able to be very loud. 2. Able to sustain good midbass (50/60 hz and up) while not sounding extremely harsh. 3.
