Subwoofers / Speakers

Browsing around at a pawn shop around town and i came across this sub hidden in a corner. Owner wanted $90 for it talked him down to $70 lol. So now i'm trying to find any specs or t/s parameters on it just out of curiosity. I have already emailed MMATS. Anyone have any experience with this sub? Im assuming it's rather old by the looks of it.

I live in Johnson City Tn and am very interested in hearing a pair of XCON subs. Not a lot of bumpers in this area so was wondering if anyone on here or anyone you know has a pair that i could drive to hear. Im willing to drive a couple hours away for the demo as my wife has insisted i hear these awesome subs before purchasing them This may need to go to general audio section, sorry if so.

I like being able to comfortably fit two golf bags & pull carts in my trunk. A free air install in the rear deck would allow me to retain the vast majority of my cavernous trunk. Having only played with the idea in a large enough wall enclosure that it may as well have been free-air, I'd like to hear experiences. It wouldn't be a huge loss to tuck a 1.5' box in the trunk, so if infinite baffle is more trouble then it's worth, please say so. After I get moved into my new house, and have some cash again. I'd like to get a sub back in my truck. I've been waiting for the Audiomobile's to pop up, but I'm not sure when they will be available and may actually cost more than I want to spend, since the AE X's will probably never be around again, I'm trying not to spend more than 300 on a 12/15, but I will if the right sub comes along. I'm looking to get a nice build going for my '02 GMC Envoy. I just replace the junk factory radio today with a Pioneer AVH-P8400BH and also decided to pick up a ND-BC5 back up camera. Now its time to get the sub-stage rolling. Currently my truck runs on a stock 150amp alt which will need a upgrade. So I am limited to a single h/o alt for this build due to no room under the hood. I'm leaning towards a dc 270amp alt. With this alt and a power cell or 2 will I have trouble keeping up the demand of a Crecendo BC3500 with possibly 500-1k watts to spare for my front stage? I want to pick up a pair of SSA XCONS for this amp but I'm having trouble on deciding to go with 2-12's or…

Hey everbody since my icon doesn't work any more i was looking for a new sub and i was kinda stuck between the xcon 12 or a bl 12 fully loaded and was wondering which would be louder. sq doesnt matter much but its a plus and right now, im leaning towards the xcon because of how much i loved the icon and i was looking for some suggestions.

Hey everbody i have a small question i have a 12 in icon that ive had since about january and today when i was listing to it and it started to make a popping sound right where the dust caps at and only at hi volumes and i was wondering if anybody might know what it might be.

I am looking to buy a SSA DCON 12" sub. Is there anyone in the Dallas, Texas area that sells and stocks SSA subs? I am in Louisiana and Dallas is about 200 miles from me but I am going this weekend. I have called numerous shops there and no one that I have spoken with sells SSA. One shop had an Icon logo on their website and they said they were not familiar with the SSA DCON. So here is my situation, I am looking for a single 12 setup to put into my vehicle I listen to mainly hip hop I want to get the louder of the 2. This is mainly just so I can get something cheap to put in my beater for my last year of my tour in Korea I have been trying to wait it out to get subs for when I get back to the states but it's driving me nuts lol, I am trying to keep the cost of the subwoofer to under 200 and also what amp would you recommend for either 1 for around 200 thanks in advance for any help

i cant decide between 2 sa-15's or a single z v.3 18. what would be the pros and cons of these 2 setups? which would be louder and which clearer? i mainly listen to dubstep, rap, and reggae.

Hello everyone, I currently have a pair of Image Dynamics CTX65CS components in my front door speakers and Type S's in my rear doors that're being powered off of my alpine headunit. I will soon be ordering the 12" Dcon Single 4 ohm to place in the 2.0 cubic foot box I have that has a port tuned to 32hz. I thought I got a pretty good deal on it, and it looks sturdy enough to hold the DCON with it's double baffled front! Hi guys I'm in a little trouble, well my friend is and he's relying on me to fix it. The car is a 98 civic coupe. He has Rockford fosgate t1 components in stock locations (door and pillar) powered by a rockford two channel (not sure what model I think it's the power series) They have sounded great but now he says that on the right side of the car he can hear a static-like noise from the speakers at low volume. Can't hear at high volume (because music overpowers the static, but when turntable down the static is heard. I've done everything to my knowledge to try and troubleshoot. I have had my ascendant havoc 12 for about a month. Recently I decided that it was broken in enough to see what it could do. I set my gains again, this time with the dd-1, but when I turn the volume up a little it sounds like it is bottoming out. I have a t1500-1bdcp that's rated at 1900 Watts rms at 1 ohm. I thought for sure that the havoc would take that much power and not bottom out. Could the noise be something else? or is it really maxed out?

My subs chirp when my car is started but not when it is off but the head unit is on and i cannot figure out what it is. I checked the ground and that is good. Also, my power is good. Any ideas what it might be?

I have a 98 blazer with aftermarket electrical system. I currently have 2 SA-15s running off of a hifonics hifi1500d. I'm wondering if i would notice any difference in sound if I added another sa-15 and ran a hifonics hifi 1000d on it? I want my system to be louder but not stupid loud haha any input on upgrading amps or anything like that will be accepted!

Okay so i'm designing my box for the 2nd Gcon 15'' and i'm thinking about going with 10^3ft box and i wanna know what a recommended tuning for it would be and how i would measure the port hole. Recommended was between 28-33hz and the recommended optimal ported was 4.00-6.00ft cubed per sub. let me know

I've narrowed it down to this set, image dynamics 6.5 component. CTX65CS. Is this the best I can get for my money($160)? Im looking for some feedback on these. And I also need an amp to power one set of these and a set of 6x9s.

I recently just blew my 15n2 Btl fully loaded. I am looking to recone it and am interested in upgrading it to an n3. Is this possible or just recone it with the n2? Thanks andrew

So, right now I am running a 2011 RF Punch P2 12" on a RF Prime R500.1 (500 watts @ 2 ohms). This is in a 1.72 cuft enclosure tuned to 31.8 Hz via 4" aero. I have the itch to upgrade. I understand that almost anything is an upgrade haha, but I was curious if the SSA GCON 12" would be a substantial difference in volume, and SQ? I would put this in a 3 cuft box tuned to 28Hz via the 4" aero. My current setup is in a 98 grand cherokee, but it will soon be put in the trunk of either a civic or corolla.
