Does the size of the box affect how well a subwoofer reproduces different frequencies? For example: if one sub's box is at the upper end of the manufacturer's recommended volume and another's box is at the lower end....both boxes tuned to the same frequency....how will they respond differently? will there even be an audible difference assuming the same power is being used? will the output differ? it may sound like a rudimentary question, but you won't know until you ask...thx

I have a 1998 GMC Jimmy. I'm running 2 Sundown SA15's on a Hifonics BRE1600.1 I'm getting ready to start a new box because i realized a measured the last one wrong so i only have about 4.5 cubes net. Clearly not enough for the subs . Here are my maximum dimensions. I can go 37 wide THE'ts right on the wheels wells would probably have about a 1/4" on each side. I would go 25 deep. Gives me about 7 1/2 inches to the back hatch. 24 high gives about a foot to the roof. Any idea's for a box. Probably just gonna stick with 35hz and I want it to be very loud but i want to be able to listen to music not just do burps. I think that's all the needed info right?

Hello, I am currently putting together my plans to build a box for one fi audio ssd 12. I am going to build a ported box and I was wondering about bracing? I will only be pushing 500 watts to this sub but will be upgrading to 1000 rms in the future. I was wondering if putting 45's in the corners would be enough or if I need something more. I keep reading mixed responses about 45's in a sub box. I also am having a hard time understanding the whole port length thing. Any help is always appreciated thanks!

well the brahma started to sound funny so i pulled it...i figured the triple joint that i fixed came undone...but i guess i did a better job than i thought because the triple joint is fine...the spider came unglued from the frame! i plan on fixing it until i can afford a re-cone to a different size, but does anyone have any good tricks to align the coil so i can glue the spider back on? i figured i'll probably have to remove the dustcap and use shims to align the coil but i figured i'd ask.... anyone know where to get replacement dustcaps?

This is for SQ/LSQ install in a 2005 Mazda 3. Sub would compliment Alpine Type-X comps in the front getting 100 watts/side. This is directed more towards people with experience with both woofers. Looking at RL-P 12 or 15 or Brahma of same sizes. I have a Tsunami 1100DB for substage. Previously owned eD e12a and wanted something new. Is the 12a based on the same motor as the RL-P? Any comments/info would be greatly appreciated.

Well the killer deal I was going to get on some warden 15s is looking pretty grim. I mean killer too. So I need to make a new plan. roughly 10 cubes to work with if I build in the trunk Absolute max width is 38, hieght is 18-19. I will be using two atomic AT3000.1s so 6k + So I was looking at 3 12s trunk walled (buying a second D6 12) but fitting the ports is an issue But I'm thinking maybe 4 12s in a 4th? diamond says these sweet things only need 1.5 cubes ported per to be sexy, 1.25 will work as well. But I know nothing about designing and needed space for 4ths http://www.ebay.com/itm/2-DIAMOND-AUDIO-D612D4-12-1200W-Dual-4-Oh-CAR-SUBWOOFER-/170766868411#vi-content fo…

So i recived my Fi BTL n2 12"s which are 2x2 dvc and wired them like this: Voice coils in series and woofers in parallel should give 2 ohm final load (reads 1.3ohm on DMM). My RF 2500bdcp amp does 3500w at 2 ohms @ 14.4v (not sure if i shall belive the birthsheet) The woofers are mounted in a temp ported box till next week when i build my enclousure which will be 4.5cu after displacment and tuned at 33hz. As it is now it dosnt give out much bass at all, don't know if they are out of phase or that they are brand new and stiff as hell or it just might be the box. My voltage is steady even at full volume before clipping. (14.7v) i've scoped everything to make sure nothing c…

I just purchased some bravox cs60cf components and I would like to run them active. I would like to know what is a good rms to give the tweeter and a good rms for the midbass. I have a jl 500/5 that gives 100 rms for front two channels and 25 rms for the back two.

Alright guys I have a problem, my Bravox component set's left side tweeter isn't working. Before I took the door apart I switched the RCA's from left to right and the tweeter was still inoperable. Whenever I would hit a bump the tweeter would crackle and turn on then turn off. The tweeter was confirmed working On low power when i put the tweeter on the amp and it worked perfectly. I'm not sure what went wrong with the X-over seeing how I JUST installed and it had been sitting in my closet since i bought them and it hasn't been exposed to any moisture what-so-ever. I purchased them new from the SSA store some time ago.

  23. Hi everyone. First time post here. Long story short, I was really into CA back in the day. Got out of it for about a decade and now I'm back into it. So, I'm thinking of purchasing a set of the Bravox CS603CF to run as front stage and a pair of the CX60CF to run in the back doors of my Mazda 6 wagon. I plan to run them passive with the midbass of the 603 set in the stock location, the tweeter in the stock a-pillar location. If possible, I plan to make some type of bridge to mount the midrange over - or possibly next to - the midbass depending on how much room I have. If none of that works then I guess I will just have to drill a hole in my door panel, but I'm hoping to a…

I have a set of Bravox Audio CS60K components and i was wondering if anyone could recommend crossover points? Ive read that the supplied passives low-pass the mid 1000hz@6db and high-pass the tweet at 4200hz@19db. I'm using a 3sixty.2 and the slopes i have are 12 and 24db and powering the components with a T400-4, any recommendations are appreciated.

My JL XR tweeters finally gave out on me after 5 years of service and I am looking at upgrading to a 6.5" set of components from my current 5.25s. I am looking at the Bravox CS60K's on the group buy due to the phenomenal price and what appears to be some serious quality speakers. Does anyone know what the mounting depth is on the 6.5 mid? Also, does anyone have any feedback on this component set? Good punchy midbass, crisp clean highs? I have a good deal of power to send to them (MTX 4160, I know REAL old school) and an AudioControl EQS to clean up the sound.
