I'm familiar with the braxial speaker system from CDT, and that's what I want for some rear fill. Are the CDT's any good? Are there other brands that have models with the same format? I'd like to have the tweeter mountable on the mid so that it all fits in the factory door spot, but I want to be able to adjust the tweeter. I almost always have to dial the tweeters down to -3db for my preferences. Hence the reason I don't just want coaxials. There's a chance I could do regular components and just put the tweeter next to the mid, but I'd like to see about this first. I'd also preferrably not like to pay the $450 that they want for the CDT HD braxials.

Alright, I honestly don't believe in breaking in subs usually. I've never done it with anything I've owned and never had a problem. Well I just placed an order for a second sa12. I currently have one I used by itself for probably 6 months so its nice and loose. Plan is to pair it up with the new one...will I have any issues since 1 is nice and broke in and the other will be brand new? Will I need to loosen up the new one first or will it just happen on its own over time?

is it true when you first install a sub and run it for the first time it's best you should not play it at full power for a while.the reason i ask this is because i was never told this by anyone before you had to do this and i wanted to make sure since i been playing my sub at full power for like 4 hours total since i had it and i can tell the sub is not real stiff after playing it for a while ?

Hello everyone, I'm trying to repair my AA Mayhem 12. My leads broke in the middle of the spiders and I'm not sure how to get to them so I can solder them. Does anyone know how to disassemble a Mayhem or got a video on how to do it? Or does anyone know an easy way to get at the leads? Thank you, Brad.

Well after a lot of talking with Shizzz and screwing up not being able to fix the box in the trunk (and realizing I cant fit the box and the amp and the batts back there) I am thinking I am best to go to a single woofer. Now I was reading around and it looks like a single Fi BTL 15" can be used in a 3 cuft box. I am going to be throwing a SAX-3500D at a woofer by the way so I will be over-powering almost (I think) any woofer out there. But after talking to Shizzz some more he says that he recommends the level 5 12 at a minimal 2.5cuft box. I can do that seeing as the original box was about 5.5-6 cu ft. But wondering what would be best on the smaller box size -- either a B…

Ive heard differnt things, one being that the BL is more for the daily beater and the BTL for the "competion sub" Which is better for a daily sub that will not compete in SPL contests and who wants to have LOUD music.

For this im going to compare only 18" woofers.. BTL N3 the king of SPL! This is the loudest subwoofer on the market that I'm aware of.. FS 51 - This thing doesn't go low! Shitty sound quality, but hey this thing is so loud, who cares? lol Spl: 95.3dB 1W/1m super efficient 3000w RMS BTL N2 FS 34 Spl: 94.0dB 1W/1m 2000w RMS ZCON FS 32 Spl: 94.9db 1W/1m 2250w RMS MAYHEM FS 33.7 Spl: 94.8dB 1W/1m 2500w RMS Between the BTL N2, ZCON & MAYHEM..Based on the FS I would think these subs all sound about the same, they would all sound good.. they all are about the same efficiency (High Efficiency) so the important number here is the rms power. The Mayhem takes f…

i'm thinking about adding a cheap 10" sub to my dad's home audio setup. i was thinking about a RE re10d4 in 1.5cu @ ~28hz or something along these lines. his stereo receiver has a sub preamp output so i can just buy a cheap mono amp (100-200w) for power. the sub will be going with a pair of monitor audio rs6 towers in a medium/large living room. for price reference the re subs go for about $50ea. i was also looking at the dayton hf but they're about twice as much, i'm trying to stay under $75 shipped if possible. any suggestions???

My g/f is wanting to use my old sub box to replace her current RF sub setup. She has a PPI i450 (450w @ 2ohm) amp and we've been looking at either SSA DCON or the IA I-series. Goals would be that the sub has to work with the current amp and work well with the box. Box is made for a 12" sub and is 1.35cu ft (was previously made for an ICON) and is sealed. She's primarily looking for more output and deeper bass than her current sub which is a 10" $50 RF sub, so I know either of these will be better. Which sub would be the better to go with? Are there better options than the two mentioned above?

Hey all, I am workon an a build right now, and I am unsure what I should look into for 6.5's and tweets. I am currently running Nendo Pwx's , but they simply do not put out the sound that I am looking for. I am not looking for anything expensive, and I am on a pretty tight budget right now. I will be mounting 2 6.5's in the front doors, and I will be mounting 2 to my wall once it's built. I have a nendo 800.4 for power Thanks in advance ~

I have an alpine 2 channel amp that does 70RMS at 4 ohms and 120 RMS at 2 ohms. I'm looking for a set of 6.5 components to run as my front stage. So far I wont be running a rear stage. The lower the price the better and I dont want to buy used unless I can pick up in person etc, so classifieds are out. Long story. My MAX budget would be 120. I was considering some power bass S6C's, they are around 50$ shipped. What would you recommend?
