So i've been browsing around for some components in the ~75Wrms range, and I saw that Rockford Fosgate has some Power series components that fit the bill. The T1652-S and T2652-S look exactly the same, except for the fact that the T1 can be had online for 80 bucks, and the T2 is still around 200. As far as I can see, there is no difference except that cooling vent on the back, the tweeters are silver, and there's a pointy thing in the middle. If we're being honest, i'm not really going to push them too terribly hard, so I don't think that I would need the extra cooling. I guess my question is: does anyone have any experience with RF speakers, and does anyone know the real…

So I have been tossing around a few ideas. 1st I am thinking of running 2 IXL 10's in a center console, vented enclosure tuned to 32hz (not sure what cuft would be best?) these would be run off my 1200.1 Tantrum @ 2 ohms The goal of this set up is to save some space over my current set up while maintaining similar output. My current set up is a single TC sounds 15 3k 3.2ft^3 tuned to 32hz. (I love everything about this set up, just wanting to try something new) The space I would like to stay in for this new set up would be 20" high x18"wide x 24"depth subs and port both facing back. what would be the optimal cuft and port area? so that is the 1st and most practical set up…

So over the last 2 years I pre-planned my van build making it clear that I don't want 30Hz-60Hz. That I must have as much 30Hz on down output as possible, but 60Hz on up would be nice as well. With only 1 HO alt, I was able to sort of get by by having my subs LPed at 31.5Hz. Less information to re-create, more power for the narrower band... and that narrower band is very high excursion (low frequency) for more cone motion to keep things cool with a clipped signal. Well I'll be getting 2 more HO alts, so I can bring the LP up to 100Hz where it should be, as I finally moved my 6.5's HP up to 100Hz. But my excursion problem, as predicted, is 25Hz-45Hz, and I want to take …

I have an alpine 2 channel amp that does 70RMS at 4 ohms and 120 RMS at 2 ohms. I'm looking for a set of 6.5 components to run as my front stage. So far I wont be running a rear stage. The lower the price the better and I dont want to buy used unless I can pick up in person etc, so classifieds are out. Long story. My MAX budget would be 120. I was considering some power bass S6C's, they are around 50$ shipped. What would you recommend?

I was initially going to run the Peerless SLS's to start out with but since i am limited on area for midrange and they are currently not in the best locations i decided to go with a dome for the off axis response and sealed chamber. That will be either the Dayton RS52, or the MB-Q 95-6814 (2" Ti dome) until i can afford the Dyn MD140 Anyway i have heard a few people say that they don't really play low enough/the SLS won't play WELL high enough, i was looking into the Dayton RS225 8" mids. They seem to be very nice and since i am constantly ordering from parts express, its the easy and cheap solution A member on another forum has a mint set of DLS Ultimate Iridiums for 175…

I have a 2014 Ford Explorer sport. 2 Fi team 18s, (2more added later) ported 6th order, 7cuft per sub tuned to 33Hz and will be using a crescendo BC encore 12k. My center ch I can fit a 6.5 pwx or 2 FT1 super tweets. Any recommendations for the doors? I got room for 2-3 8" mids per door (if I customize/deaden and seal the doors) and 2 FT1 tweets. Daily driver Currently 1 370a singer alt and a 200 stock alt with 1 xs D3100. (Will be replacing the stock alt with another 300 plus singer) Headunit = kenwood DDX9702s Thanks!

Hello, I bought a Fi Bl 12 "limited edition" with 4 inch vc. from a guy on **** I finally got the subwoofer today, and immedietly noticed that the basket was damaged. Two arms are broke off, and another 3 are cracked. Im in the process of filing an insurance claim. The seller stated he put insurance on package, Im waiting to hear back from him now. Im guessing I will get money from insurance and send the sub in for repair. Would a normal recone process cover a new basket also?

I am looking at getting a new 12" or 15" sub for my 2001 Jetta. I am looking between the IA Death Row and the FI BL. I listen to mostly rap and I would be building my own box to spec. I only have enough room for one 12" or 15" so about 3.5 cu. ft. Currently I have a Hifonics BXI1206D so 1200 w rms @ 1 ohm. Any other suggestions would be apprecitated, looking for something loud that sounds good.

My subs have arrived! CD on dustcap to show how big this thing is! Comparison pics. IXL beside a Pioneer TS-W384 15 inch woofer. I'll be starting my sub build pretty soon. I'll be going with 12 cubic feet tuned to 16 hz. This is a lot of sub for the money. I'm looking forward to getting these subs built and installed in my home theater!!!!

finally ported the 12" magnum 2 cubes to 30hz. im loving it, it gets nasty loud and sounds even better i think than sealed. I have it running off the viper d1200.1. No pics of the rest of my setup though i gotta get a new camera, i just finished my install with Image dynamics cd1pro mini horns and idq 6.5" midbass off a cadence q4000. let me know what ya think. http://www.wtfhost.com/userfiles/Bavarian3/MagBox4.jpg http://www.wtfhost.com/userfiles/Bavarian3/MagBox5.jpg http://www.wtfhost.com/userfiles/Bavarian3/MagBox7.jpg http://www.wtfhost.com/userfiles/Bavarian3/MagBox9.jpg http://www.wtfhost.com/userfiles/Bavarian3/MAgbox10.jpg http://www.wtfhost.com/userfiles/B…

Currently I have a Boston Acoustics G512-44 on a Rockford P1000-1bd. I have it sealed, running at 2-ohm, I like the way it sounds. I listen to mostly rock/rap, with the occasional classic rock and R&B. My goals are to have more output, but still keep accuracy. I really enjoy a tight double bass, and love the deep bass from rap. My G5 plays double bass really good, and hits lows alright. I know I could build a ported box and try that first, but I would like to try something new. Height wise, I cannot fit a 15 inch sub into my trunk, but do have quite a bit of room in there. I would like to stay sealed box, and maybe run two 12's or something. What would be yo…

I used to have a single 10 DCON sealed with about .7 ft^3 of airspace and loved it, just wanted a tad more output. I figured the easiest way would be to put 2 10's in a sealed box. The problem is I'm not sure if I have optimal room for it. I've got a 08 Passat that I want to keep the spare tire available which restricts my area for the box to against seats where the trunk curves in. Not sure if this would give me optimal enclosure for 2 DCONs. My next thought would be to put 2 8" subs instead. The best 8 inch subs I've seen are the Sundown SA-8. Anyone have any other recommendations that fit for my application? Long story short, here are the cliffs: - Max dimensions are 8…

Been searching and looking for a new build idea for this summer in my wagon and stumbled upon the dayon Um18-22 says it works well in 3cubes sealed and 4cubes ported tuned lowwwww which is what I prefer for both installs. Think this sound is promising for "Accurate Bass"? Something different.
