I'll try to keep this short as possible. The other day I was browsing through the classsifieds over at ca.com. I stumbled upon an MX 12. So I said to myself that id like to try an MX, I heard great things about them, also they look sexy for my inverted install. So I offered to trade my 12" mag(current gen) for it. He said cool. i traded. I have had the mx now for about 3 weeks. I must say Im dissappointed The sound was kinda up there with the mag but it didnt have that certain "crisp" edge of sq that I liked in the mag. I could deal with that fine. But the absolute sh!ttiest part is. The DAM Mechanical Noise the MX puts out. Its ridiculous to hear that much noise coming …

Well i just sold off my XXX that i no longer need and after paying off some of the stuff for my bass race van i have about 300 dollars to put in a new front stage in silverado. Currently im running Kicker SS65.2's active off a 880PR and Sundown SAX-100.4. The kicker were just something temp i got from a buddy until i got time to glass my doors up. I have a 2004 tahoe and I am going to change my sub stage. My electrical consists of a 300 amp alt., 4 deka intimidators group 31 in the back, and a intimidator group 34 up front, big three, and two runs of 0 gauge. I want to spend around two grand and my goals are a nice, somewhat "musical" sounding daily driver with a lot of output. I am hoping to hit 150+ at 30 Hz eventually. But if tuning needs to be a bit higher that is fine with me, preferably around 32-33 Hz. I guess that would make me save my goal for another day, but ultimately something above 150 is what I want. I've got a 15 passenger van and am looking to install a low budget system (anything is an upgrade to the 2 front door speakers I have currently) I have a pair of 6 x 9 speakers at each row of seats in enclosures and the 6x 9's in the front doors for a total of 10 speakers. I also have a powered bazooka sub I want to use in the rear. I have a 4 or 5 year old Pioneer Premier head unit that I plan to connect to. I would like to add a 4 channel amp to give the 6 x 9's a bit more power and have the following questions I'm hoping someone can help me with: 1. So I'm getting a Sundown SAZ-1500D AMP from a member on here, when I stumbled upon a Sundown Nightshade 15" D2 for a really good deal, I know nothing about the sub. The car will be a daily driver and I was originally going with a RE Audio SXX 15" D2, so is the sundown a better sub? Pro's and Con's of both?

So I have been tossing around a few ideas. 1st I am thinking of running 2 IXL 10's in a center console, vented enclosure tuned to 32hz (not sure what cuft would be best?) these would be run off my 1200.1 Tantrum @ 2 ohms The goal of this set up is to save some space over my current set up while maintaining similar output. My current set up is a single TC sounds 15 3k 3.2ft^3 tuned to 32hz. (I love everything about this set up, just wanting to try something new) The space I would like to stay in for this new set up would be 20" high x18"wide x 24"depth subs and port both facing back. what would be the optimal cuft and port area? so that is the 1st and most practical set up…

As the topic title reads I need info on ID horns. I have 2 sets of horns. Both sets are full size. I have had minimal results searching for info on these horns. One set came with the install and tuning instructions. What I am looking for is the correct crossover freq. for these sets, power ratings, and the advantages of one set over the other. I did find this link for what I beleive is the V-2 version PDF but the driver in the second set of pictures does not match the driver in the PDF. Any info or input you can provide is appreciated. 1st set-Beleived to be CD1E-V1 2nd set-Paper work that came with it states-CD1E-V.2

Am trying to find out which application would yeild the best results. I recently perchased the JL C5 comp. and was debating whether they would be more effective (Best SQ) in a small fiberglass enclosure in the door or just put them directly into the door without an enclosure. Any help would be great, thanks.

I have a single 12 dcon on 400w in a sealed box I was thinkin of either gettin another dcon and have two sealed or port this dcon now and then later switch to gcon??? Either way I have to get a new box sub and amp. Which would be louder the gcon will get 800w rms at least and the two dcons would get around 750-800 aswell

So i just got my Zcon 18 installed in my 6.7 cu. ft. Net Box. it is tuned at 34hz with 112 sq in port. Currently its running off US Amps MD1 (1200rms) and gets pretty **** loud. This is a Great sub, well built and very good looking. not quite as good sq as my Stereo Integrity Mag V3 but its close. (that could also be due to the higher tuning as the mag was in a 28hz box.) Im wondering, would it be worth it to double the power to 2400watts? for a daily application would it really be much louder? the sub already moves pretty good as is. hey guys im new here and im in the process of getting a Denali XL and i want to get some serious pound put in it. i been reading around on here for a couple days and i been hearing alot of talk about the BTL's and the HDC3's both sounds very tempting but i was thinking about getting six 15" hdc's or four 18" btls....and the amp that i was looking at were two AQ3500's because they look like a chit load of power for the price. im not looking to pay no more than $3000-$3500 max on subs and amps and i want it to sound like good hard hittin quality bass so what would be my best option... OH and this just for daily beating..well mainly weekend

I have narrowed my search to a 12 sub to the either a single FI SSD or a Sundown SA 12. I plan on using a ZX 1000 at a 2ohm load in the back of a suburban. if you were in my shoes and needed a 12 sub to run in a sealed inclosure and had about 300.00 to spend on a sub which would you chose and why. Looking 2 18's zcon or xcon for an Chevy Avalanche. Will be powering by a mojo 4 with upgrade alt, two kinetic 1400 for now. Looking more for sq right now, in at least 13-14 cubes after displacement (slot port). The zcon's do have a lower a qts, xmax, and bl compared to xcon. But spl is slightly higher on the zcon.
