  2. Hello all I`ve been busy today Managed to get some time to do some work on the car Here is the wall so far... For those of you who do not know the SPEC: 26.5 Cu.Ft. Wall 197 Sq In of port area. Tuned to 27Hz & can be tuned lower too. (Adjustable port blockers) 4x Stereo Integrity MAG 15" Subwoofers 1x Adassa Audio BARBARIAN amplifier Looks as though everything is going to fit nicely. Check out the Spkr cable to the Right hand side of the Plywood Amp L.O.L It`s 4awg - just because it was a nice shade of purple. OK so here is the hopefully last thread on my truck. I am buying a prefab box. I know no one recommends a pre fab box but there is only one way to fit it under the rear seat in my 2014 F 150 super cab. Unless I decide to take more floor space for more air space its kind of a set design. Id rather not eat more floor space because the back does get used a little bit. Anyways http://www.soundoffaudio.com/2009-2014-ford-f-150-extended-cab/ http://www.supercrewsound.com/09F150ECUTSdual.html Are the two I am looking at. No matter what air space is .80 cube before sub. I was wondering if for the space, I could get a little better smaller subwoofers. Instead of ge…

Right now I've got an Ascendant Audio Atlas 15, and about 400 - 500RMS to play with. I am thinking of upgrading to the D2 later this year. My question is, on limited power, is the D2 still an upgrade?? The Atlas is no slouch down low and does pretty darn well off of 400 RMS, 18mm xmax. The box I plan on using is going to be a 4.5 cubic foot ABC box tuned to 33hz.

Just out of curiousity, which would have more output with 1000 watts? I know both have great SQ. 1 Icon 15 ported or 2 RL-i 10s ported? Each setup for a LSQ setup, not a SPL or SQ setup.

My homie thinks that two 200rms MTX thunders sound better than one 600rms sa12 What do y'all think? I'm pretty sure one SA12 sounds better because it will have 600rms of power to it compared to the mtxs with 400rms of power to them. Which do you think will sound better musically? The mtxs will be sealed and the sa12 ported and both powered by true rms power and same vehicle say a 99 honda civic same electrical and everything, which would sound better? Im gona go with the sa12 because mtxs aren't that good of subs and the sa12 is very good. Determining an answer will determine his decision on what to pick for his system. Two 12" MTX thunders on 400rms sealed Or One 12" …

Hi guys, I'm looking for a system for my X1. There's not much room in the doors, I can only fit a 4" mid, not too deep though. Some companies have direct fit in speakers for that car. I'm thinking about a Focal set (ES 100 K). Buuut I would love to keep my SSA Evil1 tweeters. What 4" mids would you use ? I will use an Incriminator 3.4 amp and 2 Gcons10" on 2K watts.

Well I'm writing this for anyone who might care. I'll go through the steps of how to take apart a speaker(with pics of course). Here are the supplies. 1 Koda6 (thank you Nick), 1 bottle of CA unbonding glue, and a utility knife First, run the knife around the edge of the surround to separate it from the basket. The Koda has a stretchy rubber surround so it didnt really cut so well. Then, just cut the speaker leads. And detach the spider from the basket. This was the tricky part. I found that although being soaked in the CA unbonding glue for a few minutes, it just woundn't budge. So i just took the knife to that as well. It was quite flimsy and easy to cut. An…

Hey everyone, Had some diamond d612's when i got out of the game. It looks as if diamond audio has fallen off the map unfortunatly, so i am having trouble finding a set of new d9's. Everyone has recommend the ssa xcon which looks to be a great sub. The reason for posting is i like for them to get loud and my wife likes for them to be accurate. Is it safe to assume the xcon can do this? I bring up diamond just because i know from experience they will do both and do them well. Any ideas or comments? They will be 2 12s running in trunk of buick regal powered by an rf-t1500bdcp per sub.

Car: 2013 VW Golf 4doorHeadunit: KENWOOD DDX471HD 2DIN 6.1" TOUCHSCREENPlanned sub stage: 2x10" Fi SSD's sealed, ~0.4cubes each, powered by a Cadence ZRS C1 mono (2250rms @ 1ohm)I did my previous car's stereo install which was a single DIN head unit(Alpine IDA-X100), same amplifier(reusing it), and a 15" Fi BTL in a ported box. But with that install, I still only had the stock front speakers. Towards the end, I think even both tweeters died. My previous build was geared towards maximum volume with a high schooler's budget, now that I'm older and my tastes have changed, I plan to build more towards quality but not crazy like I've seen some people take it. I figure that…

So basically I am trying to figure out which subwoofers would be best for me. Background info: Vehicle: 2000 suburban (space is really no issue for me) Amps: 2 planet audio ap1000d's (rated for 650 but i believe put out well over 800 watts) Plans: currently im running 4 12'' cvrs and im ready to upgrade so i want to run 2 18's , I plan to get dual 2 ohmn coils so i can wire at 1ohmn with one sub per amp, this will be a daily pounder, and i will be pushing everything hard, I have the big 3 and a 220 amp iraggi alt, i have the best knu koncepts 0ga wire, and all i need to beef up my electrical is a second battery. I am choosing from Fi subs and my gut is telling me that …

So i've been browsing around for some components in the ~75Wrms range, and I saw that Rockford Fosgate has some Power series components that fit the bill. The T1652-S and T2652-S look exactly the same, except for the fact that the T1 can be had online for 80 bucks, and the T2 is still around 200. As far as I can see, there is no difference except that cooling vent on the back, the tweeters are silver, and there's a pointy thing in the middle. If we're being honest, i'm not really going to push them too terribly hard, so I don't think that I would need the extra cooling. I guess my question is: does anyone have any experience with RF speakers, and does anyone know the real…

  20. So, right now I am running a 2011 RF Punch P2 12" on a RF Prime R500.1 (500 watts @ 2 ohms). This is in a 1.72 cuft enclosure tuned to 31.8 Hz via 4" aero. I have the itch to upgrade. I understand that almost anything is an upgrade haha, but I was curious if the SSA GCON 12" would be a substantial difference in volume, and SQ? I would put this in a 3 cuft box tuned to 28Hz via the 4" aero. My current setup is in a 98 grand cherokee, but it will soon be put in the trunk of either a civic or corolla. Just as any extra info so you guys can help: Goal, loudest possible SQ with this sub. What do I listen to? : Everything from Dubstep, to Classic Rock, to Metal, to Gangsta Rap.…

  21. Well im bored and im going to start a new job soon, so naturally i must start a new project... The Car Anyways i'd end up taking the back seats out, doing a fiberglass sealed enclosure, for the mags at a slant fireing back, and probably do some sort of compartment were the rear seats are for 2 extra batteries, along with w.e. else i need, i'll end up pulling the floor up in the back also, if i really wanted to im sure the is enough space to go ported or if i wanted im sure i can have all the subs fireing back instead of at a slant towards the back, I was thinking the new focal 3-way series for a front stage or the CDT ES 3-way's also I was thinking a 250a alt should be …

So, it just dawned on me that I was mucking up my build log just talking about tweeters and thought I'd make a dedicated thread. I have been doing quite a bit of searching and I'm at the point that everything is just kinda starting to blur together. I tend to over think things and it is getting the best of me right now. I am looking for something to mate with my Seas CA18RNX. I liked the ID xs28s I had, though I don't have a lot to go off of either. I didn't have much to complain about them, but when I switched the ID mids for the Seas mids I was surprised by the improvement. If I can get that kind if improvement in the tweeters as well, I'd be a happy camper. I am fairly…

I know this will be mainly opinionated, but i am wondering on what you think would be a good step up from a 12" w6. I love the sound of the w6 but i want it to be a bit louder with the same quality. Again i am not looking for someone to try and give me proof of which sub is better or what would be better, but just personal opinions on what you think would sound similar to a w6 just a bit louder. 12" Fi Q 12 "Death Row 12" Icon

okay i currently have 2 15 inch mags on the way (first ones were smashed by fedex, but thanks to ben levine at www.showrides.net im getting new ones at no expense to me. his customer service is an 11/10!) i have a 1000/1 right now but i wont be able to afford another 1000/1 for a while. should i run 1 of them ported (3.75 28hz) or both sealed 3 cuft each. i will be building the box and making sure it is very sturdy. now if you think i should build one for 2 15s ported then jsut let me know. all comments appreciated. i had drawn up a plan as 8 cuft ported with 8 4 inch flared ports for 2 15s already so i could do that.... but what would you reccomend as enough port area fo…

  25. I currently have a 2005 single cab Dodge Ram 1500. I recently ordered a Sundown Audio SA-8 D4 v.1. I have a 1k Hifonics Mono Amp i was hoping to push this sub with. Im having issues getting a box design. I built my own and friends boxes but only merely guessing needed airspace and very unfamiliar with tuning. I under stand its got to do with the driver, box volume and port length and size but beyond that im a noob. From reading around I've seen that these subs need about .5-.75 cubs of box at about 30 to 40hz? My first box attempt was around .6cubs but the port was about 1"x8" and only 27" long which im almost positive is incorrect because the sub will not even do any not…
