I need help guys. So I bought 2 Fi BL's a couple of months ago and I've gone through 2 hifonics brutus amps. I am currently waiting on a sundown saz3500 that I just ordered. The problem I'm having is the speakers are .7 ohms per coil. How should I wire them to the amp. I dont want to blow another amp. GUYS I am in need of some help please.

So I have most of the system planned. Truck is a super cab 2014 F150. Subs will be two RE REX 10s Dual 4s. Each sub will get .72 cubic feet sealed. Box is going under the rear seat. Sub amp will be SAE-1000D Comp set amp will be Rockford Fosgate P300x2. I am not sure what comps to go with. Going to be a 6.5" set. Budget up to around 200 ish dollars for them. Top mount depth cant be more than 2 3/8th inch. Have been looking at Kappa 60.11cs, Alpine Type R, JL c2-600 is close enough with a spacer. I might need to spend a little less to get a smaller driver, because I cant space the speaker out from the door too much with out hitting the door panel, and I am not …

I need a set of 5 1/4 speakers for my back doors. I have an 04 escalade in the front I was thinking kickpanels with Boston acoustic pro 60's and in the back I thought I should do some coaxials, but don't know what would be good, I have a sundown 100.4 powering them and money not more than 350 for the back speakers. give me some ideas.

Hey fellas. I just started back installing at Best Buy and have moved my old setup (Fi Q15 and Cadence iA7) to my winter truck. Its time to upgrade the 300C. After getting a damn good accomodation price I am awaiting the arrival of a Kicker ZX1500.1 Details: 2007 Chrysler 300C, Big 3 upgrade, 160 amp alt., room for a 6.5 cf. box. Want: More output then my Q15! Love the Q, just want it louder. I want to purchase a single 15" or 2 12"s for a budget of $500 or less. I am looking for a high output driver that is at least musical enough for daily listening. I did like the Q for the lows and would like to keep that in a higher output sub. Loud would be good to because while im swapping them out ill be putting in a 50wx4 amp i had lying around bridged to 100wx2 (turned down for the mids/highs) and the NX4400 is going independant for th assasin's which means 220w each. trunk dances with 55w each, i should gain ~6dB i love that smiley

Hi all, So a month or so ago I was driving around listening to my system and had a young kid in my backseat and he kicked my amp rcas breaking them half off in the amp. Long story short my mids on my Hertz HSK components blew when I turned it up not realizing this and now sound like crap. I currently don't have the budget to go out and spend $500 on a new set. Got a phoenix gold titanium 1000.2 and wondering what i should get a 15 bl daily driver @ 1 ohm or a 15 Q? itll be in a 93 civic in a 32 cu.

How do you guys make this connection? I bought 8 gauge speaker wire thinking "Yeah! This will be some great speaker wire" but now at this connection point I have to fit two ends of wire into the terminal. I'll have to cut off a lot of strands. I didn't have to do this on my last system as is wasn't wired down to 1 ohm. Anything I'm missing here? Or is that the only solution? Thanks.

ive been wanting the BL for some time now but i think im goin to wait untill springfor a system . but i think i want to throw the alpines in the picture. which set ups will most likely get louder and sound somewhat better with the same power (1.5kw) and which would u choose for a first system?? ive also looked at MAC.com and saw there hellboy and crossover box and the crossover box caught my attention.are these boxes any good?? if so why? thanks

I am no electrical pro, and I've always wondered, is there a huge difference in have a 1 ohm sub and a 2 ohm sub?

So I'm about to build my second sub, but I'm stuck on which dustcap to use. I originally ordered the Carbon Fiber dustcap, but ended up getting the Poly dustcap as a freebie with an order I made. After placing it on the cone just to see what it looks like, I'm starting to wonder if the Poly dustcap actually looks better? What do you guys think? Go with the Carbon Fiber dustcap, or the Poly dustcap?

This is for a friend of mine, he doesn't care about SQ that much, he just wants an ok sound that is extremely loud, so i'm basically looking for a cheap 12" spl subwoofer. He would like to keep it under $150 per sub. He wants it really loud, i'm talking 140db loud if possible, th cheapest sub that you guys think can hit that, he wants two 12" subs.

I have had a pair of IXL 12's sitting around since last summer. With the DBDrag coming up locally in a couple weeks I felt it was time to get my arse in gear. Heres the Basic design with the exception that I decided not to do a driver flush mount and therefore increased the width of the top port piece from 4.5" to 5. This box is 3.2cubes net. I'm considering an ixl-18 for home theater, however as I don't have any money (yes, I need to sell something to buy the 18 ) I am limited when it comes to powering it. In this case, power will be from a harmon kardon receiver. I can comfortably massage 120wpc (rms) continous from the unit without a second thought. Modeling the driver in a 7cuft/19hz vented box in winisd shows me 111.5dB output 19hz and up at 240w.. I know the receiver will easily exceed 120wpc, and being that this is a dual 2ohm driver, I can reasonably expect 240wrms per coil for short bursts. Thermal limitations will come into play if it needs to supply that much power for extended periods though,…

Hi guys, I'm looking for a system for my X1. There's not much room in the doors, I can only fit a 4" mid, not too deep though. Some companies have direct fit in speakers for that car. I'm thinking about a Focal set (ES 100 K). Buuut I would love to keep my SSA Evil1 tweeters. What 4" mids would you use ? I will use an Incriminator 3.4 amp and 2 Gcons10" on 2K watts.

How big of a difference in SPL and SQ do you think there would be between a 15" and a 12" Fi Q. Would be in a ported box built to recommended dimensions. Oh, and powered by a Kicker zx1500.1 at 4 ohms for around 850 RMS.

She is a 15" right now and since I have a coil gone on it anyway she will be rebasketed to a 10" as soon as DD has quad coils back in stock. What do you think? Will she make a sexy 10"?

Hi, I have a Kenwood amp KAC-9104d. According the manual it max's 1800W 1 ohms >900W 2 ohms 900 W 4 ohms 500 w I want new subwoofer's since I found out the ones best buy recommended are too weak for my amp, and after hearing kicker is a pretty weak brand. I'm not sure what type of box I want yet, all I know is I want great sound quality and some good SPL would be nice too. Any recommendations are much appreciated. p.s. I listen to lots of rap/borderline rock

Hey guys, Hopefully ya'll can give me some help here. I have two 12" JL Audio W6v2 in a sealed box powered by a Big Bang Planet Audio D-CLass 1250.1 x 1 amp. Subs sound good but been having them since 2005 and want to upgrade to something bigger and with more output. I have not heard the Xcons and those are the subs I intend to get. I am looking into one 18" or two 15's. They will be powered by the same amp named above, and I will be looking into getting either sub(s) into a Khaotik Ported enclosure.
