I've been working on my system and slowly becoming more interested in sq than spl. So I guess I'm working on an ""SQL"" system. Loud and clean. Right now I've got 1 15" RE SX. And it sounds decent now and output is good. But I'd like cleaner. I have a friend that's intersted in my sub. So I've been trying to figure out what to get for a replacement. I can do about 4.5 cu ft net ported, or 6 cu ft sealed net. I'd like to spend under $400. I may have a line on a used 18" xcon. So that sealed or one 15" xcon ported, or maybe a par of used icon 15's sealed. I'm open to suggestions. Whatever I get will be powered by my saz-1500d. Or maybe 4 dcon 10's ported…

So I'm not sure how much you can tell from winISD by modeling subs, but if anyone wants to help me out and model 2 sets of subs for me in winISD that would be great! Also, exactly what information can you get from modeling subs?

Does anyone have experience with Audiopulse subs? My favorite sub setup that I had was 2 JL Audio W3D4 12s sealed with 500 watts. To me they got decently loud and sounded good as well. I was strongly considering a pair of RL-i 12s sealed, however they don't make 12s in the RL-i series anymore. Someone on here told me the Audiopulse Epic subs are the same as the RL-i series. I'm looking are a pair of 12s sealed that'll knock harder than my W3D4 12s and yet also sound good with 600 - 700 watts.

Okay first of all please don't ask if i have electrical upgrades because yes i do. i Just want some opinions on subs and an amp to push them.. I'm either thinking of 2 15" SSA XCONS or 3-4 12" AA havocs. Probably 4. The xcons will be powered by a saz-3500d in AROUND 6 cubes ported tuned to around 28hz and the havocs 3 would be saz-3500d about 6 cubes ported tuned 28hz or 4 would be by a saz-4500d 8 cubes ported maybe 26hz .. I want an ""SQL"" setup.. i know either are going to be extremely loud as well.. But i am going to attempt to make this setup as sound quality oriented as possible.lol might even just do sealed boxes. but i want my subs to get very l…

I have been following the V3s for a while & have emailed 2 different emails a few times. Anyone know how to preorder them or when they are coming out? I may end up going with the AB XFLs instead

Thought I’d share a few pics of the DCON’s I was originally running. The original subs we used in the Traverse after I got the rest of the system installed. They were originally ran on a Zapco Z-1KD but after a fateful incident with an open sunroof during a rain storm it had to be replaced. I had an Arc Audio XDi 2000 sitting in the closet and the only amp I had that remotely fit in the amp rack. The DCON’s were dual 4 ohm and wired to 1 ohm on the Zapco for a very reasonable 1,000 watts to the pair of 400wrms rated subs. I wasn’t too terribly keen on running them on the Arc 2k at that ohm load at first but since one was making a noise fresh out of the box I…

Well today my little brother and my friend wants to help me with my new build, which is my third. Now I have a couple questions for you guys. I know every install is different. But is there anything other than sundown lol? I'm not bashing them but I want something different. I want to go the ground pounder route, I don't want a wall and trying to keep the subs under $1100 if possible. I have 11 cubes in the back seat area of my crew cab truck but I don't have to use it all. But the subs I can't seem to get out my head is the sundown x's. As far as power...5500 watts is the most I want to run

Ok so i recently purchased a box caprice station wagon and I want to put a lot of subs in the back a demolish my opponents! So what do yall think I should put together? Budget is $2,000 for subs and $3000 for amp(s). I listen to alot of chopped and screwed rap music and like to crank it to the max and really slam, sq is really not an issue i just want it to sound sort of clean when im not killing my opponents and just straight cruisin.

Both 12" in sealed boxes. SQ? Ability to sound good with 1200w for two drivers. Both subs seem awesome to me, I have been looking at adire because of the xbl tech. Brahma is a little more $. ahh I wish I could listen to them myself. Compare some of these side by side.

Hey guys, New here, but looking to complete my sound system. I'm pretty set on doing Hybrid Audio Clarus components for the doors up front with 150W on them. I'm debating on the rear fill, so may just leave that alone for now. So with that said, I'm trying to match that setup up front and will be using a Pioneer 4200NEX HU. I have the upgraded 145A alternator from the trucks on my car running an Odyssey AGM battery with 0 gauge wiring from the battery to the alternator. But for the subs, I plan to use this box: http://subthump.com/Pontiac-Custom-Subwoofer-Boxes-by-Subthump/Pontiac-Firebird-and-Trans-Am-Custom-Subwoofer-Enclosures-by-Subthump/93-02-CamaroFirebir…

Hey everyone, I've been surfin the net looking to see if this is actually a myth... it seemed like there were many different takes on the situation and I wanted to get your take on it. Myth? Real? Any hard evidence? If its real... how long does it take for a speaker to break in? Andrew

Well I received it today and was going to use my garbage box to break it in. The box is very small and I don't expect good output or sq but it is just for break in. My question is, this cheap box came with plastic carrying handles that are recessed into the box and the sub wouldn't clear them, so I had to remove them. I now have two 3-3/4"X 2-1/4" slots in the box. Will this damage my sub? I don't plan on playing at high levels in this box.

This box is very well built if I do say so myself. I do good work I am just slow to start anything. If I ever make a cut I get down to bizzzness but if I don't I just sit around and don't do crap. I have to find the pics I took of my Orion 2500 and the install I did for a friend with a CMPx2 15 and a Crossfire 1000d. http://www.sounddomain.com/memberpage/463709

Hello everyone! I just bought an RE SX 18" sub from a friend. Unfortunately it has a blown voice coil. Is it possible to acquire a recone kit for this sub? How much would it be shipped? Thank you ahead of time!

I am looking to put either a 12" Bl or Icon in my 2010 4 door silverado, I am powering them with a aq1200d, and will be porting the enclosure to maximum recommendations, I will be trying to make an efficient box, that will require less power, which sub do you think is better?

I'm sure everyone here has had those times when they just get bored and wanna try a different set-up. It's hit me too. Right now I have a 15" Mag D2 in a 3.25 ported enclosure powered by a Hifonics 1205d (putting out about 1000wrms@1ohm). I am trying to get rid of the mag to try a different set-up, I wanted to do 2-12's. I will have around $220-240 to work with, but if i can get away cheaper I will. They two subs I was deciding between were the Type-R's and those MB quarts that woofersetc has on sale for $99.MB quarts What are some other good options in this price range? I will probably use the same amp and box size isn't much of an issue (up to 5 cuft shouldn't be hard t…

i've been running my magnum with about 800w for the last couple weeks, and its just dying for more power. i am having a new box designed, and i was thinking of buying a 1500bd. now obviously i dont wanna wire the sub to 4ohm, as i will have the same power as now, but i wanna wire it to 1ohm, so im looking at 1600w rms+ (assuming the amp is fine at 1ohm, which i've heard it should be) i will probably have it scoped and setup the gains so it makes around 1.5k which i think is reasonable for a daily drive what i wanna know is what is the maximum i can give it for a daily drive? i probably wont risk anything over 1.5k, but is anyone running more than that?? thanks in advance
