I have a Morel Dotech Ovation 6 two way components installed. I also have a pair of Selenium 6 inch midwoofers in the garage. Now here is the trick part guys. When I heard the Seleniums at a local car audio shop on the board it sounded like a midrange and I have been told over and over and over and over again that Selenium is a midrange speaker. Now with that said I decided to call Morel in NY and talked to one of their people about the component set I have in my ride. When I was on the phone with Morel they told me this if I decided to go active. Morel mid 80 Hertz to 3200 Hertz @ 12 dB Octave low pass Tweeter 3200 Hertz and up @ 12 dB Octave high pass. He was tell…

What sub would hit harder, the sa8 in a 1cu ported box or the dcon 10 in a 1.25cu ported box. This will be run on about 300rms in the trunk of a car

Hello guys, first thread on here Was just wondering, how do you think a D2 will take 2500wrms, on a daily BASSis, i.e streetbass, daily listening, i can't see it being a problem just playing music nicely, but what about when i crank it ? The whole system will be scoped, so it will be getting a purely clean signal, will be ported, about 4cuft, then port displacement, so say even 3 cuft ? I have seen this thing take 1700wrm quite nicely, but what about over quite a period of time ? i mean i know how to treat a sub, i know how they work and how to set a system up. So what you recon ? Go for it ? Also, can they be reconed ? or will i have to buy a new one ? Thanks in advance…

Well the killer deal I was going to get on some warden 15s is looking pretty grim. I mean killer too. So I need to make a new plan. roughly 10 cubes to work with if I build in the trunk Absolute max width is 38, hieght is 18-19. I will be using two atomic AT3000.1s so 6k + So I was looking at 3 12s trunk walled (buying a second D6 12) but fitting the ports is an issue But I'm thinking maybe 4 12s in a 4th? diamond says these sweet things only need 1.5 cubes ported per to be sexy, 1.25 will work as well. But I know nothing about designing and needed space for 4ths http://www.ebay.com/itm/2-DIAMOND-AUDIO-D612D4-12-1200W-Dual-4-Oh-CAR-SUBWOOFER-/170766868411#vi-content fo…

I've been looking into the Infinity Reference 6000cs and the Polk db6500's. Anyone hear anything good or bad about either of these component sets? Any alternative suggestions for 6.5"-6.75" comps in the $200 range? Thanks, Ed

2000 Mustang Convertible, rear 5.25 speakers dont really work anymore since the car has been redone with new audio. I need new budget 5.25 speakers (or even a large tweeter) that I can replace them with.

just curious, (need to ask here to keep out the fan boys) what was the advantage for RE to move to SC on the new XXX (other than more power handeling)?

I thought I`d put up some scores from different sub set ups which I have tested in my standard 2.5 Cu.ft. box - 4" Aeroport tuning to 27Hz with 1x Directed 1100d amp. Here goes: Stereo Integrity Baby Magnum 12" in ISO: 1ohm Load / 1100wrms Peak= 137.0dB @ 29Hz 40Hz= 134.7dB 33Hz= 135.6dB 25Hz= 136.7dB 20Hz= 133.7dB 10Hz= 127.3dB Total ((((Propper Droppers)))) Score = 134.1dB JBL Isobaric: 2ohm load / 700wrms Peak= 134.8dB @ 33Hz 40Hz= 133.3dB 33Hz= 134.8dB 25Hz= 133.8dB 20Hz= 134.0dB 10Hz= 126.7dB Total ((((Propper Droppers)))) Score = 132.9dB Baby Magnum 12" DVC: 2ohm / 700wrms Peak= 136.9dB @ 46Hz 40Hz= 133.9dB 33Hz= 132.8dB 25Hz= 131.6dB 20Hz= 133.0dB 10Hz= 124.9dB To…

Your subs used to be like 3xx shipped, the website says 5xx shipped. When did that happen? Are the new mags going to be towards that 5xx or 3xx? -Alex

Hello everyone, New to the forum so I am sorry if this is in the incorrect section but I didn't see anything specific to enclosures. After talking to Aaron from SSA I have made the easy decision to purchase an SSA Xcon 12" very soon. He answered all my questions helping me out a ton. Hands down the best customer service I have dealt with. The customer service plus the fact that the SSA subwoofers are built in the U.S.A. made my decision easy. Alright on to my design. This design will be port/sub both firing up in my crew cab nissan titan. The net volume after all displacement is 2.59 cu ft tuned to 32.7Hz. It has a double baffle and I plan to build it out of 3/4" MDF. I…

They seem great. I still can't believe Mark's prices. You would never guess that they're $36 speakers by looking at them. They even came with grills and hex screws. I'll be installing them tonight. I can't wait. You'll get a review on Monday. Since this is my first post, here's a little background: I'm 16, got into this stuff when I got my car at 14. I drive a Geo Tracker with a pair MAW12s, each in a PWK designed 4th order BP. The boxes are stacked in a wall sorta style. It's ridiculously loud even with the soft top. I have a PHD-10,000W/2 driving the MAWs which are wired to 4 ohms. My front-stage consists of a NINe.4 driving a/d/s tweeters and the MLIs wil…
