I have been looking at the kicker L7's but have now seen the icons, wondering how the two would compare in a ported box, using 2 woofers

I received 4 of these just before Christmas. I have been playing with enclosure volumes and let me tell you these speakers sound great!! I currenty have each of them in .0198 ft3 and they are working great! If anybody has any doubt about these drivers for the money, I don't think there is anything better out there (just my opinion).

Hey I am just wondering what would be better for SQ and SPL.. 2 x Maw12 in 3.6 cubic foot tuned to 32-33hz OR 1 x Maw15 in 3.0 cubic foot tuned to 30hz 500 RMS to either the 1 maw15 or 2x maw 12, so power is the same for both. Anyone have a decent answer?

  7. I am looking at a pair of used Crossfire Db3 12"s, for my nephews ride. Not a brand I am familiar with, so was hoping someone had experience with them. The gentleman selling them only wants $50 for the pair, so right in the price range I want to spend on the kid. I know they are subs and will make sound, just making sure they are not majorly flawed by design or anything. Thanks in advance.

Check out these scores Held my 1st official ((((Propper Droppers)))) event this weekend. Sundays event went really well. Look at my results. Taken from my forum: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- :drummer: :earmuffs: I`m very happy with my SPL Testing results Couldn`t stop thinking about it on the way home - big grin on my face. :earmuffs: 1st to hit 150dB+ @ 20Hz in the U.K :earmuffs: I managed to change the speaker wire to 4x runs of 8gauge instead of the two bits of bell wire I was using. I think the tiny bit of extra effort & more wires did good... Mega Heavy Bass - Walled / Extreme Systems. 1: …

Just posting a follow up to the "Attention Noobtastic" thread in the DC area. Happy Customer Big Box might make it to Autorama 09  it was dark but i knew vids would be demanded soon enough lolz :yahoo: sounds good for only 700w (big surprise, always loud with DC) (Finish was left bare and some stubborn saw burns were left because he said he was going to cover it in fabric. If he decides to stain in the future i'll clean it up a bit more) -Drew

ok ive been using powerbass products for about 1 1\2 years now and recently ive been using the pbx xs12dv2 and am very impressed by its capabilities. 1. because the underated power handling. ive been feeding them a little over 3200 rms for about six months and have had no problems.they have not bottomed out on me nor have they had any defects. 2.they are an spl woofer no doubt.the sq isnt like(awesome)but for an spl woofer it does pretty well. not to muddy. 3.they are loud.i mean ive tested a lot of woofers.if i could compare class of woofers i would say xxx,cmpx2, so on and so fourth. for the money. actually money has nothing to do with these woofers however much you pa…

Ok, im new to what im about to get into. never really graphed out the response of a sub i was interested in before. I purchased this program "subwoofer design toolbox" by Mark Rumreich. I have been punching in the few parameters this programs requires on just about every sub lately that i could possibly be interested in. Alot give me a weird looking graph that to the best of my knowledge looks bad, real peaky. so I run across an sa12 which is in my budget and just might fit my goals. Im looking for a sub that will basically be as much of a ground pounder as i can with 1 sub. I want it to nail the lows and sound decent enough everywhere else. listen to rap and bass heavy …

  17. Hello, I am wondering if anyone would happen to know how big of a box and a great tuning frequency for a Incriminator Audio Judge 15" sub? T/S parameters would also be greatly appreciated. I just need to know the basics really, I can figure out the rest with BassBox Pro 6. So far I just been kinda guessing on what the box size should be. What I have gotten, was 5.5 Cubed tuned to 29Hz.

I'm reconing my XCON. I was going to have The Speaker Exchange do the work, but after they told me $80 an hour for labor and it could take 2 hours I've decided to do it myself. Problem is I didn't order glue from SSA because I wasn't expecting to do the work. Does Lowe's or Home Depot sell a glue that would work? Thanks

Hello folks my name is David and im glad to be new member here. I have 00 s10 extended cab and currently bad subs now lol three yrs later 2-10" re audio sxx d2 in 3.50cubic ft box shared tuned 35hz with mtx 1501d and upgraded electrical system. well since i was low money wise do you think that the soundqubed hds200 10"s would be louder then what i had? considering amp is rated 1500rms@ 2ohms and subs was rated at 1100rms each but the soundqubed hds210 is 600rms each wouldnt it be just as loud or louder considering i would have enought power to push the subs instead of being 250-300rms short of the subs rating rms. I went ahead before this post ordered two of the sq hds210…

Well bad news. Was about to order the second level 6 18 but apparently all the m4 motors are gone. Theve just released the m5 motor. Soo it was all up in the air over either some sp4v2's or new btl neo's. Tried contacting FI three separate times over the past few months with no response. Thus it looks like I shall order a pair of evils in the next couple weeks. I'm not bashing. But I've seen the service ssa provides. And that's the service I'd like to get as a paying customer. God knows this isn't a cheap hobby.

I have had a pair of IXL 12's sitting around since last summer. With the DBDrag coming up locally in a couple weeks I felt it was time to get my arse in gear. Heres the Basic design with the exception that I decided not to do a driver flush mount and therefore increased the width of the top port piece from 4.5" to 5. This box is 3.2cubes net. We did an impedance sweep and its exact tuning is 33hz. Two weeks ago I got my pieces cut and asembeled. Sorry I fogot to take pictures of the bare box. Nothing special though. But Heres the finished box......I previously had an eD 15 in a 2.5 cubes @ 27 hz box in my car and it did a 140.6db on 1200rms. After only a few hours pla…

I've had an Fi BL 15" powered by a Sundown sae-1200d in my 08' Scion tc for a few months now. Simply getting tired of having the bass drown out everything else. I know absolutely nothing about component sets or midbass speakers really, im finding this to be more difficult to learn about than subs.. I have never even heard any components or good speakers in person actually so I dont know how to tell whats good and what isnt. Bascialy my main goal is to have the vocals be heard clear and not be drowned out at all, especially when i upgrade to a btl 15" soon. Also i dont know much about tweeters I just dont want them to be so loud that it hurts my ears or anything lol. Spe…
