I got my brand new DC lvl 3 15" today. To start off i have to say the build quality is very good! It has 5 stiff spiders. Everything looks similar to what would be on an Fi sub/Ascendant/Sundown.. As for entry level. On to the sound... The low end is killer, top isn't as nice.. Dosnt play anything too audiable from 65hz and up. Enclosure is 7.2^ft gross, 3.7 cubic ft net tuned at 30hz, peaking at 45hz. Power handling on 2200rms isn't at its best but it can definatly take it for short burps/demos. I would recomend around 800rms to get this thing moving good. Overall it is a good sub and can get loud. Dosn't have the SQ of my old Fi Q but maybe its the enclosure... Output-7…

So I'm thinking of getting the Lvl 4 12" for my single cab and have designed this Downfiring Enclosure with Port up enclosure. Box is 2.00 Cu. Ft. tuned to 35 Hz. (After Wood & Port Displacement).26 Sq Inches of Port, 21 inches in length. The Website says it recommends 1.5^3 Ported and 2.0^3 For SPL. Does this box look alright.?? Do you guys think 2 Cubes is enough?(If not I think I can squeeze out more space somewhere.) I also wanted to know what the sub displacement is for the Level 4 12"? Thanks, Danny

  11. So this the story guys. I "supposedly" have 2 DC level 3 15s dual 4s and am currently running maybe 500 rms total. I set gains with a dd1 and everything is set the way it should be. Crossovers have also been properly set for my application. These subs apparently have no cooling capability whatsoever has I can hear the dust cap rattling from too much heat.... I pucking hate these things and don't know why I bought them. Any suggestions on if I am wired at the amp wrong? I am wired at 4 ohms total load right now but I don't know. I have a precision power black ice 1800d and I heard the wiring for this amp is a little different? Any help would be appreciated Sincerely, Mlca…

Hey all, a few questions before I buy one off Dave (troublestarter). 1. How will this sub sound in 3cuft tuned to 33hz ? 2. Will it sound good off 800wrms class a/b ? Is that enough power ? 3. Do they do them in D2 flavour ? Im looking for something that will do around 135db on a TL or better, but also great sq for my ambient electronica when I turn the subwoofer level down to around 3 on the P77MP. So basically a jack of all trades. I wanted a level 4 however I dont have enough power for one, and dont want to clip it or change to dirty class D power! Thanks

im thinking about getting 2 dc level 4's (15s) and i was wondering if they come in dual one? i want to run both of them to one amp (possibly the sundown 2000d?) i want to run at one ohm. the dc site only says dual 2, so im just curious.

I am using the CSI-DMR-2012A volt meter and I am trying to measure the impedance of my speaker. So I set it to the 200 setting (lower right hand side if you look at the picture) and touch the probes to the terminals and I get 4.0 - 4.2. This is a two ohm speaker so shouldn't I be getting half that? If I did my research and talked with the right people I should be getting less than half of that current reading for a dual two ohm speaker. I liked this sub until I heard another and now I realize it does sound about half powered so something is wrong here...
