I am thinking of buying an DC level 5 18" Sub but I wanted to know if I had enough power. I have 2 Sundown 1200's so roughly 2400 watts. How would it sound with 2400 watts in a 8 C.F. Box?

Hello all. New sub is being built as we speak (went full carbon fiber cone and dustcap also). Dc suggests 5.5 cubes but im wondering if anyone else has had some experience with these things to give me the right direction to head. The current box is about 7.5 cubes net so a new box is in order. Will also be going up in power soon. Sub will be on a synergy 35.1 at .5 until i can get a bigger amp. It will be daily but also the occasional competition.

Just posting a follow up to the "Attention Noobtastic" thread in the DC area. Happy Customer Big Box might make it to Autorama 09  it was dark but i knew vids would be demanded soon enough lolz :yahoo: sounds good for only 700w (big surprise, always loud with DC) (Finish was left bare and some stubborn saw burns were left because he said he was going to cover it in fabric. If he decides to stain in the future i'll clean it up a bit more) -Drew

I got a chance to listen my buddies DC lvl4 15 this weekend and was very impressed. His set up consist of a 06 US Amps MD2, DC lvl4 15 D2 in a 3.5ft3 tuned at 35htz, stock electrical system, and 1 crappy deck in his Chevy S10. I do have to say these are loud low end monsters! I was very impressed with it. He ordered it from Rusty and recieved it the following day!!! Nicely done!

Had two ppl order DC lvl4xl15s d2 and they where both coming from Mojo 15s. I did and Audiopipe 1800D on one DC in a CRX and they guy sad it was way louder that the mojo on his Kole amp. Cool all is right with the world... btw he has the big 3, double 1/0 and an extra batt. My other customer has a '94 Buick Park Ave with a 2610D from Hifonics. ALso with extra batt, big three, and 1/0 power and ground front to back. I have built this guy 5 boxes in the past 6 months(he's indecisive and we are both ok with this) and he is claiming the mojo is louder across the board. Box is 4cubes tuned to 32hz facing drivers side with the back seat cushion removed. How can I build a box…

I'm planning to purchase a 3500D I also plan to purchase a new sub for it in the near future. I'd like to hear some opinions on which I should buy a fully loaded Fi BTL 15" or a DC LVL 5 15" I debated on a Nightshade 15 as well but they are not rated for this much power daily, maybe when the monster is released I'll switch over to a sundown sub. Thanks

  15. Looking for decent/good SQ and impressive loudness/output. Planning to install 2 12's of one of these types of woofers. Often listen to rap/hip hop, dubstep, and metal. I will be pushing both subs with a Hifonics Zues 3200.1D I have 5 cu ft to work with for both subs, 2.5 for each. That being the max enclosure, it may vary with each sub and tuning.. Anyway can anyone help me with the best choice in woofer?

Im getting a new system soon and i was trying to decided between the dc level 4 and the hdc3, i heard a couple saying that the Xl's are more comparable to AQ's, and i also heard many saying the dc's sound a lot better. My question is which will hit the lows better and sound better?

This sub was tested in my 05 four runner. DbDrag style seald on the dash. This is only the 3rd time testing in this vehicle, but it works well because as an suv it has a large cargo area and doesnt have some rediculous peak like my old crx had. I ran into some heat issues throughout the day and this is only 2/3s of what I planned to test. Look for frequency plots in a few days. SPL results From the beginning of throwing the sub in the box i realized I had a decent spl sub on my hands. I started testing with very minimal power, 10.4 watts , just to show the effeciency of this sub and the fact that you do not need to drop 2000 watts on a driver for it to be loud. Afte…

The specs and design for the DC Sound Lab LFB-2k are exactly the same as the Batcap 2000 and the price is too. So my questions is, are these the same? I've been looking at The Batcap 2000 for a while, so perhaps someone may persuade me towards a DC Sound Lab.
