So have any SSA members played with this new sub? From the reviews I have read so far, its on par with a W7 output wise... but with great SQ. how would it compare with say a 15" Fi Q/bl or SS RL-P? If its comparing to the W7, then my first guess would be not at all(SQ, or SPL)...right? I have not heard any of these subs in person so its hard to make a decision....for the new build. leaning towards rlp's at the moment...

I am fixing to do a build in my 2002 Acura RSX-S. I have everything bought except for the sub. My other equipment is Alpine 9887 Hertz ML280 tweets Hertz MLK 165 mids Audison 5.1k 5 channel. I want to run a ported box. At 4 ohms the sub should see circa 750 watts. At 2 ohms it should see circa 1000. Does TC Sounds, Audiopulse, or SoundSplinter make a sub that would pair up well with the sub channel? I would really love to have one with the high roll surround. I tried doing some searches but came up with tons of dead links and almost no driver specs. Any information would be helpful. If I can't find one of these subs to fit the bill I will just go with a 12w7. …

Quick question, what are the effects of a midbass/range driver missing its dustcap? Recently I dented my cone and tried to fix it but ended up with a speaker with no dustcap attached, no other damage to speaker whatsoever. Its a cheap driver so I can replace it but thought I would ask before purchasing another one. Thanks

Any recomendations on a highly efficient 6.5" comp set, in the sub $150 range? My car has a factory Pioneer touch screen nav that I dont want to mess with, so just running off stock power. The factory tweeters suck, the door speakers are ok with decent mid bass, but cant hold up to highway speeds with the windows down. Was going to do LOC to amp and what not, but after 5k miles the factory system died. So I dont want to have a bunch of spliced wires back there during warranty period incase it happens again. I have a couple sets of CCX65s, but they really seem to want to be amped. Want something that will be half way decent on the stock ~20w or so. I could also just keep u…

Hi, I'm new here / don't post on forums much (too busy!), but I have a question... I am trying to find out if anyone makes a "Marine" woofer / subwoofer that is fairly efficient / would run reasonably well off a 100 watt (actual total RMS watts) amplifier. Very few manufacturers seem to give complete specs, and the few that do seem only to make very inefficient woofs. One 10" we looked at had a Mms of 186 grams and is ~ 85 dB sensitivity. Our target is 92-94 dB/2.00v/1meter. Other considerations: These are for a friend's pontoon boat. The "enclosures" available are approx. 2.5 cu. ft. A low end cutoff of 50 Hz would be plenty low. 10's might "do it", but a good efficient…

Anyone familiar with elevation audio's Execution 12's or 15's? how good are they when compared to either DD 3500,RE SX,DC lvl3 and 4 etc(you catch my drift) in terms of street bass and possibly building a vehicle for bass boxing purposes?

Im strongly considering a 12in DCON S4 for my daily driver. My SA-10s are going to be moved to my Sonoma when its running, and I want to try something different for my daily (07 Altima). Ill get a Crescendo 1000C4 and bridge the rear channels for the sub, having 500rms on tap for it. I listen to mostly rock and techno, very little rap. I like to have more mid bass then really low end, but still would want it to get pretty low. Id like to have the LPF crossed about 100-120Hz. Most of all, I want as even an output across the widest range possible. Looking for more of an SQ setup. I dont care some much for loud bass, as I do air moving bass if that makes sense. I like to f…

Am trying to find out which application would yeild the best results. I recently perchased the JL C5 comp. and was debating whether they would be more effective (Best SQ) in a small fiberglass enclosure in the door or just put them directly into the door without an enclosure. Any help would be great, thanks.

My friend has a 15'' audiobahn, here is the link: http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/Pr...ProductID=13516 Right now he has it in a sealed box but i really feel it would sound better, or at least alot smoother in a ported box. I havent made a ported box yet, but im ready to try. But my question is, size and tuning for this sub. I looked all over for manufacture recomendation for atleast size recs for a ported enclosure but could not find anything. I was thinking maybe a tuning to 32hz or so, but not really sure. Any ideas? Thanks, Mike B.

I just brought a Re Audio Sx 10 being powered by a kicker 06zx1000.1 right now I have it in Mtx Bass Slammer Ported box 1.5cubic ft @ 38hz and the lows are missing to me, I found a custom built box that is 2.0cubic ft net volume tuned to 32Hz. But looking on reading the manual that came with the sub Re says a ported box between 1.0cubic ft @35hz to 1.25cubic ft @34hz. The Question I had is if i put this sub in a larger box thats tuned lower would it hurt the sub? the car its going in is a 4door hatch back.

I have heard that the newer xxx's seem to perform well in small sealed boxes, but am looking for some one with experience. I'm really into low end and sq. I currently have a 4 cube box tuned to 36hz w/ 3 4" aero ports that is doing well, but the sq end is not all there. The vehicle is a 1999 toyota camry. thanks for any help!
