Ok life's been hectic. Accepted a job offer starting out almost five bucks more an hr than I make now.. after 3 years. The audio has been on hold. Looking for a tahoe or gmc yukon. Just want opinions. Either going to order my second dc level 6 18.. or just order a pair of ssa evil 18s. For the price of one sub is close to just ordering the evils. And I know y'all are biased. But that's ok. I the level 6 is a skull cracker.. But not very musical. I don't want something just for burps lol

I was looking at the specs of both subs and they appear similar. I was wondering if these subs are in the same ballpark in terms of goals and design. This is for a daily groundpounder on 1500 watts in a ported box(1.2 cubes) tuned to 33hz and LP at 80hz with subsonic at 30hz/24db. Wondering what the pros and cons are and peoples opinions on which sub is louder and which is cleaner unless either sub is just better in both aspects for this type of set-up. Your opinions are highly valued and appriciated even from those who have no direct experience with both to compare. I listen to mainly house and trance music. Thanks

I found out today when I checked my email that I won a gift card at work that I can spend at Crutchfield or Best Buy. There are other places, but they are the only ones that offer car audio. The card value is $350.00. Would it be worth it to add the extra $150.00 and get a set of these? I also see where they have a set of Focal 3 way Focal Access 165A3 for $499.00, but it does not look like one of the higher end sets. I realize Crutchfield is overpriced, but I still wanted to see if anyone has listened to these or have any opinions about them. I would think they would be nice since Boston puts out a quality product. I have this to work with. 60 Watts x 4 @ 4 ohm 110 Watts…

I have a sundown saz3500d im going to be using to power my subwoofer stage. i cant decide what subs i want to run however. im stuck between 2 Sundown NightShade V2 D1 15's or 2 FI BTL N2 D1 15's (i havent found any videos or opinions on these FI's really?). those are my main two choices but i have been considering saving the money and going with 2 of the sundown z v2 D1 15s. Is it beneficial to go with the top model nightshades compared to the z? in my video watching i have been very impressed by all the sundown 12's. i have also been giving the nightshade v2 d1 12s, z v2 d1 12s, and 4 d2 sa 12s some thought. id really like to see 150db on music, maybe wishing too big, b…

Im looking two get two new subs. What would be a better buy. 2 12" Alpine Type R subs (4ohm) or 2 12" Rockford Fosgate P3 subs(4ohm). They are being powered by a US Amps XT2000D amplifier and will be wired at 1ohm. In a sealed box. I am getting both at the same price but i dont know which ones would sound better. And im also looking at getting some new speakers, debating wheter to get the Alpine Type R 5x7 SPR-57C or the RE Audio RE5X7FR. Any help with this would be much appreciated. Thanks

I have a 4.1 cubic foot box with a IA DR 15 in it with a round port. It's tuned to 30hz with a 4" diameter and a 10" long tube that come out to 12.5 "sq area. I have not listened to it yet, but is this enough port area? Will it hurt the sub?

Hi Guys I'm also planning to do the door speakers (With an Amplifier) in my car and I have never done this I've always only added a sub. So I may have a lot of questions and I'm looking for some direction. This will be hooked up to factory Head unit Via LC6i (unless directed otherwise.) My car has 8 total speakers. Front door has 6.5" speakers and then tweeters in the dash. Rear doors have a 6.5" at the bottom and then a tweeter next to the door handle. I have added pics below for reference. I have no idea what the depth would be or if spacers would or could be used? Not sure how to find that out. Now I don't want to go crazy but I'm willing to flex my bud…

I'm looking to build a serious quality HT sub that will really hit the lows, and with a FS of 15.4 hz thats enough to keep me smiling. i was thinking along the lines of a rectangular box with a 6" port and roughly 15 cubes tuned to 20 hz, what do you guys think? gives me a miniscule bump in the low 20's but keeps the f3 at ~17 hz. i was thinking 1" MDF with a double thickness front baffle, but am not quite sure how to brace it. (i can't wait for the IXL drivers) http://www.techytoys.com/store/product.php?productid=4501 thats what i will be using for an amp, The buttkicker 1100w @ 4 ohm. (i like the idea of a separate sub amp instead of the plate amp setup because i can th…

I have read that the RL-p and Brahma are very comparable subs.... just use different technology. I have never heard either and dont think i would be able to hear either of them. I just noticed that Alpine improved their woofers and they seem to be much better than before. Alpine electronics With the addition of a pole vent, slimmer mounting depth, and bigger motor. I'm not really a fan of many mainstream manufactors but i'm curious to see how these do. Anyone hear about them yet?

Well guys after having a miss-hap with the old skewl kicker (kicker c-series) I decided to go with an eclipse Ti 12" and boy am I one happy person!!!!!! I can't believe how wonderful this thing sounds. I dropped it in the box my RE SE 12" was in (2^3 net) and I know I know it's probably not built to specs but man I just had to test this thing out!!! It sounds a lot better then the SE did with higher range freq probably around 63 and up where the SE lacked. Low end is pretty good too, I might test this sub out in a 1^3 box I got sittin around that's sealed. All n all I'm very happy with my purchase and just wanted to share it with you guys! = me

I currently run a single 12 inch zcon and don't really have the room for multiple sub's or any bigger. I'm looking for suggestions on a sub that will get louder and lower if there is one. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I could fit a 15 but I don't really want to build the box inside the trunk.
