Well guys after having a miss-hap with the old skewl kicker (kicker c-series) I decided to go with an eclipse Ti 12" and boy am I one happy person!!!!!! I can't believe how wonderful this thing sounds. I dropped it in the box my RE SE 12" was in (2^3 net) and I know I know it's probably not built to specs but man I just had to test this thing out!!! It sounds a lot better then the SE did with higher range freq probably around 63 and up where the SE lacked. Low end is pretty good too, I might test this sub out in a 1^3 box I got sittin around that's sealed. All n all I'm very happy with my purchase and just wanted to share it with you guys! = me

Hello all, i have a question about a box design, i have always had beat in all my cars but i have never built a box before so this is going to be my first one, and i was wondering if this design would work or not, its going to go in a 96 blazer. thanks alot

Ok I have an 06 Scion xB. Not much room in the back for a box. I currently have a Sundown Audio Nightshade v1 and a Sundown Audio 1500v1. I would like to change systems and hopefully get a little louder. I will be going with top of line equipment. IE Digital Designs, Sundown, or PSI. What is everyone's opinion on what I should go with?

I found out today when I checked my email that I won a gift card at work that I can spend at Crutchfield or Best Buy. There are other places, but they are the only ones that offer car audio. The card value is $350.00. Would it be worth it to add the extra $150.00 and get a set of these? I also see where they have a set of Focal 3 way Focal Access 165A3 for $499.00, but it does not look like one of the higher end sets. I realize Crutchfield is overpriced, but I still wanted to see if anyone has listened to these or have any opinions about them. Test Box the subs / SoundStream XxX / Memphis M3 MojoMaxx / Pierce Audio Moab / 3x 15"

Here is my dilema. The xcons are asking like 8 cubes each...well 6-10. I can realistically only give them 6 each if that. Should I get 2 18" Xcons with a smaller box for them and only 1500 watts each? Or should I got with 1 18" FI BTL? Full powered around 2500-3000 watts in a 8+ Cubic foot box? I will be running a Audiopipe 30001d which I just ordered. And it will give me 3,000 watts at 2 Ohms Bridged So what would you guys do? One stronger 18" in the perfect box with perfect power. Or 2 xcons with a lesser box a power?

I'm looking to build a serious quality HT sub that will really hit the lows, and with a FS of 15.4 hz thats enough to keep me smiling. i was thinking along the lines of a rectangular box with a 6" port and roughly 15 cubes tuned to 20 hz, what do you guys think? gives me a miniscule bump in the low 20's but keeps the f3 at ~17 hz. i was thinking 1" MDF with a double thickness front baffle, but am not quite sure how to brace it. Hey guys. Just trying to get some quick help. I have Eminence Alpha 6 4ohm drivers in my front doors. One is buzzy, and I want to replace the pair. I am torn between the Cresendo PDX-6 , or the Incriminator dpx-6. They are running on an Alpine PDX 150/ch. Is there another option I should be looking at? Or are those two options good? Is one preferred over the other? Thanks!

From what the coil on db drive wd12 approaches? spiders, cone? What sizes ID, OD, WW at the coil? What recone can approach, if I alter sub in 18inch?

Just curious if anyone has experience wit the new zcon subs yet. Was thinking of running around 4k on an 18 if they can take it daily, or if 3k would me more like it.

i was looking at buying the mmats p2.5 10's to replace my memphis M3's since they are reasonably close in volume recommended in a sealed inclosure 0.65 cu ft. wondering what other subs there might be besides the mmats?

Scooped this up for $40, thought that was a decent deal. Its a 12 and originally a dual 2. Id like to get a quality recone kit for it. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Id like it to be a dual 1.4 with attached leads and as close to stock as possible, unless there's reasons I shouldnt. itll be used for daily listen, ill be runnin a sundown sae 1200 @ 1 ohm to it in a 2 cu ported box tuned to 32 hz. I have a 12 spoke basket I could use if that gives me different options; more excursion?

Hey guys, I was originally going to run my Treo Engineering SSX 18", but decided I don't want to go through upgrading the alternator. Where is the most you recommend running off the stock ALT with an upgraded battery? Can I get away with 2KW? I'm looking to run 2x15's now, something around 750RMS. I'm not to familiar with this power range, what do you guys recommend? Something around $150 each preferably Needs to fit in a 2010 Maxima

Hello guys, I am still waiting for my amp kit and my dash kit for the head unit. But I'm thinking about my future install. I' will run a Pioneer x5600bt and 2 IA amps : a 3.4 on my focal KP 165 and a 20.1 on my 15" zcon sub. I'd like to try an active setup this time. Do you think it is worth trying with my current mids and tweeters ? I know I would need a processor to do so. As I don't want to break the bank, I'll look into the mini dsp you all talk about. My installer will build solid baffles for the speakers, and the tweeters will sit next to the mids. There is no stock place for the tweeters. i need a 12 because i need to save a bit of space dont want any sub rated over 900 rms....price doesnt matter and whatever box i build it will be tuned to 32hz
