From what the coil on db drive wd12 approaches? spiders, cone? What sizes ID, OD, WW at the coil? What recone can approach, if I alter sub in 18inch?

with everyday household items? im gonna be gettin and inverting a 12" claw and the butt is kinda not shiney.

I've got two 10" kicker L5s in my extended cab ranger right now, running off an SAE-1000D amp and it's not loud enough for me. I prefer something that sounds good, and I don't compete so I need a sub for a daily driver. Trying to stay around $250 per sub, I was looking at the Elemental Designs 16Ov2, SSA Icon, Mach5 IXL or possibly the AA Arsenal. Both the eD and the IXL stand out to me, I've heard some favorable things about them. So today I was all set to order my crescendo 2000 . I had planned on a single xcon 15..... anyways. My wife needed me to run to the store and right when I was leaving a person accepted an offer on a mmats 3500.1. Now I have no plan. Are there any 15 subs that run on 2750 daily and can play in a 3cf box?

I recently got a 2015 Altima 4d, and would like to upgrade the factory speakers. I'm not so much concerned with changing the HU (has b/u camera and steering wheel controls), unless it is absolutely necessary. I'm also not concerned with adding a sub, atleast not yet, but is a possibility in the future. As far as speakers go, I'm looking at going to 6.5's and adding a pair of tweeters. It currently has 4 door speakers, a pair of 6x9's in the deck, and a pair of 3.5's in the dash. My thought is to ditch the 6x9's (or just unhook), replace the 3.5's in the dash with some tweets, and replace the front door speakers (possibly all 4 door speakers). I do plan on running the spea…

So I just recently put in some new passive comps in my car powered by about 70 watts rms and they just arnt cutting it anymore right now i have an Alpine cda9886 and infinity kappa conponents and an mtx 2 channel. I want to go active the deck would probably be changed to the alpine cda 9887 and i would need a 4 channel amp (suggestions are very welcome) or a 5 channel(under 200 for the 4 channel or 400 for the 5 channel). I was looking at the mach5 Mli-65's in the door but i dont have any idea what tweeters to go with i dont like very harsh tweeters, and any other suggestions you guys would have would be so helpful. …

Hello, i've been looking around on these forums trying to find a decent 5.25 component set. I found a guy that decided about the dreamline and have heard people praise these before as well (people seem to really enjoy rainbow). I will be unable to make my own kicks(no faith in myself), and do not have anyway to have them made by someone else near me (sucks). I realize putting these speakers in kicks are going to be my best option of placement. So therefore i'm going to have to go with q-forms ( i will be putting sound deadening in them, i heard it helps ) and the max they can hold is about a 5.25. Ok so I'm trying to answer the following questions What is it? What does it do? Does it benefit the subwoofer and/or sound? Should I get it in my enclosure? Well i have been bumping the maw for a couple months now, and have just recently been being hard on it. Today on the way home i was listening to late nite tip, when the whole sound changed. literally like night and day instantly. never saw, or heard anything like this before. now it gets right down and plays the low low note in that song like the others. at first i thought the sub was screwed, cause it sounded so different. then i realised it was playing clearer and louder than before, plus hitting lower. anyone ever experiance this with any sub? pretty crazy huh?

I am not going to continue to ask for details on crapcom about them, so I brought it over here. I have a soft spot in my heart for round solo barics of old. I want to know if the CVX's are the round solo's reborn. I understand they are up market from the L5's, Polecat has said they are the choice for sealed over L7s in SQ and output, and I believe at the moment he is building a install with them in his 'burb. I am goin to be buying either 12" or 15" speakers, i dont really know what to buy, do you recomend goin for 1 18" or 2 12s or even 2 15s? Money is a lil tight, but ive been trying to get a second one. I also need to know about a amp and a box so i know what i need to get and save (money wise). I was thinking for a amp, either a Soundstream or a Rockford Fosgate. If you think there is a better, cheaper and produces more power please let me know. HellO all . I need a little help just got my Rl-i 12's A few days ago. still dont know what zmp to get. I got the dual 4 ohm . Im kinda loking at the octane-R 8.0:1 but dont kno the full specs of this amp. dose it run 1 ohm stable and if it does what wattage .Is it 800 rms at 2 ohms or is that just peak power? nsorry new to the whole sounds thing . planing on making one box for each sub about one cbf 2 one & a 1/4 cbf. if I could get some help or sugestions on amps for these sub it wuld be great .

i just got back from offshore yesterday and i play my sub real low on the way to town then i start turning the sub up. well about 30sec into it it starts popping so i turn the sub off until i get to my house. i take the sub out and the fudgeing spider is completely unglued from the basket. my friend jason at genesis car audio is glueing it back for me tonight. he is an authorized dealer for re. just wanted to vent this cuz i was very pissed!!! charles

Ok..My original plan was to go with a single 12" Q sub. However in my intro thread I was informed I would probably want to look at the BL instead. This is waht Ihave to work with: 1999 Mercury Cougar Looking at about a 1.1ft^3 Sealed enclosure. Amp: Kicker XS100 1200watts I'm aware the Q is rated at 1000w rms. I didn't think the 1200 would be that big of a difference. I read the BL is not a sealed enclosure friendly sub which kind of steered me on a differnt course. Any recommendations are welcome. I'm trying to keep it in the $300 and below range if possible. Thanks
