I'm doing a bit of work on my front stage in my 03 mazda and need some ideas on what drivers I should uses for pillars. I built door panels that house rockford P1652-S components running off my old Pioneer GM6000f rms 125watts per side. Sound is crazy clean but I want a bit more. So, I've got plans for building some new pillars that will either house some coaxials or components. I've got a new VIBE DEATHBOXS4-V1 that will rms125watts x 4 channels. idealy, I want to run my P1652-S's and whatever i put in the pillars off the VIBE and my rear speakers (cheap coaxials from princess auto) off the Pioneer. I am goin to be buying either 12" or 15" speakers, i dont really know what to buy, do you recomend goin for 1 18" or 2 12s or even 2 15s? Money is a lil tight, but ive been trying to get a second one. I also need to know about a amp and a box so i know what i need to get and save (money wise). I was thinking for a amp, either a Soundstream or a Rockford Fosgate. If you think there is a better, cheaper and produces more power please let me know. My budget for speakers is about 800-850, then for a amp 500-700. For 2 12" BTL i think its 728 if im not mistaken. I just ordered some Memphis MSYNC8 comp. and I was wonder how much power would you recommend on these ran active and what crossover points do you recommend? Which is better for these, passive or active? Coaxial or separate? If you own or heard them, how do you like them? Thanks.

Well went to tare down my zcon 15. Going to be reconing to a 12... and the screws holding the basket to the motor are completely striped(from ssa) any idea how I'm going to get this off? Don't really wanna go spend money on a whole buch of stuff to get his off or have to re thread the motor I don't wanna mess up anything. Going to need to put the 12 basket on when I get it

i was wondering what the word is on these from people who've actually used them. i am looking to use them as replacements for my M6 in the doors in a 3way setup so its used to play 100-315hz, maybe 80hz at the lowest. How well do they do as a true midbass driver compared to the M6, Tang Bands, Adire and other midbass drivers.

How can I repair my IDQ 15V1 if the spider partially detached from the landing? Is it time for a recone? Or can I patch it?

So I just recently put in some new passive comps in my car powered by about 70 watts rms and they just arnt cutting it anymore right now i have an Alpine cda9886 and infinity kappa conponents and an mtx 2 channel. I want to go active the deck would probably be changed to the alpine cda 9887 and i would need a 4 channel amp (suggestions are very welcome) or a 5 channel(under 200 for the 4 channel or 400 for the 5 channel). I was looking at the mach5 Mli-65's in the door but i dont have any idea what tweeters to go with i dont like very harsh tweeters, and any other suggestions you guys would have would be so helpful. …

I've been set on trying to get a AE AV-12x, but they are so far behind that, I don't think I'll be able to get one anytime soon. Does anyone have any suggestions for a sub that works best in a small, sealed enclosure. i don't have an amp yet, so power isn't of concern, and I'm looking for something with great SQ, but I do like to crank it up once in a while. thanks for any input.

I was thinking about building a box, but just found one for my Mach 5 MAW-12 sub but am not sure how the sub will sound with the specs on the "Bassworx Box" http://hamilton.kijiji.ca/c-ViewAd?AdId=11...EPLY_TO_AD_SENT. The specs for a MAW-12 recommended are 1.8cf for a ported box, and this Bassworx box seems to be a little bigger. It looks like a good price, and would save me the hassle of building my first box. What might it do for the sound of the sub? I have a 2010 Dodge Nitro. Right now i am running two 12'' dvc 4 ohm L7s with a 2500.1 kicker amp- so 4ohm load. Now it only puts out 1250 @ 4 ohms and 2500@ 2, but it slams them pretty hard- they are 750 rms. Now i do mostly listen to rap music or techno so i like the thump thump thump thump. I am very curious about the BTLs and was wondering if they are capable of slamming harder than the L7s. I was thinking about going with one 12" considering my amp is 2500 @ 2. I need help deciding and i really want to be a believer in Fi cuz all the videos i saw on you tube amazed me. Alright i've been looking on madisound and would like some opinions on these drivers. Seas CD18RE-MDS Seas ER18RNX Peerless nomex830875 Vifa M17SG09 These tweeters peerless HDS Seas 27TAFNC/G Seas 27TFFNC/G peerless DX25TG05 For 2-way active. I know the Seas ER18RNX and Peerless HDS tweeters make a good combo but would like to know what else would be a good combo.

i just got back from offshore yesterday and i play my sub real low on the way to town then i start turning the sub up. well about 30sec into it it starts popping so i turn the sub off until i get to my house. i take the sub out and the fudgeing spider is completely unglued from the basket. my friend jason at genesis car audio is glueing it back for me tonight. he is an authorized dealer for re. just wanted to vent this cuz i was very pissed!!! charles

I've got two 10" kicker L5s in my extended cab ranger right now, running off an SAE-1000D amp and it's not loud enough for me. I prefer something that sounds good, and I don't compete so I need a sub for a daily driver. Trying to stay around $250 per sub, I was looking at the Elemental Designs 16Ov2, SSA Icon, Mach5 IXL or possibly the AA Arsenal. Designing my box for my ZCON 18 this is what I came up with, does this look right to you guys?

I recently got a 2015 Altima 4d, and would like to upgrade the factory speakers. I'm not so much concerned with changing the HU (has b/u camera and steering wheel controls), unless it is absolutely necessary. I'm also not concerned with adding a sub, atleast not yet, but is a possibility in the future. As far as speakers go, I'm looking at going to 6.5's and adding a pair of tweeters. It currently has 4 door speakers, a pair of 6x9's in the deck, and a pair of 3.5's in the dash. My thought is to ditch the 6x9's (or just unhook), replace the 3.5's in the dash with some tweets, and replace the front door speakers (possibly all 4 door speakers). I do plan on running the spea…
