Well I got bored and decided to rip apart a sub to compare with a Magnum. Here's what a pretty regular 12" speaker (rated at 400 watts I think) looks like beside ours:

whay type of mounting should I use to invert my Mag??? I am either going to just build a new box with the magnet facing the rear of the car or, going to build a box in the tire well with the magnet facing up toward the trunk lid. but my concern is how to mount it.

My friend wants an 18 in his jeep and I wanted to know how do the 2 of there 18" subs compare.. He wants a good sub for cheap so I told him Mach 5 was the way to go.

for a decent price of 165.... how much are these worth? i know they are pretty rare, but is it worth the 165?

Here is my dilema. The xcons are asking like 8 cubes each...well 6-10. I can realistically only give them 6 each if that. Should I get 2 18" Xcons with a smaller box for them and only 1500 watts each? Or should I got with 1 18" FI BTL? Full powered around 2500-3000 watts in a 8+ Cubic foot box? I will be running a Audiopipe 30001d which I just ordered. And it will give me 3,000 watts at 2 Ohms Bridged So what would you guys do? One stronger 18" in the perfect box with perfect power. Or 2 xcons with a lesser box a power?

Hi, A friend of mine is looking for an 8" midbass speaker. He has several sizes speakers in his car ! It's not really perfect as ///M5 would have done it, but it sounds so good !!! It's one of the best sounding cars in my island : loud, nice and gets low when needed ! The 8" will be powered by 2 channels of a JBL amp, a pbx 300.4, so about 125 watt rms per side at 4 Ohms. He runs a second JBL amp (100.4) on the smaller speakers and tweeters. Electrical is very good. He has 4 Sundown saz 1000's on 2 SSA Xcon 15" in a small Renault Clio (build log here on ssa forum). Ok so I'm trying to answer the following questions What is it? What does it do? Does it benefit the subwoofer and/or sound? Should I get it in my enclosure? For the following terms: Flush Mount, Double Baffle & Kerft Port Can someone please clearly answer those questions for each term and explain them to me? I'm completely lost. Thanks!

I have a 4.1 cubic foot box with a IA DR 15 in it with a round port. It's tuned to 30hz with a 4" diameter and a 10" long tube that come out to 12.5 "sq area. I have not listened to it yet, but is this enough port area? Will it hurt the sub?

Well its official! I just bought 4 Eminence Alpha 12s and 8 Selenium Bullet tweeters. Will be reusing the 8 Alpha 6s I have also. Was going to do 8 6s, 8 8s, 4 12s, and 8 tweets, but its just too much money. Instead of all 100.2s, Ill be running a 100.4 on the 8 6s, a 100.4 bridged on the 4 12s, and a 100.2 on the 8 Bullets. How can I repair my IDQ 15V1 if the spider partially detached from the landing? Is it time for a recone? Or can I patch it?

I just got 2 Fi Q15's with the BP power and put them on an Audioque 2200d amp. I have listed the specs of the system to see if everything is tuned right? Because the subs just are not hitting as hard as I think they should. Specs: Box made of 3/4 mdf. The box is 8 cuft NET tuned to 32hz with 106sqin of port. external dimensions- 43" wide 30" tall 17" deep Port on the far left - 28.5" high 4" wide keep port 4" wide throughout. Guys, Sorry wrong title I don't know how to edit title What will you choose between these two setup 1. DC Level 5 15" will be powered by Amp 3,000 watts or 2. Warden 12" will be powered by strapped two 2,000 watts amp. Both will have sufficient power to back them up.(HO Alt, batteries and big3 ) Thanks in advance!

Hey everbody since my icon doesn't work any more i was looking for a new sub and i was kinda stuck between the xcon 12 or a bl 12 fully loaded and was wondering which would be louder. sq doesnt matter much but its a plus and right now, im leaning towards the xcon because of how much i loved the icon and i was looking for some suggestions.

Considering running some 6.5 or 8" woofers for mid bass under the mid seats and the center console in my Burb. Was wondering if it was omni directional...

Since I only have room for 1, thats what I would have to work with. Again, I have 1200 watts to feed it. Box can be up to 3 cubes externally measured. I can give dimensions later because I will need help designing the box.

i was looking at buying the mmats p2.5 10's to replace my memphis M3's since they are reasonably close in volume recommended in a sealed inclosure 0.65 cu ft. wondering what other subs there might be besides the mmats?
