Subwoofers / Speakers

So currently I have my six sa-10's wired up to a saz-3500d @ 1.33ohms and I'm hoping to get more out of this setup. I have a second saz-3500d coming tomorrow. I'm thinking I'll bridge the two amps after upgrading my electrical (acouple d3100's). I'm curious if you guys think this approach is sane or if you think the subs are going to smoke from the extra juice. I realize this is most likely one of those near impossible to answer questions that gets asked here all too often. Also, subs are turned to 32hz with 1.3cf each. Thanks.

Looks like I desoldered a tinsel lead from my BTL...on accident. It looks like it's too short...I resoldered it already but I can't turn it up loud or I get a scraping from (guessing) the lead being too short causing the cone/coil to rock. Can I just desolder the lead from the landing, resolder a piece of 12ga stranded wire to the landing and crimp the lead to that? Or should I order 5 meters of tinsel from an online vendor and try to desolder the lead from a difficult spot near the cone and try to do it "right"? Thoughts? Thanks.

so, as the title states i am looking to put together my own set of components. i found this silver flute mid that looks like it has a great flat response in the vocal ranges. does anyone think this thing will perform as its specs show? seems to good to be true for somthing of this price.and it will be paired with a sb acoustics tweeter crossed over at 2500 hz.(second order crossover) https://www.madisound.com/store/product_info.php?products_id=846

I am looking at these Treo SSx series components and am wanting to know if anyone has heard them or knows anything about them? I am curious as to how that dual tweeter design sounds and what the price of these things are. Any help is greatly appreciated.

hey everyone...so i just installed my new audiopipe ap15001d about a week ago and am loving it! this icon is a totally different beast now! for a single 12'' it makes things rattle like crazy! i have set the gain with a dmm for about 900 watts or so (my box is 2.5 cubes tuned to 32hz with 37.5 sq inches of port so i dont have it at the full 1000 because the box is the manufactures maximum size) but recently i have noticed some poping and cracking noises coming from the sub during certain songs. now it doesnt do it on every song and there are about 3-4 that are making it do this. I need help deciding on a pair of subs for my new setup. This setup I'd going in an Isuzu Trooper, and so far I have it sound deadened with sound deadened showdowns, I have the component setup run off of a Sundown 2.250, and I now need help making a decision on a pair of subs based on my box and the amount of power I can run. I already got the box professionally made and it's 8cubes tuned to 33hz. I've been looking between an XCON 15 or two Sa-12's. XCON being in a 3.5 tuned to 33hz and the Sa-12's in a 3.5 tuned to 35 hz. Either choice has the same power Saz-1500dv.2. I'm just having a tough time deciding. Both choices are around the same price. I just want an average daily system that gets very loud and sounds good doing it. It will be going in a trunk car though. Any input/personal experiences with either of the subs are greatly appreciated.

I have a set of Bravox Audio CS60K components and i was wondering if anyone could recommend crossover points? Ive read that the supplied passives low-pass the mid 1000hz@6db and high-pass the tweet at 4200hz@19db. I'm using a 3sixty.2 and the slopes i have are 12 and 24db and powering the components with a T400-4, any recommendations are appreciated.

I need some opinions on the Death Penalty... I will be running 3k rms to each 15'' DP that im going to order tomorrow and im wondering if anyone here has experience with that sub. I would like to see some opinions on this woofer as nobody around here runs IA... I have only heard 4 21'' wardens before and that was a burp van so yea.... Hi, im having trouble deciding what to tune my box to. the box is going to be about 3.1 cubic feet after the displacement of the subs, i was wondering how many 4 inch aero ports i would need, and what to tune the box to. if i can get some peoples input it would be greatly appreciated.

I just purchased some bravox cs60cf components and I would like to run them active. I would like to know what is a good rms to give the tweeter and a good rms for the midbass. I have a jl 500/5 that gives 100 rms for front two channels and 25 rms for the back two.

Hey guys, I am looking for a design for a 12 inch subwoofer box. The thing is that it has to be with kerfed port and flushed driver, 1.75 cub feet for a SA-12 tuned to 35hz. The closed thing I was able to find were these two but no kerfing and the second one is a bit bigger than needed(double baffle will be just redone as flush mount). Does anyone have any already made ones or can help with redoing these? If it was not a kerfed box I would just put another sheet on top for flush mount but it has to be on the inside and that will mess up the net volume. I am just new to all this... Will a 15" SRx hold up on a kicker 400.1 daily.?

Well, I have 2 RE SE 12's on a Us Amps XT4000DEV2, heres the problem my stock speakers can't hold up for shit.......And my max budget on Speakers is 100$ and as for an amp I'm pretty set on the Us Amps XT800.4V2 for the price(50)......So my decision is on what components i should get....Was originally set on some Type R's to match my rears, then SSA has the bravox group buy and all this happening I can't decide i just want to hear my mids and highs over my subs. I well deaden the doors and make a little sealed chamber for better mid. Might go active but I'm not so sure. I also plan on getting an EQ so just need to decide on which things to get. Oh BTW my speaker hole is 6…

My next setup is going to consist of a single 12" driver in a Khaotik ported enclosure. My question: As far as output goes, not SQ by any means, which is better suited for my situation? A Fi SSD 12" or an SSA ICON 12"? The sub will be seeing around 1500 watts, probably not the full 1500 but that's about RMS on the amp. I'm looking for strictly output. I have all electrical necessary for the setup. It's just that after shipping, these 2 subs are about the exact same price, and same RMS rating. Just needing input, on the output of them lol. Have a question about which voice coils to go with, dual 1ohm or dual 2 ohm? The dual 2ohm will give me a 1ohm load which is 1200wRMS from the 1200d while dual 1 ohm will give me a 2ohm load which is 870wrms. The sub is "rated" at 1000wrms but I have watched a bunch of videos and alot of people have written about giving them alot more power. So my question: Do I play it safe and go with the 870wrms or can this sub handle the 1200wrms without being damaged? Thank you.

I got shafted by robotunderground with a dank adire audio brahma 12". It died after about 6 months of use running it on an Arc Audio 1000.1, 800w @ 4ohms. i ordered my IA death row 15 and i have a sae-1500dv2 and i am building the box... i need some suggestions on box size and port area.... i have a grand prix gtp and i have looked at recomended sizes and port but need input from a user and what would be the best to get loudest on music... let me know and all sugestions are welcomed thanks

this might be a dumb question, but can u wire dual 1.4 ohm speakers to 1ohm or do you just have to wire to .7- if you have to wire to .7 can you explain how to do that please?
