I am putting together a system, and i hear the pro's and con's of each box. My questions is a two part question, the first one is: seeing that a sealed box is more for sq, and covers a wide wavelengths, and the vented box is louder but does not do well in many of the wavelengths or you might call it hz. why not do one side sealed and one side vented 12"S ? is there a reason why it would not blend like a two way sub box? and if it is posiable would two mono amps be better then one amp the yields the same wattage?

2x Level 3 12's with an AQ 1200d amp, the box is little more than 4 cubes tuned to 39.5 hz, off some tones i was able to do a 139.9, and then some tuning bumped me up to 140.0 db, sealed with TL on the window. The hard part is its in a 4 dr car which are f*ckn hard to get loud, but we shall see what this setup can do when tuned to 43-44 hz, should have results Thursday with some pictures.

Ryan was a great Guy to deal with fast responses was miss communication on first design and he got me another design within a few hours. Great Guy and good customer service would happily do business with again. John T

I need clarification on something. I am doing a weird wiring scheme for some tweeters, well I think I might. I have 10 tweeters that have a nominal impedance of 6 ohms. I need confirmation on the load if wired in this fashion. 3-2-2-3 By my calculation this would give me a final load of 3.75, correct? Each set is wired in series, then all 4 sets are wired in paralell.

So I've seen a ton of videos featuring hair tricks and I figured it'd be cool to see if my system can pull it off..Only problem is that I'm clueless how to go about it. Obviously someone with long hair is needed. I'm not sure what song would be best, or what window for that matter... Any tips for me? Is it pretty much just trial and error? Any reason my system wouldn't be able to hair trick? Does hairspray\hairgel have a negative impact on it?

  15. I've been browsing speakers to replace in my doors as my project is finally coming together and I came across the "Vipera f6." http://lautsprechershop.de/pdf/audiodevelopment/f_line.pdf 26mm xmax... Wow that blows away the exodus anarchy. I highly doubt I would buy them (at around $280 each) however I was wondering if anyone has ever used this midbass or their other products? Interesting product to say the least.

So I noticed Mach 5's got something in the works with the IXL 8". Was wondering if there's any updates on these?? I'm going to run a quad 8" setup and am down to my final choices of subs; DD 1508 and the RE RE8. I'll highly consider the IXL if it will rival these. ps It's great to see a Canadian company making some waves in the audio world. CHEERS FROM RED DEER!!

Hi ! Yesterday I received my 12" FI BTL N2. First thing first : the box was really heavy. They saiys Neodym would make the sub lighter, but I think it's heavier than a 15" Xcon !!! (I may be wrong, but it's 20 Kg). This sub seems small to me. I've been running only 15" subs for years now : S15 L7 kicker (in my car for now), Impact car audio 67 series, SSA Icon, SSA, Xcon. Maybe that's why I found this 12" so small !!!! Small and heavy ! I could not take pics because my new phone (BB curve 9300) doesn't have any light/flash for night pics. I was surprised to see how this thing looks like it was made by ...hands and not by machines on an automatic assembly line! You can see…

  22. Hey guys, I was originally going to run my Treo Engineering SSX 18", but decided I don't want to go through upgrading the alternator. Where is the most you recommend running off the stock ALT with an upgraded battery? Can I get away with 2KW? I'm looking to run 2x15's now, something around 750RMS. I'm not to familiar with this power range, what do you guys recommend? Something around $150 each preferably Needs to fit in a 2010 Maxima
