I have sundown saz1500d amp...I have 0 guage power supply. First I hade a orion H2 15 D2 hooked up running at 1 ohm blew it up after a week was in a orion built to spec box...Next I purchased a RE Audio MX15 D1 Lasted 3 months was running at 2 ohms so it was getting maybe 7 or 800 watts...Dont know why im blowing sub?? amp levels are not maxed by any means...Looking for a single 15" subwoofer for daily use that wont blow up on me....I need input please Looking for SPL but I still want it to sound well... A single 12 setup would be the best option spacewise in my trunk and help me achieve the goal of LSQ....lol. Im looking for a new set of speakers since my current SB Acoustics are ruined by water damage from my current door panel. Im getting a new car soon and wanted to see if there were any pros or cons in swapping drivers. Currently I have no problems with my SB Acoustics SB17NRXC35-4. But if Im going to get another pair I minus well compare them to whats on the market now. I have narrowed it down between these three drivers: SSA Evil 6.5", Fi FN.7 or my current SB Acoustic Drivers. I'm gonna be gettng a new system in a few months, after I save up the money, (had a single alpine type R, sold it to get some cold cathodes, currently got 8 under my seat and dash), and I want to go with RE. My wallets liking the SE, But part of me wants to get the SX's. My question is, Will there be a noticable differance between the SE's and the SX's? I will be running 2 12's in a ported box. I managed to get my hands on 4 old school Rockford Fosgate 12" Punch Z's yesterday in about a 4ft^3 sealed box for 30$ and a pre-fab sealed box for 2 15's... Just for kicks and giggles, I put this setup in the trunk of my Grand Am hooked to a 1000w memphis amp. Drove up the street playing "I'm Raw" by Lil Wayne, turned the bass knob up, and just about S*** myself. I was absolutely blown away by the performance of these things! They don't look like they could blow the dust off of the dustcap.. but looks obviously aren't everything. For 30$, I'd say I've found myself a great temporary daily setup until I order my Z15. So I have everything but my subs and I'm killing myself trying to decide on subs! I have an Arc 2300se for sub duty, birth sheet says 1400w bridged @ 4ohms. So I'm looking for two 12s, sealed for space issues, separate sealed boxes that is. 700 watts a piece with SQ being a priority, some Xmax for output maybe, as I do like my bass and want to be able to flex my muscles. Full legatia se 3 way front stage to blend with.

Here are my babies fr the end of the 04 to 05 season. They are a pair of dB Drive Platinum 10's that are dual 2 ohm. Should be well with about 2k of power of each one. They seemed great for the price and build quality looks decent. Having the box made as we speak. Will get to do some tests with a little power on my Linear X this Saturday (my MECA setup) and get some tests done at the Hurricane Relief show on Sunday (hopefully) with the Audio Control 190. Not going to put the Concepts to the subs yet because of my stock electrical system. I will update everyone when I get some numbers. Anyone have any experience with the dB Drive Platinum's?

looking at 300-500 watts RMS, would not like to spend much more than 200 right now im thinking ID12v3D4 Diamond Audio D312 I like the FISSD and FIQs, but they have RMS ratings of like 800-1000, and I don't want to drop a bunch of money on a huge amp im much more concerned with sound quality but would like it to get semi-loud at times I'm almost set on the ID12 but wanted to just get some final opinions

well, being who I am (very inquisitive by nature) I constantly find myself loomking at audio equipment, and as such, I always wonder to myself, hey that would be neat to have etc... So, I keep looking at 15 inch subs lately for some reason, and more specifically, at the RE SEX15D4, has anyone on here have experience with it? I just may, and a big "may" be able to convince the wife to let me buy one..... maybe... It'll be powered by a JBL GTO 601.1 amp. I have a 4000 watt hifonics brutus amp, and im have trouble deciding which subs i should get. i have been thinking about getting 1 18btl but i have herd that getting just one 18 btl is not a good idea. why is that not a good idea? if its not a good idea what subs should i look into, i have a trail blazer so space is pretty much unlimited, and im looking to spend no more than 750 for sub(s). Or have i herd wrong is one 18btl the way to go, i just want to bump really hard im not looking to enter into competitions and such just for my everyday driving, ha and maybe to show off a little. any and all help is appreciated.

hi all I'm buying a single 12" re audio xxx new style. I could get my hands on the old style 18 but don't think I'll have the space so I'm gonna go with the 12. I need to figure out what to do about a box for it. any ideas on tuning or size? I'd like to tune it low I like screwed and chopped due to all the low notes in it. like the 20-30 hz range is where most of my bass hits. hence why I'm going with a xxx now instead of my soft Parts aa assassin 8's . I've got around 30 in wide by 17 in tall by hopefully 20 or under deep. any help would be greatly appreciated. output isn't the biggest concern but would be nice. the low tuning and sq is the most important part.

Well, the issue I am having is that I am running the component set off of a Sundown SAX 100.2 2-channel amplifier which is rated at 100watts x 2 channels @ 4-ohms. The issue I am having is that I have the gains on this amplifier set at 1/3 of the way, the volume on the HU is at 26/35(roughly around 75%), volume offset at +3db's, and the EQ settings on a preset setting. No loudness on the Ipod EQ or the HU EQ. So I decided since I must be exceeding the tweeter's power handling that the amplifier must be outputting atleast over 20 AC Volts(= 100watts at 4-Ohm). Hi folks and Mark, I purchased an MAW-12 earlier this year to build into a home audio set-up for my apartment, to also match with another DIY speaker project I completed this year. I built it in a sealed top-firing configuration with a separation between the driver and the top plate. The bottom is heavily reinforced and the sub now sits on a square cement plate covered with foam window insulation. I did all this in an effort to minimize floor vibrations and to help prevent too many enemies forming against me while I begin the DIY audio thing. This thread will be the official thread for the new BM series prototypes. When I get back to the office tonight I will post up the T/S's for the 10" version. The 12" version is being built now, and I should have T/S's in a few days (along with the woofer hopefully). I'll post again tonight with the T/S's and then I'll continue to keep this thread updated with all information regarding the new and improved BM series. I am sure it has been asked before, but I am looking for some real experiences with midbass drivers. I snagged a set of Rainbow Pro components (4" and tweet) cheap and am looking for something to give the midbass some foundation. I have used MB Quart exclusively for about 17 years and just switched to Focal about a year ago. i am interested in RE, DD, Seas Lotus, or anything in that range. Any help would be appreciated. As of now i have an AQ2200 and 2 12 Type R's.. I cannot decide if i want to get 2 more type r's or sell the current type r's and buy 2 15'' HDC3s(copper) If i was to get the HDC3 i'd buy another AQ2200, but if i was to get 2 more type r's i would just use the 1 AQ2200 I alrdy know im going to need more batts with the 2 AQ2200 then i would with 1 AQ2200 and possibly a bigger alt. Dont think about budget when picking between the 2 choises Thanks Dom.

IM tired of my crappy computer set up, im thinking of building my own as i colect pocket change, budget will probably be ~$50 for speaks and tweets and ill probably do one 8" or even a 6.5 for the sub. Any ideas? ive been skimming through partsexpress but i dont knwo what's worth it and what isnt.

Hi guys I recently had recommendation for a 15 inch BL , but i was thinking about an xcon . Which is deeper and louder off a 1500d ,and any box and tuning suggestions. even open to other suggestions in brand or size.Set up is for a dodge durango.One other question I see alot of recommendations for Sundown amps are they clearly the best in performance and power, or is it the great customer service I hear about.
