I know there's you "I could care less how it looks, it's all about performance" but to me that's almost never true. Those blue ass "HIFONICS" logos and smooth one piece dustcaps like the AA Havoc has all add to the final product. hi first off im new. I am going to get a 15" xcon with the khaotik ported enclosure and i still have stock speakers. I am looking for speakers that will sound good with this sub. Im going to upgrade to a 260 amp alternator, new wiring to the speakers. Its going in a 2008 Trailblazer LT with bose and onstar Look to use the Stetsom TH 4080 Amp with them Any help would be appreciated

Man, I'm impressed by the looks of this thing...I saw pictures and all, but in person is just that much better. Dig the look of the spoked basket b/c you can see a lot of the cone...just gives it a better look, IMO. Chromed motor = I'm surprised by the suspension stiffness, though...seems to me fairly soft compared to the old one? Maybe it'll make the cone move "faster"...help out transient response... It's just too bad that all I have is ~300w @ 4ohms right now...waiting on my Tantrum to arrive. Must...go...install...

So here's the scoop. I have A 2004 Dodge Ram quad cab that i plan on outfitting this spring, and I am very indecisive so I figure I better start planning things out now. I have learned from this forum and my own mistakes to start with the front stage, so that's where I'm at. Right now there are 6x9s in the front and 5.25s in the rear. I am thinking of doing 6.5 componants up front and just leaving the rear alone, unless it is greatly beneficial. I guess my first question is active or passive. Ok so Ive had many systems in my life time. I am looking for a 10" or 12" no more than $150. I would prefer a 10" in a ported box. I have a jl audio xd500/3 so 300 at 2ohms on the sub channel. I'm not gonna upgrade amps. I will run the front speakers off the front two channels at 70x2 or something like that. I can buy jl audio, alpine, kenwood, and hertz at almost cost. For example jl10w0v3 $65 ea. So I want to know some what you all think. I was thinking about 1.5ft^3 but I know it will depend on the sub. Let me know what subs.

just out of curiosity, how would you say the magnum d2 stacks/sounds compared to a 12 inch idmax V.3 D2

So I have pretty much decided that I am going to choose 1 of 2 things.. I have 4 Memphis Mojo 15s right now and I am either going to a) do a third row wall or b) buy two DD9518g's The reason for the third row wall is because I don't have enough space for my batteries and amps with a traditional box right now because my truck isn't that big. What do you guys think? Keep the 4 or sell them off and go with 2 18s?

I am looking at getting a new 12" or 15" sub for my 2001 Jetta. I am looking between the IA Death Row and the FI BL. I listen to mostly rap and I would be building my own box to spec. I only have enough room for one 12" or 15" so about 3.5 cu. ft. Currently I have a Hifonics BXI1206D so 1200 w rms @ 1 ohm. Any other suggestions would be apprecitated, looking for something loud that sounds good.

Is it really recommended for a daily driver not get to get spl rated subs or is it acceptable?

I've got a question regarding my XCON, it looks like the glue is separating from the cone and the surround on the underside of the sub. I was wondering how to go about repairing this issue. Thanks in advance.

I'm looking through my subs owner's manual, and I can't find the displacement. What is displacement represented as? I've Googled it every way possible and still have come up with nothing. They are Clarion SW1051's. Sorry for the noob question.

Hey all, I just put two DD 1508's ported in the back of my extended cab f150, and to be honest they sound like poo. They do get loud, but notes just run together, no definition. That being said I'm thinking about offloading them and trying two maw15's sealed. I'm curious if these are more of a SQ driver, for the price they are hard to say no to.

will we EVER see an LMT driver which is optimized for home theater use? The Tumult 15d2 should have some competition in this area. That said, i would just love to get my hands on an rls-15 and put it in a sealed box with a LT circuit or Bassis unit. If we could only get some good T/S...

i just put the order in for a 12 d2!!! now i must have the box ready when it gets here!!! so her is what i have to work with *i have a 2003 mustang and a hifonics 1500d *i want to go ported around 3.0 with a tuning of about 32-29 ( i need help there) * i listen to mainly rap so i want a loud loud bass! the box i have in mind is a 14hx31x16d which equals 3.091 internal volume. -when i get ready figure out port tuning, will i put in the calc that the box is 3.0 or 2.7 due to the port and driver displacement? -what is the difference between tuning to 29 or 32 sound wise? -is 3.0 internal volume to big for a mag? -would i be wrong for just spraypainting the box instead of c…

Hello, Can you guys give me some suggestions on some subs that might work for me. I am looking at putting a Zed audio Deuce or possibly a couple of Miniliths into a Civic 4 door and use something other than the Rockford DVCs we have. I am thinking an Icon or Soundsplinter 10 or 12. I have about 2.5cubic feet to work with so that will limit what I do as well. I am comfortable doing slot ported and sealed boxes. I have a second battery and everything done I am just thinking about changing around the sub dept. for something that is more for sound quality but can get loud as well.
