I am no electrical pro, and I've always wondered, is there a huge difference in have a 1 ohm sub and a 2 ohm sub?

So my cousin sold me his RE SE 12 for 60 dollars saying it was popped well it's not realy popped but the coils are pretty dark. So either way I am going to RECONE it from FI. I am planning to throw 1000wrms what options should i add for that extra power handling. has anyone heard the ascendant audio havoc in a sealed enclosure? i am getting 2 aa havoc 15's (d2) in a sealed enclosure with roughly 2.4 ft^3 per sub after all displacements each will have it's own rf t1500-1bd they will be firing upwards in my subaru impreza outback sport (hatchback) rewound 160 amp alt and 3 xspower d5100 batts second skin on hatch, roof, and trunk floor i have already ordered them from defiant audio and the suspense is killing me coming up from 2 ported infinity reference 1252w's ( one has a cracked cone and sounds terrible) on a single t1500-1bd any guesses on what kinda tl scores i could get with these? i was hoping for at least 140 whil…

i have a 95 jimmy, with 2 cvr 15's and 1 sae 1200dv2. i am wanting 2 other choices for CHEAP spl, i will be buying another sae 1200dv2, db electrical 220a alt and couple kinetic batts, to TRY keep voltage around 14v to achieve around 1500rms each amp. and i also dont want my back seat to go down. the choices are, 4 AQ SDC2.5 12s -- 4 L5 solo-b 12's i know i gotta be careful with the barics, and they sound like , but i want loudest possible for best price. i want 4 12s. also either of the new setups (4 12s and extra amp) will definitely be louder than my cvr 15's right?

I have 2 15" Xcons with a Sundown 3000 with a 1400kinetik in the back. So I let my little brother take the car out to get some food, and he comes back and says, "Your bass is not on...". He knows better than to abuse my system so I go take a look. Seems like he took a sharp turn because the power wire was just barely in. the amp im set on is a rockford fosgate t15001bd on that power which would be louder 2 incriminator audio lethal injections 12s or 1 incriminator audio death penalty 15 if they were in the perfect boxes

My buddy wants to know which would be the loudest set up... He is starting out with BoX/Sub first before he buys the AMP. should he go 2 12's 1 15's or 1 18 (if he can fit it in that dimension) SUB choices BTLS, LEVEL 5's, MAYHEMS!! REMEMBER the loudest possible set up!! We just measured his trunk and the biggest he can go is L 27" x W 32'' x H 17"

both dual 2ohm running at 1ohm. My question, which would be better for numbers. The 9512 in a 2.75cuft box tuned to 37hertz or a 9515 in a 3cuft tuned to 37hertz. My amp is a sundown 2000d. As of right now, my suv peaks at 50hertz with now deadening.

ok so i have a rockford fosgate power hx2 in a 4.6cuft ported at 40hz. my saz1500 is on its way to db-r for repair. well i got this sub bnib and the only amp i've had on it is a bazooka 500wrms mono. for like 2 months it was wired at 1ohm.well the amp is only 2 ohm stable and it decided it wasnt gonna except the 1ohm load anymore. so its at 4ohm now which would be around 250wrms. i've read and heard that u can underpower subs but read alot more that that is b.s. well the sub is rated at 300-1000wrms and i've been thinkin bout this alot. well i took my ol' lady to work earlier and im hearing what sounds like sumthing againts the box rattling. my box is mounted where my bac…

just bought a 2000 chevy silverado 1500 reg cab and im looking for some suggestions on subs to get my friend has a dual 12 box im buying from him and i only want about 1200 to 1500 watts rms so i dont have to get a h/o alt im putting dual batts under the hood and a alpine headunit rockford fosgate power 6.5s ill probably get a t1500bd so i need 2 12s that will sound good and get loud in a seal box thanx in advance

Currently I have a Boston Acoustics G512-44 on a Rockford P1000-1bd. I have it sealed, running at 2-ohm, I like the way it sounds. I listen to mostly rock/rap, with the occasional classic rock and R&B. My goals are to have more output, but still keep accuracy. I really enjoy a tight double bass, and love the deep bass from rap. My G5 plays double bass really good, and hits lows alright. I know I could build a ported box and try that first, but I would like to try something new. I listen to a wide variety of music ranging from house, deep house, electronic, metal, alternative, rap/hip-hop. Vehicle is a 2003 honda civic coupe.. sub in the trunk. Stock electrical. I have a friend with dual Kicker L5s running at 1000 watts total with his factory Durango infinity audio system..I'd like more output and more sound quality than that. i have noticed that The new RE subwoofers like the SR, SE, SXX are badly built unlike they where before.. correct me if im wrong but RE subwoofers are now china made but parts still came from US.. if i where to compare products in general.. i would like to know your opinion about these.. which is a better brand in general terms and application.. RE vs FI? RE vs SunDown(subwoofers)? RE vs AA? fi sundown and aa seem to have the same built for that subwoofer.. they have the element of just by looking at them you knw this sub is loud..
