What are some of the specs u recommend for 2 12" in a trunk car. This will go in a 1998 Nissan Altima.... My bass race vehice..

I've got an IXL18.4 and I'm thinking about trying it in my car. I would only have 3 cubic feet of volume to work with and it would be running off of 750 watts (Audison LRx 5.1K). How would that sound? Would it be peaky? Would I be able to blend it well enough to call it musical? I appreciate all the input you can offer. I don't have a ton of spare time to experiment so if you don't think this will work well I'll probably just install the JL 12w6v2 that I was originally intending on using.

Some guys wanted to take a listen at my Magnum 15" so I started up my car and cranked it up for about 10 seconds or so of solid bass to let them see just how clean and loud it would go, and then a few minutes later a cop pulled into the parking lot and got out to have a word with me. I've been thinking about changing my sub setup in my regular cab sonoma for a couple of months now. Currently I'm running 2 RE10s in a sealed box each powered off of one channel of a Hifonics zx4000. I've been throwing around the idea of putting 4 of the Tang Band 6.5s in there to gain some space back for me to be more comfortable, but I think I'd rather go with something much louder. well i am still trying to find the sub for me but i need some help.what would be louder? ok i trying to decide between a Fi BL 18 or a Fi Q 18. the BL would have these options: dual 2ohm cooling-yes flatwind coil-yes SPL or Daily-DAILY Extreme lead-no universisal-yes Fi Q 18 options dual 2ohm BP power-yes both would be in 6 Cu. Having never heard an Icon 10" in a sealed box I was wondering if it would be worth the money to upgrade the JL 10w3v3 that is currently in my JL stealth box? Box volume is .625 and is located under the center console in a 2006 toyota tundra double cab. I currently have a 500 watt RF powering it but I would upgrade the amp too if I did the switch. Basically I'm wondering if it would be significantly louder. I understand that a small sealed box isn't ideal for "loud" but it was nice keeping my back seat. Any opinions would be appreciated.

Hi everyone, i started to describe my plans in the noob section but i figured i would bring it over here so it would get some more attention and i could begin ordering some parts. The car is an '07 G35 coupe, and i am looking for a system that can get reasonably loud, sound good soing it, and add the least amount of weight as i don't wanna kill the weight distribution on the car. I was originally looking at the FI Q's but i decided that i wanna go with the Icons instead. I just got 2 Fi Q15's with the BP power and put them on an Audioque 2200d amp. I have listed the specs of the system to see if everything is tuned right? Because the subs just are not hitting as hard as I think they should. Specs: Box made of 3/4 mdf. The box is 8 cuft NET tuned to 32hz with 106sqin of port. external dimensions- 43" wide 30" tall 17" deep Port on the far left - 28.5" high 4" wide keep port 4" wide throughout. whay type of mounting should I use to invert my Mag??? I am either going to just build a new box with the magnet facing the rear of the car or, going to build a box in the tire well with the magnet facing up toward the trunk lid. but my concern is how to mount it.

Yes I've search around for comparison of the Mach 5 Audio IXL 12" with other subs, but with not much luck. So I was wondering people who have experience with this driver how does it compares with the RE Audio SE's, the FI Q and the FI SSD in Loudness in sealed enclosure of 1ft^3 I know they have awesome SQ, can they handle much more than they rated 1000wrms daily? For a loud daily driver with multiple of subs like 20+ in a sealed enclosure, which one of the above will you choose? it has to be loud sealed because a bunch of them, good sq and good power handling. Wasup guys at SSA! Its been a while and I need help on a upcoming setup I plan on getting in a week or two. What system would be loudest between 6 10" RE Audio REX 10's, 2 12" Alpine Type R's, Or a 18" Mach 5 Audio IXL 18.2.2. I might be right but six tens (period) should be louder because of more cone area but I dont really know. I also havent heard RE Audio products personally and on top of that the REX ones are entry subs. Their 175wrms each but can take more power and I just wanna be loud and still hit lows good. im seeing some great reveiws for this cheap set of comps. the stock locations in the doors is a 5.25 and i can get the pg rds-5cs for 80$ shipped. i havent found a set of 6" anywhere but i did find a 6.5" set on ebay for 120$. is 40$ worth the money? will the difference in size make much difference? does anyone have a better price for the 6.5" or 6"? id like the added midbass but for another 40$ idk if i wana spend that on speakers or the amp... im also not sure if i can get the 6.5" in the door. the 5.25s are mounted in a plastic (not sure how to describe it..) extrusion in kind of like a kick... but anyways there is hole behind that plastic thing which may, along with…

I Order an Audioque HDC3 12" sub and I was wondering is a 3 cubic ft box tuned to 35Hz is good? I really want deep bass and I want to know if this well get loud? It will be powered off a MB Quart onx1.1500d.

In an earlier thread, Dave Brooks and other suggested i use HLCDs with 4Kw of bass so i don't drown out the stock tweeters that wouldnt be there by that time anyway. It appears as though the surrounds on my Cadences have developed a couple tears so I guess it's time to replace them. I think you guys have a pretty good idea of my music tastes, but I'm looking for great midbass for double kickdrums and a strong midrange for guitars. These will be run IB in my heavily deadened doors. 2 channels from my Sundown 100.4 will power them with the Vifa XT19s taking care of the top end. The 8443 will handle cross-over and EQ duties. ok i need some help decideing between my next setup. i allready have a RE12.1 amp rated at 1200wrms at 1ohm but i've seen bench tests showing close to 1500wrms, i have a 99 grand am and would like to keep the box around 3.5cf net. now my options either 2 10's ported 1 12 ported or 2 12's sealed. in all honesty i would love 2 12 mags sealed but as nick informed me their only come in dvc2 which won't work with my amp, well they will work but i dont think their output will meet my needs. so now that leaves me looking. so far im looking into ssa icons, audioque 2.5, aa arsenal, and re se for dual sub setup and AA havoc, audioque hdc, nightshade, and re sx for single sub setup…
