can some on tell me what the ohm load will be on 3 sa15s? ive used a couple different calculators and @2ohm they say 1.333, and @4ohm 2.7 but i was looking on youtube and some one says there getting like .67??? and what amp would you suggest the bc200 or bc3500? thanks

hey all..... i'm considering a pair of pbx 10's to replace my hpo's (they might be sold)... here's what i got... 500wrms@1ohm (memphis pr500d) about 1ft^3 per sub (depending on subs displacement), with a 3" round port 10 3/4" long (individual chambers..so that's the specs for each side..box already built and in use) about 6" worth of mountin depth....(might be a touch more or less...i'd have to remeasure) so will either of these work in my application? thanks ahead of time... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Alright...now that I have the accuracy/SQ of the system all set (Sealed pair of Magnums), I'd like to find something that really exaggerates the low end....I'm looking for an Fs lower than 26hz with a box requirement that doesn't exceed 4 cubes in a ported alignment...It can take lots of power if need be (up to 2200w) so long as it is a DVC2 woofer....I'm looking for either 2 12's, 1 15, 2 15's, or 1 18 to acheive this...without going over the $350 mark.. Trying to get a really low F3 (low 20's) So far my list is: 2 HC15's 1 HC18 1 Brahma 15 Anyone else have any suggestions??

According to SI's Mag webpage, the current one (Well, most current) is the fourth version. I know about the "Claw" Mag, and the (most) current Mag D2, but what are the other two versions? So how can I tell if I have the fourth generation Mag and not the third? And to the best of my knoledge, the Claw can't be paired with the Mag that's out, and both of them can't be paired with a triple stacked Mag that's coming out. Does the other two versions work with any of these mentioned. Also, Now that the new triple stacked Mag is making it's debut soon, what are we going to call the one that's out now? what could have gone wrong? i dont have a subwoofer yet. i made a thread about that. and will be getting a subwoofer later but for now i just got the SPR 60C, alpine type R components the midbass is like gone. my cheapo stock speakers had slightly more midbass than these... they are powered by a pioneer amp, GM-D8604 what could be wrong? or are components supposed to have barely any bass whatsoever.... its pretty bad. the highs are very clear. a bit too harsh highs but when i set the headunit to EQ the bass up, the bass sounds bad, slight increase in bass, but pretty bad quality bass? i was wondering if some know the power handling of these subs. i've been told that they was 750 watts rms and max 2000 watts and ive also been told that they was 1500 watts rms and 3000 watts max. i tried to call bob at american bass but no answer. also i was trying to find out was wold be a good size box to put these subs in.

I have two Stereo Integrity Magnum D2's and want to port them very badly. I am looking for LSQ about 60/40 SPL to SQ. Ill be giving each sub 800 true watts. This will all be going in the trunk of a 2000 cavalier. The biggest box I can fit in their is 30w x 15h x 16d. I want to tune the box to anywhere from 30 - 35hz if possible. What is the biggest box I will be able to make to those dimentions and what will it be tuned to? Will I have to use round ports or is it possible to use a single slot port. If round will there be any port noise and if so how noticible will it be? I am making box by tommorow so I would appreciate responses as soon as possible. Thanx.

Okay so I took some measurements today just to see how much space I have to work with. The idea is to keep my third row seats. That was the main reason why I brought a suburban instead of a tahoe. So far this is what I've came up with. *Note all measurements are external* Height: 23 3/8 inches or 28 1/2 inches if I go up to top of headrest Width: 49 inches Depth: 28 3/4 inches I went to 12volt.com to use their volume calculator and it came out to roughly 15 cft of internal volume space. im looking for a new sub, and just found out about stereo integrity subs. they seem great and i would probably try one out if it can be put into my subbox. the thing is that its just 0.8 cft big. thats without a driver. would it be terrible to put that 12" sub into this box??? btw: its a sealed box, and it would be powered by a phoenix gold ZPA 0.5 (about 1000+ watts)

ok so i have a rockford fosgate power hx2 in a 4.6cuft ported at 40hz. my saz1500 is on its way to db-r for repair. well i got this sub bnib and the only amp i've had on it is a bazooka 500wrms mono. for like 2 months it was wired at 1ohm.well the amp is only 2 ohm stable and it decided it wasnt gonna except the 1ohm load anymore. so its at 4ohm now which would be around 250wrms. i've read and heard that u can underpower subs but read alot more that that is b.s. well the sub is rated at 300-1000wrms and i've been thinkin bout this alot. well i took my ol' lady to work earlier and im hearing what sounds like sumthing againts the box rattling. my box is mounted where my bac…

i am building a setup for listening only, no competitions or anything, running (2) sa-8 dvc 4's, i was originally thinking of a sundown 1000d, which i felt was enough, but everyone i see with sa-8's is running either a 1200d or 1500d, is it safe to run these larger amps for daily abuse on the subs or is the 1000d going to be enough, thanks for your advice

After getting a damn good accomodation price I am awaiting the arrival of a Kicker ZX1500.1 Details: 2007 Chrysler 300C, Big 3 upgrade, 160 amp alt., room for a 6.5 cf. box. Want: More output then my Q15! Love the Q, just want it louder. I want to purchase a single 15" or 2 12"s for a budget of $500 or less. Ok Im looking on getting my amp for my door speakers.. I only listen to rap and NOTHING else.. I plan on using the Mach 5 Audio MLI-65 They say they are 100 rms at 4 ohm? Now the question is, Cud I wire them up into 2 ohm and just use a two channel amp ran at 2 ohms? Or shud I just buy the four channel amp and run them at 4 ohms? Bought a 2013 jeep wrangler 2 dr a few weeks back, and it definitely needs some audio upgrades. have been looking at components, but still pretty new to them and looking for any advice or guidance on what to look for before I waste my money. Showed off the 302s to a friend who is running an entirely Alpine Type-R setup. He was quite impressed... I believe his exact words were, "Wow, now that is clarity." His Type-R components sound pretty good, don't get me wrong, but they most definatly weren't equal to the 302s -- and he agreed with that no arguments. The Type-R tweeter sounded somewhat shrill in comparison and the midbass capability wasn't anywhere near the 302s. And, of course, since he had no EQ you could sense the mids rolling off in his car, where that wouldn't be happening with the 302 midrange. Steven, I need to track you down sometime you can take a listen -- you might end up wanting a set!

So right now I have an alpine type-r 10" sub in a sealed box. Im planning on buying another alpine type-r, would it sound weird if i put it in a ported box? Or should I just have it match the other sub in a sealed box? So basically, 1 sealed & 1 ported vs 2 sealed whats your input? Thanks
