Subwoofers / Speakers

Anyone have any experience with this company? Im thinking of running these in the dash--> http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_5136_C...gns+CD78MT.html and these in the front doors http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_5599_C...ns+QX6500C.html all off sax-100.4. Any opinions?

First off let me say that I love the look of the old SI Magnum especially the Claw basket. The new SI D2 looks ok, but besides looks is there big differences in the models? The new one looks to have less cone area (maybe more similar to a 10" cone and a huge surround.) I'm sure there is a thread describing the newer driver, but how about a comparison? Advantages? Disadvantages? General differences? PS.. The 8"s never materialized .. any future plans for those, or 10"s?? The Hammer

Ok guys, I need help deciding if I should get either an eclipse TI 12" or a crystal cmpx2(if I can even find one). Both will be sealed, probably be running off and orion 1200D, and inside a reg cab truck. opinions plz.

I'm been looking for a 1 15" sub dvc 4 ohms that require a small ported box. My ported box is well constructed and I don't want it to throw it away. Is a 2.89cu.ft .75 Birch slot ported. I only have 400w rms for it. Any suggestions?

well, haven't been around for a bit so I'd thought i'd drop by and say hello. Been busy with my new job cause working in a car audio place sucks....only the owner makes the money. But just to let you on some new products, CDT has offered the 2in driver in the HD line. Uses a different coating on the cone than the ES. ES is more a delicate driver than the HD one. Its a little beast though. little over an 1in deep, should be fun in the car though. Careful on the crossover points though, from the little use I've used in a temp pod I think I like it at 1k hz and up. I'll be using it as my main tweeter with the drt-26 as my image one. I need to build a new box for my SPL 15 due to getting a new vehicle (2005 Jeep Liberty). I'm thinking of going 3 cubic feet NET tuned to 38hz or so with 58 square inches of port area. Will this work out ok or do I need more air space? This will be a daily set up and likely won't be used to compete so I want something that is loud and decent sounding. Power wise I will be using a RF T30001bd @ 4ohm. I was previously using a 4.2 cubic foot box tuned to 32hz and it was quite good sounding but lacking in volume. I figured this time I would tune higher and try a smaller box to save some space.

im rebuilding my whole setup in my 86 camaro the only thing im keeping is the Kenwood Excelon KDC-X891 deck. what would be 2 good 12's and amp 4 the hatch. i want something that hits very hard but still has great sq right now i got 2 re audio re12's in a bandpass box running off a sony 1000w amp and i want louder. i think about $1000 will be my limit 4 both subs and amp.

Couple days ago i purchased two bl 12's fully loaded. I also bought a aq2200d. Are these a good match. Would giving 1100watts rms to each sub be okay? Just if you guys wanted to no i have a 2010 altima, big 3, xs d1200 in the front, and my voltage does not drop below 13.5 when the subs are on. The box design is from tech support on this site. 3.2cuft tuned to 30hz. According to the site the bl's need to be in a box between 1.5-2.5 cuft, so im good on that. I currently have one bl12 on a sundown 1200d yea it blew out, never going back to the shop again. NOw for my second build i no what im doing. So anyway will giving 1100wrms to each bl be fine?

well, being who I am (very inquisitive by nature) I constantly find myself loomking at audio equipment, and as such, I always wonder to myself, hey that would be neat to have etc... So, I keep looking at 15 inch subs lately for some reason, and more specifically, at the RE SEX15D4, has anyone on here have experience with it? I just may, and a big "may" be able to convince the wife to let me buy one..... maybe... It'll be powered by a JBL GTO 601.1 amp. Hi all, Some of you may be following my build log. Well my dad is seeing my progress and he's getting jealous. He drives a 1986 Mercedes 300SDL. He's the person who got me into audio in the first place. He as an incredible-sounding system in his car, with the exception of bass. He only has 4" MB Quart speakers installed, running on a PPI amp and a super high-end Nakamichi head unit... the one that's all metal. The detail I hear in his system is just incredible. He hates loud bass, but he most definitely could use some improvements in the low frequency range. Hi, I had a question on whether I should have 2 FIBl 15s or one single bl15. I would be powering them with a Hifonics Bre1700. If I had a single bl It would get 1700rms. Would it be any louder with two bls but with 850rms each? The box is roughly 4 cubic feet. Any help is welcome.

I have a 98 Dodge Ram ext cab and I'm wondering which of the two mentioned subs would be better for me. Ill be pushing them with an Exile 2400.1 I listen to lot of rap and chopped n screwed music. I'm Currently doing a rebuild for 2015 and I'm looking into upgrading my front stage to a 3 Way component set and just wondering if anyone would have any recommendations around the $500-700 maybe a little more if its well worth it so far my 2 choices are the CDT Audio HD-642 and the Hertz HSK 163 Hi Energy Line. so i am getting a $400 loan from a friend an i want to get TWO not one but TWO 18's what is the absolute best i could possibly get for that? i am like, OCD and i cant stand having a lonely woofer so it has to be a pair...=| please help. i am itching to break things with pure sound!!

I am thinking about getting an AA Mayhem 15 or an AA Havoc 18. I am kinda leaning towards the Havoc but idk if my amp will be too powerful for it. Hifonics BRZ2400.1D 2400W at 1 ohm; 1700W at 2 ohms. Will either of these be too much power for the sub? If either of these numbers are good for the havoc for daily use, I think I will get the Havoc. But, if not, Mayhem it is.

Just got this installed today after i got it in the mail..i didnt realize how big and sexy this thing was. But anyway, i got blown 6x9's and mediocre fusion 6.5 components in the front and i dont want to be wasting this amp. Anybody got suggestions for speakers that would match well with this amp? Somewhere around $250 for components and $150 for rear fill. Ive thought about some lower end focals, type X pro, Infinite perfects, or maybe try the re xxx's. Thx

HELP please WHich would be the best for the rear of my rsx...i want something that is clean sounding, has nice mid range presence (spl) and will give me crisp, accurate highs. I am currently looking at cyrstal csx615, infinity kappa 652,5i, polks db675, and image dynamics ctx6. I have cdt classic comps in front with silk tweets. can some on tell me what the ohm load will be on 3 sa15s? ive used a couple different calculators and @2ohm they say 1.333, and @4ohm 2.7 but i was looking on youtube and some one says there getting like .67??? and what amp would you suggest the bc200 or bc3500? thanks

So I havent been on in awhile due to work and my amp being muffed up(my fault I think). I will be sending my amp into Sundown this week and while I am waiting to hear back about it I wanted to look into some component sets and I have found myself asking a couple of questions. Right now I have 2 pair of coaxial speakers, both being 6.5. I want to step it up into the big boy world and get a 2 way set to try out. My questions are will I be able to power them with just the head unit or should I look into getting a 2 channel amp? My head unit is the Alpine CDA-9883. Also I didnt know if I would be even better off keeping one set of coaxial speakers and just get two 6.5 mid bas…
