Incriminator Audio

Here is a little system I hooked up for a friend of mine.. 1965 VW Beetle Kenwood Excelon KDC-X692 2 Kenwood 6.5" 3-way coaxials in custom kick panels (forgot to take pics) 2 tweeters (already installed, sounded ok so I left em) 10" Incriminator Audio 187 in 2 cubes @ 35 hz (custom VW logo in plexi window) Hifonics BX1500d @ 2 ohms Future upgraded battery, and hopefully an alternator conversion I think it turned out very nice. Hits the lows in rap songs very well, and also hits all the bass drum kicks perfectly. I played the live acoustic version of Hotel California in it, and was very impressed with both the midrange and the bass kicks in that song.......so anyway, here …

Well, I think I have ample time into this sub now, and I've been promising this review, so here it goes. First off, car and other equipment. Car is a Dodge Neon ES, headunit is a Sony GT330, front speakers are Powerbass 2xl-6.5's powered off the h/u, the sub is powered off of a Kicker KX400.1 at 2 ohm in 2.0 net sealed. Crossed at 90 hertz @ 12db per octave (only to help the coax's until I can amp them). Pics are in the other thread, for those interested. First thing I noticed listening to this sub is it's louder than my old Comp, which it should be, I'm giving it over 2x the power. Second thing I noticed is it really likes lower material, like sub-40 hertz region. …

Because of popular demand for a BIG woofer like the DP 21 and still be in a decent price range, we are going to release the DR 21 - Dual 1 or Dual 2 ohm coils. YAY!

Well, I did it, talked to IA earlier about it, and I pulled the trigger, 187 15", going into the Neon to replace an old single 8 ohm Kicker Comp. Review and pics when it shows up. Kef

So we had a USACi crank it up at the shop on sat. And just for chits n giggles i hooked up the IA DR18 to at PDX1000. The DR18 in question actually has a blown coil and the recones came in today so i'll be reconing it soon. I just wanted to see what it could do with that 1 coil on the TL mic under the dash, managed a 145.9. I was pleased. And thats with no battery in the back. Amp went into protection half way thru the run. So once i put a battery in the back and get the woofer reconed then we'll see what these beasts are really capable of. edit: This was in my honda fit btw. I don't know the specs on the box. Here's a few pictures of two 187 12's under the back seat of a 2006 Fored F-150 powered by a Rockford 500.1BD. It was one of the loudest installs I have heard under the back seat of a pick up.

im gonna be picking up a pair of the 187 10's to mess aroudn with and i was wonder what size box they like? and tuned to what. i was gonna try like tunning low 30's like i always do.

Found out today the 21's bang. My shop is in the middle of 140 acres. My prperty line is literarly one third of a mile 360 degrees around my shop. (By they way I am the only authorized Louisiana dealer for IA). But I guess someone was disturbed. I already had the back seats out of my crewmax tundra making molds for a fiberglass enclosure so I figured I would test out a 21. It is in a 10 cubic foot enclosure, 160 inches of port tuned to 34 hz, with 2000 watts on it. I have not metered it yet, was actually setting the mic when the cop drove up. But it is louder than a Kicker solox 18. And I am not bias because I am also an autthorized Kicker dealer as well. I will g…

Well, first the specs---2-15" D4 Lethal Injections in 3.5 cubes per sub (7total) tuned to 35Hz powered by a Sundown SAZ-1500D. They are tuned a little higher than I initially wanted due to needing the box below window line. I also needed room for my kids(4) to put their stuff when they come over and stay the night at my house. My previous setup was 2 JL 12w6v2's in 2.25 cubes per tuned to 32Hz powered by JL100/1. My first impression of the subs when delivered was that they were beefier than I expected. I've never owned 15's before and didn't know what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised. Ive been looking into buying a new sub, and have been looking into the IA death row 15., but have not seen much on them. Has anyone heard them or know where i can find a review etc? I have 1200wrms to work with, not to particular about SQ, but it will be a daily driver setup. I guess i just want to know what people think of them and any input would be appreciated. thanks

How would a IA DP 12" sub do in a box that is 2.742 cubes ported to 40??

I was wondering if you guys though a DP21 would be logical for a daily sub for all types of music. I'm thinking either that or maybe 2 DP12s I'm not sure yet. I'd like to get REDICULOUSLY loud, like 150s + where i don't want to be in the car. But also be able to turn down the sub and use it for regular music too. what u guys think?

Been eyeing the new LIs for a while now and am trying to figure if i can make it work. Looking at getting 2 10s and running them ported. What is the ideal enclosure size for running 2 10s? Thanks.
