Nick- Do you know of any shops in the DC/Maryland/Virginia area that can repair a 20.1 amp? I would prefer to send it to you as no one knows them better than you. I sent you a few emails but just in case you didn't get them can you reply back to brandon.nicholson(at)dot(dot)gov. I'm not for sure what happened this time. It looks as if the power supply may have went out again as the same pieces on the outside edge are burnt. Before I installed the amp this time I had all the wiring re-done professionally. I'm dying without my baby lol. Bass is my Anti-Drug lol. I just received my tax check so repair money is sitting and waiting. Thanks

Ok guys, give me the details on your 40.1 amps. Let's say someone wanted to build an Extreme 2 car with the goal of being the world's loudest car. I assume they are able to be bridged in pairs, correct? If so, at what impedances have you ran them at under these conditions? What voltage do you recommend? Also, give me alot of technical babble about impedance, voltage, current, heat in coils, control over the coil/cone, etc. How would 8 of the 40.1's compare to something like 4 of the JBL/Crown amps (specifically, with the JBL's driving 4 ohm loads)? How about 8 of the 40.1's compared to 4 Hifonics XXV Sampsons? I'm looking for comparisons of current draw, SPL capab…

how loud will 2 dp 21's be with about 4000watts in the trunk of a car and it is a huge trunk so box size will not be a problem

i checked on their website and i didnt see any specs on the dp other than power handling and sub displacement and stuff like that. does anybody have any other specs on the sub?

1) do I have to connect the 2 inputs like in the diagram, or can I just use one ? 2) I am assuming the 2 speaker outputs are in parallel, so connecting a 2 ohm load to each set will result in a 1 ohm load to the amp .... ??

Can't seem to find any info on what people are finding to be optimal for the new DP 15's. I will be running one off of 1500 W and listening to mostly rap. Figuring 4 cubes after all displacements tuned to 32 hz. How much port area should I use? (3) 4" aeros (2) 6" aeros (1) 50 sq. inch normal slot port Thanks for any insite.

What are we looking at for airspace on the 21's. I am kinda tossed between the DP 18 and 21. It really is gonna come down to space.

Ive decided to go with an IA Lethal Injection sub for my first setup but cant decide whether to go with the 12" or 15" version. Either one will go into a properly built and designed enclosure and be receiving the same amount of power. I drive a small mid-80's hatchback. My question is what are the differences between the 12" and 15" version of the lethal injection subwoofer besides cone area? Does one hit harder or get louder than the other? What would you guys recommend? I listen to rap, techno, dubstep, rock, and some country.

I know that they have upgraded the Death Penalty line subwoofers but I do not have the money or power to run them, so I was wondering if they changed or upgraded the Lethal Injections, and if they did what are the specs and how much do the 15's run? What type of upgrades were made etc. I tried to contact IA by phone, they have not answered, and by e-mail, they have not replied. If anyone has any information about these let me know. I know that the last model Lethal Injection subs were very good for the midline subs and I assumed that if they upgraded the DP line they might have also upgraded the LI line, if so I am highly considering them, I was considering them anyway, b…

I know that alot of people on these forums are strangers to each other. All of us at IA have made a great deal of friends through our car audio ventures and met some really great people. Many of you may or may not know Terry and Miranda Jackson, but they are really great people and good friends of mine. Terry used to work for RE and competed for many years and Miranda also competed for a few years as well. Today they found that Miranda has been diagnosed with Stage II Mediastinal Large Cell Lymphoma. This is cancer on her heart. Hi guys. I have the above amp and have blown the power supply. The problem is we need to rebuild the power supply but because it blew pretty badly, I cant identify the values so just wondered if any one could help me out with a diagram or a nice detailed close up picture of the power suppy side so I can repair it. I have looked hard on the net but cant find one. I really want to save the amp and not have to buy another one so if any one can help, then please do. Also, Im located in the UK so there is no chance of me sending it back to the US for repair as I can get it done here or I would have if I lived in the US. Thanx

Fisher has plans for a 4^3ft. box @35hz 62.5sq.in. port and a 4.5^3ft. box @33hz 52.5sq.in. port. The smaller box is shorter and deeper with subs front, vent front. The larger is taller and more narrow with subs top, vertical vent front. Which would be better for my Lethal Injections (dual 12)? For everyday listening, no comp. Rock, pop, Limp Bizkit, Eminem & Kid rock are as close to rap as it gets.

Here is a few vids of my Impala walled with 2 18's powered by a single IA 40.1. stock alt, 3 runs of pos, 3 runs of neg, 2 C&D 134 AH batts DC Power alt should be here in the next week or so 13 cube wall with 175 sq inches of port tuned to ??32-34 hz lol. not real sure on the tuning cause i wasn't real sure on the exact size of the wall....it hits the lows hard though

So my friend Roger decided to throw his LI 15 dual 4 in 3.0 tuned to 30 and his APSM-1500 @ 2 ohm into our friend Kyle's 2001 Mountaineer for giggles, and asked me to put it on the SPL Labs. Results were not shabby: 134.10 on Air Forces 134.66 on a 43hz tone This was with stock alt, battery, and a shitty Walmart wire kit. Just wanted to share the results. Not bad for a amp/sub/box that's less than 400 bucks

So we had a USACi crank it up at the shop on sat. And just for chits n giggles i hooked up the IA DR18 to at PDX1000. The DR18 in question actually has a blown coil and the recones came in today so i'll be reconing it soon. I just wanted to see what it could do with that 1 coil on the TL mic under the dash, managed a 145.9. I was pleased. And thats with no battery in the back. Amp went into protection half way thru the run. So once i put a battery in the back and get the woofer reconed then we'll see what these beasts are really capable of. edit: This was in my honda fit btw. I don't know the specs on the box.
