Hello IA i just acquired an IA death Row motor from a guy on another forum. im looking to get a 12" re-cone and a basket. i have done re-cones before one to many times. if you could please pm me some info. i tried calling you guys direct but got just an answering machine. thanks -Don oh and also can one take ~1500 in 2.5 ft^3?

Hey all. I am quite new to the world of car audio and its already completely addicting. I found my way to this forum/site thanks to the guys at caraudio. They recommended a 187 series Sub. I plan on ordering a 10 or 12 incher for my new system. I'm running a 5350A Reference amp from infinity. I have 300RMS at 2ohms. Can anyone suggest which would be better, a 10 or 12? Thank you very much. The reason im getting a 187 is i only have around 100 bucks to spend. I just want to make sure, that I have enough power for the sub. Hello. Right now I have just 1 12" lethal injection and I love it, but I want to upgrade to something even better. I'm planning on making a fiberglass enclosure for either 2 12" death penalties or 2 15" death penalties. I don't think I will be able to fit 18"s, but I haven't calculated my total volume yet either. How do the 12"s and 15"s compare? Is it worth the extra volume? 18"s? Any suggestions? Thanks.

Well I just got my recones an baskets today for my soon to be DP 21's. This will be my first time doing a recone and I'm very eager to do it but a couple things I need help on. I emailed nick but I didn't know with him being at the CES deal if he would get back to me before next week. My first question is there are 6 little black plastic deals that I am not sure what I do with them? the are like hard plastic tubes. about a 1/4" long maybe shorter. My second question is what do I use for a tool to gap the voice coil when I put the recone into the basket? I have heard that some companies say to use manila envelopes but I wasn't sure how thick they should be. Thanks for…

Hey all, first post here. I went to a local comp. today and got to meet Nick and Josh. 2 finer people you'll never meet. They put up with my questions, even looked in my trunk for me since I am clueless about boxes, airspace, and all. I have decided on an IA20.1 @ 2 ohms on 2 12" LI's in my 07 stang as soon as funds allow. Thanx again fellers for all the help and I'll be glad to keep my $$$ local with the likes of yall. So if anyone wonders what kind of people run IA let me say from first hand experience they are a great bunch.

Guy wants me to build him a box but if i build the one he really wants, he'll never get it in the trunk. So is 3.75^3@35 htz with 3 4" Aero's too small for a pair of 12" LI's to do well in?

I took some dimensions of my trunk and figured out some dimensions for a box that would be roughly 5.2 cubes when done, not including displacement from woofers, or port. I just have some questions about the actual port. Does the port volume also contribute to the overall volume of the box? Is it better to have a wider port or a taller port, assuming im using a slot port? The specs on the forum say i should have 20 to 30 inches of port, but if i make the port 2" by 15" tuned to 32hz it says i only need a total of 11", so how should i make the port? The dimensions that i have figured out for the box are 30 x 15 x 25 (width x height x depth) for a total of 5.2 cubes, excludi…

what does everyone think about running 3 vlx400s on 6 15 inch incriminator death penaltys. clam shelled in a suburban ext. use all 3 amps or only 2? any other ideas...im starting from scratch. i askd on the us amp forum and theyre dead over there

So we had a USACi crank it up at the shop on sat. And just for chits n giggles i hooked up the IA DR18 to at PDX1000. The DR18 in question actually has a blown coil and the recones came in today so i'll be reconing it soon. I just wanted to see what it could do with that 1 coil on the TL mic under the dash, managed a 145.9. I was pleased. And thats with no battery in the back. Amp went into protection half way thru the run. So once i put a battery in the back and get the woofer reconed then we'll see what these beasts are really capable of. edit: This was in my honda fit btw. I don't know the specs on the box.
