Hey guys, Anything new going on? Had free minute at lunch and thought I'd see what was cooking at SSA land?

I don't think its blown because it doesn't do anything at all no noise. I checked my amp with my other subs and it works fine..I was only putting ~1200 rms to it so I don't see how anything could have went wrong.. I had my 2 ohm sub wired down to 1 ohm on the amp.

I wouldn't mind buying a decal that goes across top of my windshield if someone had any or some cool ones.

I got 2 21" death penalty subs. Anybody got any recommended 4th order box designs. I got 24 cu ft to work with. I was thinking of doing each sub in 2.5 to 3 sealed and 9 ported. And tuning the ported section to around 50 to 55. Let me know if you got any other ideas. I am looking for some better Spl numbers on music. Dont need it to play much under 30hz. Most stuff I listen too is around 35 or higher.

I am planning on buying an 18" IA Death Penalty and putting it in a box I made that is: 45" width 15" depth 25" height 6" port tuned at 29hz Throwing a ZX1000.1 amp on it until I upgrade to a different one. What you all think? its in the back of a toyota corolla 97' tore my back seat out for my old build and decided it was time to get my first 18" sub.

Went to a local competition this weekend and have a few issues with the subs. First off they are in a 12 cubic foot wall with 210 sq inches of port for burps. Amps hooked to them were 2 AQ 3500s strapped at .5 ohm rising to 1.9ohm clamped at 6500, I went to burp at the show and did a 54.8 my first burp and a 55 my second burp. Decided to test door open about 10 minutes later burped for 3 seconds and did a 58. Went to try in the passenger kick panel door open and they started making a funny sound. Checked the impedence at the amps and its 1 ohm when it was .5 ohm a little bit earlier. Do you think I unwound a coil? The sub sounds funny so I unhooked the amps, but won't hav…

I know this is a dumb question, ive never claimed to be smart. When it comes to subs ive always been a pay and play kinda guy. I want to learn more about car audio and how to do all of it. So ive recently started building sealed boxes. The three ive built turned out really good in my opinion. The problem I have now is, im building a box for myself and i want to port it. I have 2 LI 12's. Any advice anyone could or would give is greatly appreciated. The specs for an LI 12 is on average 2.00 cubes, 30 inches of port and tuned to 28-35. My question is, for 2, do i build the box at 4.00, 60 inches of port and tuned to 56-70 Ive never built a box to spec, but i want these to b…

I had a li15 awhile ago but I think I clipped it or something but it started smoking and just shat on me. Would I just need a recone for it work again?

I'm having a box built by Fisher Customs 2.5 cubes tuned to 32hz! My plans were to get the DR 12 but I found some extra pennies and can step-up to a DP 12. Should I take the step-up? Will order Friday AM.

I just bought a used 21" warden from Mr. Bojangles. He's got 1 left still. I'm going to need help designing a box. I have an 03 trailblazer lt that its going in. I just ordered 2 15" Lethal Injections for my 2010 Lincoln MKS. I've got the 14 speaker THX sound system in it currently and I just went out today and got quotes for all new full range speakers and amps for it. The stock THX sounds really good but it's just not loud enough for what I'm used to. It was a REALLY tough call between the LIs and the Flatlynes, but after reading some reviews and feedback from other members I'm just not sure that the Flatlynes will have the kind of output I'm looking for.
