I have an amp mounted in a way to where it is 100% in direct sunlight and there literally is no other place i can mount the amp due to space issues. It is about 2" away from the hatchback glass. The back hatch is layered in a sheet of tint and then another layer of blue tint for a graphical image then a clear coat sheet is layed over that. Is it ok, practical, doable, only way u may know of to take a sheet of heatwave or the Pro and stick it onto the tint to prevent the amp from getting excessively hot? So I am doing a completely new door setup. The inner skin to which the speaker is normally mounted to will be cut out. I am basically going to fiberglass a completely new door panel that will act as a sealed pod that will bolt on to the sides of the door. My question is how do I go about deadening this since the speakers will be housed in their own fiberglass enclosure? This was my approach. Let me know what you think. I was going to deaden the actual steel door with a layer of damplifier then glue a layer of luxury liner ontop of that. I would then bolt in the fiberglassed pod. Inside the pod I would glue on a layer of overkill. Does that sound about right? I want some …

Thinking of starting a long process of putting a system in my 07' Altima. I was wondering how much deadener would I need to put one layer in the cabin of the car (floor board, 4 doors and trunk)? Gonna start puttting away some money for this before I even begin putting speakers and such. Thanks!!!

I have an 07 Yaris Hatchback and I am most likely going to put a 10" sub in the back. I am thinking 10w7, but maybe a w6 or something slightly less expensive. How should I deaden my hatch, if at all? Could someone shade the pic where I should put deadning material? I know ideally I would do it all over, but I'm trying to limit how much of my car gets torn apart The front doors will already be deadened.
