I was wondering where to get my protein for our here on my deployment back in June. I contacted TrueProtein.com and got some great deals. Guys all I ask is you check them out. Their prices are VERY competitive and unlike alot of the 'big box' supplement makers, when you order 5 lbs of Protein with Chocolate flavor, you get 5 lbs of protein, THEN they add in the cholcolate flavor. This give your more protein for your dollar. Use Discount code JNR490 to save 5% off your entire order and 10% if you order over 16 lbs. Again all I ask is you check it out. The site may not be 'flashy as hell' but in the world of fitness when did shiny become a requirement? J

I am educated to teach you how to be more active and take the smartest and safest path to a healthy lifestyle. I am not a psychologist, medical doctor, or dietician. I can help inspire you, but I cannot cure you. I can give you a foundation, but I cannot make you happier, thinner, or perfect. I can educate you, but I cannot do the work for you. I can challenge you and encourage you, but I cannot prevent natural bumps along the road. I can help you through the process, but I cannot gurantee that it will make it any easier. I can believe in you, but you have to believe in yourself. I can hope you become active for the rest of your life, but only you can make the choice to …

So I wanna hear what your favorite supplement you have EVER taken was/is. It doesn't matter what type of supplement it was, just your personal favorite. My favorite was BSN no-xplode. It gave me a great energy boost and kept me upbeat during my workout. I did also take NANO Vapor which was ridiculous from my experience. It gave me a huge boost, the downside was it made me sh*t my brains out...haha.

  7. This is the first video of my new vlog series. My wife was just diagnosed with cardio myopathy. Basically, I am starting to a vlog as a motivational tool for myself to get healthy and get her healthy. We are both overweight and she is a little over 6 months pregnant. I will be doing weekly(if not more frequently) videos to document my progress with diet and exercise, as well as other health issue share how she and the baby are doing. This first video just gives a little insight and backstory and annouces what I will be doing. As soon as my son is born, my wife plans on joining me in exercise(once cleared from cardiologist). She has given up caffeine and is on a pretty ri…

  8. Decided I wanted to burn off a little fat I gained from Freshman year. Started debating if the supplements or my diet was causing me to see a lack of results. Old routine (6 months, from 180 to 160): -Emerge Pre-workout + appetite suppressor -Take Five Slow Release Protein (Workout) -Whey -Breakfast without carbs (The last month of this routine, I began replacing a meal a day with fruit/vegetable juice. Dropped ~5 lbs in that month.) Began more weightlifting, instead of mostly cardio and core, and switched up my routine. I have definitely continued to gain muscle, but it doesn't seem that I'm converting the fat, just that I'm putting muscle under it, mostly around t…

So I'm choosing to change my life for the better. I am 5 10" and weigh 478 LBS. I am currently 23 years old and in school and unemployed. I recently went for a job interview in which my buddy had the job for me as long as the interview went well. A few days after the interview he told me that I had a perfect interview, but they didn't feel comfortable hiring me due to my weight. I obviously know that I am overweight but this was a major wake up call. I have now decided that it is time to get my shit in gear and get healthy. I'm just wondering if anyone that has ever been near the weight I'm at has any advice. Love the community here and will definitely keep you guys poste…

  11. I am definitly not in shape. As of this morning I am: Age: 17 Weight: 250 Height: 5'10" For starters, I just joined a gym, planet fitness. Was 99$ Cash for 12 months. I know it's not the greatest gym but I feel I'm heading in the right direction. As far as physical fitness goes, I am way out of shape, I get winded very quickly. As of tomorrow, I am cutting fast food, for good. I am also cutting soft drinks, and one of my favorites, sweet tea. My concern is, I have no idea where to start in terms of working out at the gym. My priorities are to lose weight, and gain strength. My overall goal weight wise based on my current information is 170. But for now I will realistica…

I've known about it since Jan. February-weight 240lbs-20%bf -Was trying to eat every 3 hours -had all my food in Tupperware hauling it around with me. -I worked out heavy weights 3 days a week ending with 30-45min cardio -I did lose maybe 2lbs for the whole month, but nothing noticeable March-weight 238lbs -Ran across the Hodge twins on you tube (hilarious vids btw) -I began skipping breakfast and lunch(eating 1 big meal , protein shake, and maybe some leftovers)-sleep repeat -1 hydroxy cut pill at wo…

Alright, starting Tuesday I will be starting a 3 month workout program at school. With that I want to achieve maximum results by putting myself on a good diet. I guess I should start by stating my goals. I am 6'2" tall weighing in currently at 215 lbs. I'm really looking to get down to an ideal weight of 190-195 lbs. I don't plan to lose all that weight in 3 months. If it takes longer that is fine as I am hoping to continue with my own workout program come this summer, it is just a total goal in site. Most my spare weight comes in my belly (80%). In this 3 month period I'm also looking to gain some muscle mostly in my upper body region. I have a broad shoulder build and n…

Keeping myself honest by setting this up here. I need to drop a lot of weight. I am flirting with 400 lbs currently and only 6’2. For the first time in my adult life my weight is putting a strain on my day to day life. Up untill recently my lungs heart and muscles have been able to make my weight seem trivial. I even had a recent stress test where they had me pedal and took movies of my heart and measurements after 2 shots of adrenalin and I got 2 thumbs up from the cardiologist. I didn’t feel so great though, but the docs chalked it up to indigestion. The other day though I was going up a few floors of stairs and I was honestly winded. I’ve never really had that …

I just wanted to combine some posts of Chevy350TPI into one consilidated topic. Most of this information was found in the "New Workout, New Diet" thread but I figure it may not be found by the typical browser and it is very good information about creatine that should not be overlooked. Creatine The phosphagen system provides ATP. In the muscle, ATP is found near the myosin filament heads so it is readily available for the sliding filament theory cross-bridge step. Powerful and quick movement demands are taken care of by the phosphagen system. When you exercise, you do not deplete ATP in proportion to the requirement for that ATP - ATP hydrolysis produces ADP, inorgan…

Well, Mrs. Chainsaw and I have decided to undertake a drastic change in lifestyle. She had a serious wake up call when the doctor told her she had high blood pressure. Here is what we are doing: -We went online and used a Weight loss calculator to plot out our daily calorie intake. -We have cut out fast food and things like fried food( no junk) -She has switched to diet coke(I drink cokes sparingly, but when I do its only diet) -We are keeping a journal of our daily calorie intake and exercise( we are both very busy right now, so not much time for it) -We are saving for a new treadmill or to repair our current one( we live in a bad neighborhood, so walking at night is out…

We have done a little shopping, but are still in the what should we get for our lifestyle questioning portion. First and foremost, her goals are to keep off a little flab and have a way of staying in cardio shape. My goals are to be healthy. I don't care about muscle mass, fat, strength or anything other than being healthy (I realize I have to care about those to be healthy, but I am not in this for anyone else just myself--sort of like my stereo, it is for me ). We are looking at both some Cardio and Weight training to try and do this in a well rounded way. Cardio: Basically, she used to run cross country and this started out as a quest to buy a treadmill.
