Audioque hdc3 woofers?
2 pointsWhen you have a business, and a customer is brought into "the business environment" you want them to feel as comfortable as possible. You want the person to be comfortable. I like the site a lot, having an experience with someone I feel is having an attitude towards me leaves me feeling uncomfortable. When being left feeling uncomfortable, one doesn't always feel that they will come to back to give business or support to the business, in this case a forum. The site has a store and also has several advertisements for other sites, but we all know that. The the thing is, when a "respected" member behind the team comes out with an attitude... I get the same impression if an ass on a used car lot comes out trying to screw me, I'm not giving that place my business. Its the same concept here, so one member can reflect the whole site(which I do love). I myself apologize if I did anything "wrong ", I ask what I did in order to learn from my mistake but am still left with unclear answers. Mentioning I need to "listen", and "learn"... not telling me really anything, I didn't do nothing bad as far as I know ( if questioning someone is bad, I guess I deserved a ban then). I like this site, I do listen to the advice of others, and learn from it as well. I think you are blurring the lines between the different entities of SSA, which is very easy to do. But the SSA forum is not the business, if we charged for membership, then it would be a different story. The SSA forum is a privately owned forum, that is linked to the SSA Store, but the SSA forum is not a business. Sean (///M5) is not an employee of the SSA Store or brand, nor is he even a customer, he is a member of the staff of the SSA forum which is not paid. He is apart of the staff due to his high level of knowledge and experience in relation to audio. The only people on this forum that represent SSA the company / store / brand, are Mark (ssaudio) and me. This should be evident by who over see's the SSA Store forum section and the SSA speaker brand forum section. There are brands on here that the SSA Store does not sell, and every staff member outside the two owners, do not represent the company / store / brand. Heck, the SSA forum staff all pretty much buy their products from places like Madisound or PE, not the SSA store. Now if they (SSA forum staff) were employees of SSA the brand / Store / company, then this place will be no longer be an unbiased resource of source of information on audio. There are plenty of product pushing forums out there, SSA has integrity and is not one of them. I hope that clears up any confusion you might have had.2 points

RD Alpha v2 15 vs. new RE XXX 15
2 pointsI guess we thought it was rather common knowledge how often their stuff fails. Look up any release where they allowed people to buy ahead of time and see the results. Read the thread with the complaints and realize that not only are the complaints customer service related, but also based on the fact that the product failed miserably. Then realize that they don't design jack and just re-badge some design, bid it out to a ultra low cost chinese build house and then claim quality. Internet shady and shitty products altogether. I agree that everyone went off on dealing with the company and not directly the product, but there is no separation in my mind. If you have shady service, 9 out of 10 times it is because you have a shady product. At least this holds true for internet companies. Perhaps exceptions, but not so many...2 points

What sub
2 pointsI own two of the subwoofers on your list, the T3 Audio TSNS 15 and the Nigthshade 12. I had 2 Massive Audio p1500 on the Nigthshade daily and the sub did fine. Now as for the TSNS 15 NO COMMENT. My son is using the Nigthshade now with one Audiopipe 3000 for powwer and I think the sub is laughing at him. P.S. make sure you give lots of information when you start a topic/post, it will help us to understand your questions or goals better. Good luck and welcome to the forum.2 points

Looking to buy a AX-5600.
1 pointIf they sell it to you below MAP pricing, then the product will not carry a warranty.1 point

Audioque hdc3 woofers?
1 pointI will give the mods and owners of SSA the credit that is due. I have never (read not once, ever) seen them try to pump their product to the masses like all the others. In fact quite the opposite. I have seen them on many occasions recommend a different brand if that was the best solution. Who else would do that? I know the answer. I have never seen another brand say you are a brand X buyer and our sub is not the solution to your goal. That is FACT! None of these guys are fan boys and that is one reason I will never run another brand.1 point

Audioque hdc3 woofers?
1 pointI'm glad Sean was hard on my when I joined, you learn so much more if you just stop typing verbal diarrhea and read, invest your time in reading here, and here. There is a welth of knowledge on this forum, and you don;t need to talk to anyone or ask questions to find it. Read first, try to understand the concepts, then ask questions.1 point

Level 4 XL 10/12
1 pointThey handle up to 1500 watts, just because the power handling says 1500 watts doesn't mean you have to power it all that way.1 point

1 pointLook in the mirror. You ignored our rules which you agreed to when you joined, when this was brought up you had the gall to have an attitude and disagree with the rules you agreed to. This is the second account you have managed to tarnish doing the exact same things. It would be really easy for you if you re-read the three threads in my signature and follow the rules. You'd be amazed what will happen. At that point the attitude that you refer to me having won't show up as it is always instigated by negligence in the post from others. Oh and for the record, I have absolutely nothing against you. You have the power to change my responses, all it requires is a logical question and you'll get logical answers.1 point

What sub
1 pointYou can check prices on the Sundown Nightshade and Icriminator Audio Warden in the SSA store. As far as going to 3K watts, you do realize that your budget will be going up to cover upgrading your electrical!1 point

What sub
1 pointWhy 3kW? Sounds to me like you are doing everything for all the wrong reasons. Perhaps a goal and overall budget would help us direct you better.1 point

RD Alpha v2 15 vs. new RE XXX 15
1 pointThis applies with anything you want to buy worth any value. You seek what other people say, would you buy car worth 30 grand that will only last 100,000 miles and will need constant maintenance? or would you buy a quality car that could last double that with minimal upkeep? RD is very very shady. Personally customer service for me is 90% of the appeal to me 10% of the product. If something breaks (and its inevitable) I want to be able to have a quick response and be able to get things repaired in a timely manner. He wasn't speaking on customer service, he was speaking on performance. Based on the mix and match parts for some of the drivers, entire amp model failure, recalled amps, and drastically over ratted amp model and high failure rate of another, I think that is more then enough to speak on their product performance.1 point

RD Alpha v2 15 vs. new RE XXX 15
1 pointRD is great quality ? Based on the business practices of RD, rd and ssa shouldn't be in the same phrase. "oh, we're going to call back all the amps and you have to take a hit because of our fuck-up" I replied before I saw your post, but yeah that is horrible. At this point, I just feel sorry for the people who are either too blind or are just clueless and still think it is a good idea to buy their products.1 point

RD Alpha v2 15 vs. new RE XXX 15
1 pointI appreciate your input, but please try not to associate or compare our products with theirs. That company has screwed and burned countless customers, while Mark and I bust our butts, 7 days a week on constantly making SSA better. And because we don't like to our customers or push product on people, or have hype or fan boys, we don't sell near the numbers of that company. Quite shameful, that this industry breeds "brands" that thrive on filling gullible or inexperienced minds full of lies and BS to push their product. I don't want to be be remotely compared to, or even in the same sentence with another "brand" that has done the horrible things RD has, such as selling broken, faulty or fried products as new.1 point

mounting an amp sideways-yes or no?
As long as the amp has adequate air flow area above, below and around it, it should be fine. I would leave at least 2-3" minimum of clearance above the amp heatsink.1 point

mounting an amp sideways-yes or no?
i don't see why it would overheat if the amp is sideways, as long as it has sufficient air flow then it should be fine1 point

RD Alpha v2 15 vs. new RE XXX 15
1 pointThe one and only product I would use from RD is the D9, even them I better be getting a hell of a deal on it and get a backup for when it blows and it takes Steve 6 months to fix it and another 6 months to sent it back. The customer service is enough to drive me away. That's cool that people think they are good products, you know what? The best products in the world break, they are electronic they wear out and fail. I's rather not be S.O.L. when that happens. Most people don't think about the man standing behind the product, and they should! /rant1 point

Audioque hdc3 woofers?
-1 pointswhat do you mean by that? There is nothing special about them, they will create sound. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone, not even for a paperweight. Don't listen to this crap. He's bias. I have heard single and dual set-ups for daily and competition set-ups and they are great. Subs are like food. Its mostly about preferences.-1 points

RD Alpha v2 15 vs. new RE XXX 15
-1 points2-3 mth old thread, but dont sleep on RD products nor SSA. Am good friends with ppl that use both products. All I can say is dont jugde a book by its cover, dont speak what you dont know, and try both before talking S$!t like ive heard lots of ppl do on this and many other sites. Both products are great quality, its just user decision on what they want. Just my 2 cents.-1 points
