  1. Me tapping out in my boys truck. lol song is - Immediate death by decibels. This truck does 157.0 DB at the headrest.
  2. Midbass in the center console is a bad idea. Midbass is still stereo. You will want the speakers to the far left and far right, not in the middle of the vehicle. Pro audio speakers are just like any other speaker; some are good and some not so good, implementing them wrong will lead to poor results. Honestly based on the questions you are asking I'm not sure active is a good choice for you. But, we'll see. What is your budget? What is your goal for the stereo? What do you still need to purchase (i.e. do you have amplifiers/etc already or do you still need everything for the front stage)? How much modifications are you willing or able to do to the vehicle?
  3. Sails / tweeter pods look good, im jealous cause my sails had no space for tweeters
  4. There's no good reason why you couldn't go ahead and get a ZCON and run it on 1200 watts. There's no such thing as underpowering, nor will too little power ever cause any problems. You could easily go ahead and get the ZCON and deal with upgrading the electrical for a bigger amp later, which is financially always the easiest way to acquire equipment, in steps.
  5. The welding cable is better quality than all car audio power cable....
  6. A full cooling plug/solid pole, with an "axial" style cooling. As I said in the past, the Zcon is the counter part to the Xcon, and answer to some of the needs people wanted but the Xcon was not meant to be. The Zcon is a higher power handling, higher capable output driver then the Xcon, but I hope people understand our model lines are not a direct line from one to the next. Reason I say this is that I notice some posts with the tone of the Zcon being a direct step up from the Xcon, which it is not as they are some what different. As in the Icon to the Xcon, there is some big differences in design and intent. The Dcon is somewhat like a mini-gen1 Icon. We don't plan to make the same driver at different power handling levels. Yes, they will all share a similar philosophy and very high standards for their respective design and purpose, but they are all different in their own right.
  7. I'm thinking you want to know the crossover functions, this might be a little more of a help then. http://www.soundsolu...__1#entry421623

  9. you stated that you want to get a Q 12, then ask which one you should get? little confused. Why do you want to upgrade? The gauge of wire is determined by the amp, not the sub.
  10. Once you order, you automatically get sent a tracking number. Don't get that confused from it being shipped. If it says billing infomation received, your order is being processed and Hasn't shipped yet. Now if you see movement of the package, it has shipped. I just figured I'd let you know before you wait a week and its not there yet. It usually takes a few days to build the sub(depinding on lead time).
  11. Okay I read in another thread where you were slamming projectors being used in a grand prix and calling it rice. And your buying this? This is rice. Any way on to actually being somewhat helpful... I'm guessing the zcons would be in a ported box? The xcons in a sealed enclosure would (personally) sound the best and get fairly loud, but the others in ported enclosures may be louder. Have you already used your 2 12" xcons in a setup before? Was it not enough output? Enclosure specs?
