Aaron just because I am umemployed right know doesnt give Tirefyre the right to say I am broke. I speak the truth and unfortunately, you can't quite understand what I typed. You took one word I typed and that was the only thing you gathered from my post. Many times in this thread, and many others, you've proven your inability to comprehend what is typed, or you let your emotion get involved and just take it in a totally different direction. If you don't want someone to comment on your being unemployed, do not post it. It's simple as that. You opened the door and I merely walked in. Just as you have the right to type anything you want, I have the right to comment on it. I expect the same in any thread or post I make. It is common sense, but alas this is a virtue any more, not an instinct.
  2. We only run sales occasionally here, we do however have the rewards program that is associated with certain marked products on the store where you receive 10% of your purchase price back in the form of store credit, which is nice to purchase other things like wire etc. The supporter tag can be acquired by following this link: http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/index.php/donate.html Thanks for your business!
  3. To get the 'Supporter' tag you donate to keep the site running, they have no discount codes that I know of.

Correct. Actually, I am not affiliated with anyone, nor do I have anything to do with anyone but myself. MY comments reflect my views and only my views. They are not posted to reflect anything but my opinion. Exactly. The lack of information is the key. This is always the problem and when you ask people for more information or what they are trying to accomplish, they often get sandy as if you are questioning their machismo. I believe the part number I gave should have been sufficent? No. You asked a blanket question and left it open to interpretation. You want people to put forth the effort to answer your question appropriately then put the work into forming a proper post with all the information. Your question was, "Is a kicker kx3 a good crossover to use?" If people had simply answered YES or NO, what good is that? It doesn't tell anyone anything. People were trying to help. That is the reason we all posted in the first place. The problem is every one reads posts differently and reacts to them differently. It's as simple as that.
  5. sounds badd ass... pics pls
  6. Clamp results are generally useless. Crescendo is sold directly from Crescendo. Sundown is sold through dealers, which means more margin. Just because the Crescendo is the same price but 1kw more powerful (rated power) doesn't necessarily mean it's a cheaper amp from a build quality perspective. I think it'd be a little difficult to say companies were "copying" Sundown if they were both simply ordering the same OEM board from the same buildhouse. That's what buildhouses do, that's their business....selling the same OEM boards to different companies. More than one company buys that board from the buildhouse. That's how they make their money.
  7. Rated RMS power handling isn't a power recommendation, as I stated above it's simply the point at which things can potentially start to break. It's not a power minimum, it's a recommended power maximum. There are two types of power handling: Thermal and mechanical. Thermal power handling is how much power the voice coil is able to accept before it begins to overheat, which can lead to failure. It is primarily based on the design of the driver; the size and design of the voice coil and how well the voice coil can dissipate heat. Mechanical power handling is how much power the driver is able to accept before you exceed it's suspension/excursion limitations. This is based on both the driver and more importantly the enclosure. Rated RMS power handling is typically a thermal rating. Since mechanical power handling is determined mostly by the enclosure, depending on the type and design of the enclosure it's entirely possible to mechanically damage a driver with the rated RMS power if that enclosure allows the driver to exceed it's mechanical limits with that level of power.
  8. Great. 40's sound great too, really anywhere in the 35-45ish range. I never metered my car just by ear.

  11. Me too. I love the efficient builds. Would be interesting if there was a competition class with clamped power and vehicle size. Stefan was doing big output with not much power for a while. I did a 152.6 on a sea1200. I know I know its a wall. For whatever reason that dosent count. 150 at 34hz with kind of a wall on saz-3500.. YAWN. 150.2@39Hz with 2 12"s on a SAZ2000 with no extra battery and 4awg wiring. In a convertible. SON.
