  1. What makes you say that? Only asking for reasoning since I have had thoughts on picking up an M4a. I completely understand what you're asking, but unfortunately am not familiar enough with DD amps to give you an answer. I'm sure if you asked about Sundown or IA, or ZED, you would get more helpful posts... Not sure why ppl are saying apples and oranges and crap rather than actually posting something to help... Here's what I found on youtube, hope it helps!
  2. 48hrt peak on music either use lil jon push that, or get the new usaci cd use track 8 or 9 . Ill be at the daytona location defending my record.
  3. Port tuning / length is based off port area, not shape.
  4. If you just put that 130 dollar towards better front speakers you will be more happy then using the rear lid speakers which will get easily destroyed if you have decent bass. And the bass will normally be louder without the 6*9's in there.
  5. wall socket?........LMAO!!
  6. I found an ad on CL for someone looking to trade their ps3 for a 360, looks promising.
  7. 1 point
i dont compete so i dont know the rules or whatever the requirements might be. the correct equipment can help but install is everything, perhaps more so for competitions. first thing you would want to do is figure out what your useable space is. i see you mentioned some dimensions above. the next step would be to find out the net volume of such an enclosure. this will tell you which subwoofers will fit, i would assume you would go with a pair of 15s or 18s. next you would want to figure out how much power your going to run. it sounds like you will have a decent electrical system to back things up. i dont know enough to say you can safely run XXX amount of watts. last step would be choosing equipment that will meet your goals and taste. You have SSA icons on your list. they're are a great subwoofer but they are not exactly designed for competing. however, you could still post good numbers in the correct install. Something more along the lines of a Fi BL would seem to fit with your goals more. I think you could save some cash by getting some used amp(s) and subs. idk about the DC or PSI subs and i would pass on anything skar. The Dcon is not a match for the power your running, assuming your serious about running ~4000 watts as you said above. Icons would sound nice but you would have to be careful with that kind of power, really no point in putting more the rated to any sub on a daily basis. SSA Xcon would be good choice if you like the Icon but need more power handling, from what i've heard. Fi has some good subs that might work for you. Fi Bl or BTL are more in line with your goals. Sundown SA would only work, with the power your running, if you ran 3-4 subs.
  8. Damn 23,400 views. not bad for a little camaro build.
  9. ordered my 6 runs of 2/0 welding cable today. Mike singer still has my alternator. working on a 20 hole distribution block to manage all my power wires. yes 20. 12 inputs and 8 outputs. no bumpin just yet. but now that this piece is done i can re-install the batteries and amp
  10. As promised. subs and port installed
  11. Thanks mjmarovi, that helped alot, I couldnt find that video on youtube, im glad you posted it, so it looks like it puts out about 5k on .5. Ill be running 1 ohm with a solid electrical. Also I hate that apples to oranges crap, oranges are healthier for you so the orange would win. Also the site says 2200 watts, but they post in their description something like "This amp is known to put out over 3000watts". So Id say its in the same range as a 3500d.
  12. Damn 3 g's for the LEGO's? That is awesome! Damn, busy busy. Glad the auctions went well. I am hoping to make another grand or two off the rest. Yes 5k in LEGO's. Should pay for a nice trip to Hawaii for my 10 year anniversary , Kauai and the Big Island to be more precise.
  13. I was thinking about this thread this morning and realized I can't hear my comps in the rear at all. They are useless to me up front, so no rear fill for me next time. Thinking about a nice set of high-end comps. Any recommendations? I was looking at a nice set of Hertz or Focals? I know the budget wants to be known, but I don't have one in mind yet. I could see me spending 5 or 6 hundred for a set of heavenly sounding comps
  14. should get the subs in. port assembled, painted and installed. braces finished tomorrow. still need to re assemble battery bank. and re install amps maybe wednesday.
  15. Probably not known in the US but the 3.2 V6 24valve from alfa romeo. Looks great( yes the engine itself), sounds amazing and keeps on going, doesn't break down engine wise if you follow the services. A lot of engines with over 0.5 million kilometers.)
  16. I'm hoping this staff meeting took place at a titty bar, and the pics will be of the naked women.
  17. I hear that daily. My partner at work is a huge JL nuthugger. "you only need 1 W7... 2 cost way too much". Lol. fixed
  18. Get a better set of comps for the front. A front stage that is properly setup can get crazy loud. Instead of buying 10 cheap speakers get some quality equipment. If you just want to be loud go the pa/super tweeter route.
  19. I also would like to run sundown ns1s and z v3's
