SSA's Evil SS Camaro. 4 Evil 15s and 2 DC 7.5ks
thanks man. I do have a lot of fun building and rebuilding, even when its frusterating as heck sometimes. I said it before that I wanted to see how loud I could get this before I really go nuts on a big build. I have learned a lot in the past few years. I would like to apply all that I have learned on a big, clean slate.Sitting back and learning from others better than you is the best advice I can offer anyone.1 point

Score is not nice, it's fantastic ! I don't know how you can sit and listen to music that loud, but...CONGRATULATIONS ! You're really not afraid of re build everything to be satisfied. And you got serious skills.1 point

Advice needed! outdoor subwoofer and enclosure.
Do you need a fair amount of output? I ask because outdoor audio really takes a hit on the bottom end. You don't get any room gain... Most outdoor subwoofers I have built have been vented, most 4th order bandpass and horns. I would stay away from a sealed alignment, unless of course you aren't worried about output. Honestly, 150 watts and a single driver in a seale dbox won't go really far. As far as the enclosure, is it going to get humidity only or get directly rained on? If it is just humidity, you can use most materials if you build it right. My in-laws have a set of 2-ways mounted above thier hot tub in a sun room (green house). I used Adire 4.5" midbases and Audax tweeters. It is a vented alignment, so air can get inside the box. The boxes are MDF, but I primed the inside with 3 coats of Dupont snadable primer and the outside is finished with Formica. I also used stainless mounting hardware and gold plated terminals. Everything soldered and the joints were cleaned and coated with conformal coating. It has been almost 8 years, the only thing that has changed is the copper phase plug on the Adire drivers isn't as shiny as it used to be, not turning green, but opaque looking... For a sub, look into a lab horn if you have the room, build it out of marine grade plywood and get it shot with line-x.... You could spray it with a hose every day and it would be fine... Hope this helps...1 point

I know I have a car audio addiction when......
When you have to constantly do suspension, performance and brake upgrades to sustain the extra of your system. Already said before but, you get annoyed when people call you while you're driving. When you actively post on 5 different forums. When the contacts in your phone are screen names and not the persons actual name. When the value of your installed gear is triple that of the value of the car its in. When you buy subs just to blow them.1 point

LOL and did you pass high school ??... its JEALOUS.... wtf is jeoluse ?? really do you not remember coming on to my build log and posting this... pretty funny you can call me a shit starter but your the one who starts it lol... Listen to yourself. You want to sit here behind a keyboard and stir the pot for no reason. This trying to be a grammar Nazi is completely moronic. It would have some point if you could use proper capitalization and punctuation, but you have failed to do so. Please do us all a favor and don't point out others shortcomings or anything else. Just simply leave. Steve, congrats on the score bro!!! J1 point

1 pointSo this was a little different experience for me, haha, opening a product I've never seen opened before. I haven't seen any ZED equipment unpackaged, as far as newer model amps are concerned. Usually, when its time to open a present, you shake the box, listen for noise, look at the physical size of the package and w/e other technique we did as children, to nail it down to a few things of what might be inside. Well, I knew what was inside, I've just never seen one in person, where as christmas presents, we usually see our gifts at w/e store. So instead of ripping up the package, lol, I carefully untaped it There was no pretty pictures on the box, which is fine by me uhhhhhh, and then hold your breath There she is! Like I said, I didn't know what to expect, I actually just let it sit there in the box for a few minutes as I was sort of nervous lol I was really like this, After four weeks, I haz a Zed Leviathan 3 Its rather large, but not so heavy, which is good. maybe less than 10 lbs, I suppose you could put it in the "small thing big package" category:D As you can see from the picture, It has a decent size foot print, but the picture still does no justice. The big circle thing with all the copper coils wrapped around it is like, one big mofo lol. 3" in diameter to be exact. The caps are huge as well. There was quite a big of scracthes on the plexi, which kind of scared me at first, because some of the scratches are pretty deep. But once you remove the laminate cover, its squeeky clean. Ummm, overall, I really love this thing. Not sure when I will be installing it, most likely not for a while. I would like to get those 4 drivers and 4 tweets installed first. But like I said, 10/10 as far as first impression goes1 point- best material to sound proof doors
i used the luxury liner pro on my doors.. worked great.. . no issues with the panel going back on at all .1 point- NEM's Evilinator!!

1 pointIt's ghey.com and we have a filter on here so we can't be linked to that shit hole.1 point- Custom Speaker Baffle Necessary/Recommended?
It's just my opinion, but I would highly recommend ditching the plastic. It's not that hard to make a few rings and glue them together to make a good solid baffle and it's well worth the small effort and cost. I've never seen any plastic mounting ring that was nearly as strong as a well built wood/ply/MDF one. Part of the big picture when considering it a "proper" installation in my opinion.1 point- 08 scion xb^2 B2 products galore.
Alrighty the weather prevailed a little bit so was able to finish installing for the most part. Battery didn't show up at Les Schwab so the install isn't totally complete. But on with the pics. Internals of the Audiopipe 3000.1D Checking the box in the hatch area. Empty hatch area. Quite a mess. The tray under the false floor. Cut out 2 holes that will let me slide the yellow tops in nicely. One of the yellow tops in. Will have to wait for the other one till next week. Box with the Xcons inside. Sitting at idle at the amp. If the weather is nice again tomorrow I will try to get some vids. I managed to scare my mom and my sister today and didn't get either on film.....fail I know.1 point - Painting or Wrapping MDF
