I'm torn between an HDC3 18 and a UFO 18. Will be in 8 cubes with 1500 watts. I like the lows and sound quality doesn't matter too much for me.
  4. Nice I like how your mixing two hobbies you love together, keep them coming.
  5. Big Jon you have every right to post this stuff, don't feel bad lol. I hope ppl learn to do massive research on a company or builder before dropping stacks. Like the third time that shop has done this. JPrice has James (guy who built his work truck) fixing everything. I lol'd at the door panels, right one had cardboard and duct tape on them. And idk why kob thought he could build a good enlcosure when he did not build his own. I hope something happens and JP gets $ for the damages and to fix that stuff. I almost cried at the grounds and wires.
  6. That's awesome!
  7. Fun little video. http://youtu.be/VB6ueXRsIDs
  8. Very important answer. . . . If you feel like spending your money on something unknown that could be very expensive to fix IF it can even be fixed at all, then go for it.
  9. That's not Aaron. He works out shirtless with Hello Kitty thongs.
  10. Yes that is Aaron. His tattoo's are on his right arm.
  11. This was spotted in Ohio.
  12. I would shrink that box down a little if you can. 2 cubes is the Max sealed recommended box size for the li 15. With that being said , since you only have 500 rms, its not going to hurt if the box is slightly bigger than recommended size.....just reduce it by half a cube or so and it will be fine.

  14. Yeah it is supposed to be 75 tomorrow, then after that probably 90+ until October. I'm going to get a lot done tomorrow. I'll definitely post a build log I'm just waiting until I have some pics of the progress.
  15. Thanks Tim, Loud is the new thing you know If I was you, I would have went with the Icons! They are amazing. And thanks bro! Thanks brad, what was the edit for? lol Thanks rick! When are you gonna get something going???
  16. its not bringing drama its just showing truth...its all how you look at it. It's drama. Everytime this guy's name comes up, it's drama. i didnt MAKE the name of the topic.. as to start drama.. i simply named it what the youtube video was named... i also didnt make any negative remarks, if anything.. i think this is along the same lines at 1 of the 1500 topics started here named " local car audio shop stories " and should be taken as a warning to anyone who may think twice about having KOB customs do thair stereo work........ so.. drama? or a FAIR WARNING..... take it as you will... and i have to say ryan.. i hear where your coming from, but i think you may have jumped to conclusions about my motive on posting this........ and if anything.. you kinda started the drama here... now and tonight. the proof is in the pudding.
  17. So you just built a box? No measurements? Just went for it.... I REALLY hope it isn't ported.

    Which hole?

Ones that vibrate work better. Insert brushy side into your hole.
  21. Build enclosure to spec and run rated power. Could they handle more sure if done correctly and dont complain if they fail. Ratings are set in place for specific reasons and you should not start putting more power to them on account of what others have done or said, seen, ect. Should you feel your electrical is up to par and you have a clean signal as well as an enclosure that is up to par than slowy began adding power until you feel they are at a point they will not take anymore. Remember there are more than one limit that will cause a subwoofer to fail like bottoming out, over excursion, thermal limits, should you find your self adding more power pay close attention to these as your Distortion detector will not save you from any of the above nor will it 100% determine your signal will always be clean. In conclusion it is not reccomended to run more than rated but is possible. No one will be able to tell you x amount is too much as there are way too many varibles and is install dependant. Have fun!
  22. When did RF do that? If they did it in the last few years, they sure are taking their sweet time. . . .
  23. typically a diesel will have a bigger alt .. VW fits 120 and 140 Amp alts on the 1.9 and 2.0 TDI's ... they are indeed interchangable with the alts on the petrol engines , ,
  24. I would make it shine with 1k.
