  1. Well, it's a kind of progress. I've been working for awhile now to figure out how the hell to fit everything in the back of the truck. What I had originally imagined/planned for the amp rack had to be scrapped once I started getting some measurements and things going. Not enough room to do the neat angles and "floating" look I had imagined in the first place. So then I looked into mounting them angled and such with one on each side and about every configuration I could come up with and none were quite right. So finally I tried this last design out, along with a lot of cardboard templates and it looks like this will work out very well. The XS Power XP950 battery will be located inside/under the amp rack and the SAZ-1500D will simply be mounted flat on the rack with the SAX-125.2 mounted above it using threaded aluminum spacers. It's not a jaw dropper like I was trying to go for in the first place, but it will look good enough and function well which is most important. On to the Sketchup drawings. Here's basically what it will look like when I open the back of the truck. Angle more from the front. You can see the angle for the back of the seats. Here you can see the basic location for the XP950 and where the wheel well will be covered and hidden by the rack. The back cover will be removable for access to the battery. The rack will be bolted down to the back of the truck with three 5/16" bolts. I will also be able to access the wingnuts that will hold the amp rack to the bolts for quick removal when needed.
  2. F6 that bitch.
  3. Plus most of the shit coming out now-a-days is terrible. Not that I should really care, but even 90% of the advertisements these days make me infuriated. Annoying Progressive insurance girl, shut the fuck up. KFC, guys doing a magic trick, and everyone turns away to see the guy that got a tray of food from KFC for only a few bucks. OMFG, so smart KFC. I guess this is what happens when you start watching a little TV after not watching for years. *Crawls back into a cave, cave of internets, or as Ted Stevens would say: Internet is not something that you just dump something on. It's not a big truck. It's a series of tubes. And if you don't understand, those tubes can be filled and if they are filled, when you put your message in, it gets in line and it's going to be delayed by anyone that puts into that tube enormous amounts of material, enormous amounts of material.
  4. She does it a lot.
  5. The amp is here at the shop : * The main capacitor bank now contains 160v units for maximum reliability at 19v operation. * As with the other new 2012 amps we have a fan * 16x IRF064N power supply MOSFETs (BEEF)
  6. Well sort of an update. Those pods didn't work out so well. I think its just cus they are so small. Oh well it only cost like 5 bucks to try it out. Was told the xc's could possibly be here friday. Stay tuned! Also as a heads up...there is a possiblity of getting 2 more xc's and installing a 4th order bpillar wall.....big hopes here.
  7. That was just wrong Senchez.........but funny as hell!
  8. Any updates on this build? Or is it "finished"?
  9. Just be patient, and wait till friday, then I will attempt to get into contact again. No sense in worring yourself after a few days.
  10. Generally it's best to separate the enclosure into separate chambers for two reasons: First, that divider acts as a brace for the enclosure and helps strengthen the structure of the enclosure. Second, in the event one driver fails it protects the second driver a little more for subsequently being damaged. If one driver fails the 2nd driver would then "see" an enclosure twice the volume as intended which would increase the efficiency and could potentially result in the driver being overpowered if you are already running close to the limit. Other than that, there won't be any performance differences.
  11. That'll do. J Already done.
  12. Best thing to do is chill, they'll get ya the sub when it is done. When ordering custom made to order subs it takes them time and if they get slammed it can take a bit longer but you can rest assured your getting some of the best out there.

  14. Looking for a four stroke or two stroke? Budget? I'd look for some KTMs. Pretty much everyone I ride with (including my dad) has KTMs, both 4stroke and 2stroke, and none of them have ever had any issues. If I was to bet money on which bikes were the most reliable, that's where I'd put my money. Personally I like 2strokes, and in that case I'd be looking for some exc/xc/xc-w 250cc, 300cc. I believe the exc has lights and all that street legal stuff, where as the xc and xc-w do not. The xc-w is the wide ratio tranny version of the xc. That option will likely depend more on what your riding, perhaps the "w" plus changing gearing would help if you plan on cruising around town on it. The 300cc version is basically the same weight as the 250cc, but faster, more torque, easier to climb up hills, etc. If you go the 4stroke route, check out their xc-w 450. They just came out with a sweet 350 4stroke, but doubt you want to spend over $7k USD on a brand new bike. I'm actually riding a suzuki rm250 now (motocross bike), and it does just fine for all the single track and technical stuff we do. Haven't had any issues with it either. Really the list could go on and on as to what bikes are decent, the above is just what I've personally rode. I don't know if there is any sand dunes or anything like that near you, but if the bike has paddle tires, I wouldn't bother with it. In a nutshell, I would like a 2-stroke, road-legal bike. 250cc should be plenty. 4-stroke also works. Pricing is not going to be clear since I don't live in the US but under 2k used is something I would shoot for. I was looking at the RM250 and compared to a street bike I've been eying up (Suzuki GS500e), they are much more expensive and not road-legal Because of your location I'd check out KTM, Husqvarna, MZ, and other European brands as they should be cheaper than US and Asian imports. Also, don't limit yourself to just motorcycles: having fun on 2 wheels is having fun on 2 wheels, no?

  17. i agree... but with hugo its all you will see....hes the kinda man that if its worth doing.. its worth doing correctly and perfectly. its amazing because he puts so much detail into things that will just be covered up! no one will ever see them.. but they are amazing in quality and craftsmanship .... even his commuter car is fucking nuts with not only sound.. but attention to detail. you can look at something simple and think.. hey not that hard.. looks simple enough.. but if you only knew the steps it would BLOW YOUR mind. i remember the first time i see the door pods in the cream puff. i think they are 8's... everything was painstaking cut PERRRRFECTLY, as to make it look like it belongs there some how.. but if you know hugo he takes it all in stride, never brags never boast just smiles........ your the man hugo!! Thanks for the exceptionally kind words fellas, especially BigJon. This is a great community to be a part of and to be able to hang out with some of the people I've met here like BigJon and SteveMead make it that much more special. Thanks guys, for all the support and advice, alot of this is in part because of you guys. Thanks. My hats of you to you all.
