  1. Our build house may be on the slow side, but it is no reason for us to lower our quality and jump ship.
  2. Actually he said outwardly the motors appeared to be similar. That says nothing about similarities within the motor, and frankly he doesn't even give any external measurements of the motor itself to confirm they are anything more than similar in appearance. Also, if you look at the actual measured T/S parameters you can see they are different drivers. The Xcon has a higher Q, lower Fs, lower Le and higher Mms. Plus the Xcon has slightly more linear excursion and I believe higher thermal power handling as well. It is still an Fi copy with a couple alterations. Quoted "Any differences from the Q are probably in the voice coil itself and the gap geometry and possibly the pole piece machining." Coil is different, suspension is different, magnet ID is different, dust cap is different, gap is different, pole piece is different, back plate is different, cooling is different. You can step off of your soap box now. -the guy thats built hundreds of them.
  3. Well today was 102 degrees. Managed a 159.5 at an official Usaci show on TL. My best official score before was 157.9. That's what counts. Pretty big gain.
  4. oh.. see.. there i go fuckin up your alls moment u had at the show.. No wonder why i was clueless..
  5. A box so that my ass won't go too low ? For power squats (wide stance) I never ever go under 90*. A box to put your dick in, great relaxation for the back. Just make sure that you require her to do the work so you don't aggravate anything.
  6. SMD trying to rape? No, can't be.
  7. if there was any doubt if the could withstand high pressure, I think this was a good test.
  8. Congrats man....time for a 60?
  9. I agree. Clearly too young to know how to make an exquisite sandwich.
  10. Front end looks beast hommie good job

I bet it sounds awesome tuned low like that. I love my low tuning
  12. Side note, that was the debut of the Zcon-CF's.
  13. haters gonna hate!
  14. nice videos little more tweaking and im sure you'll get that 160 !!
  15. So I got the subs built last Friday night, then installed Saturday morning. Installed with the Fi stickers still on. Then onto DD stickers. lol This was the first score I got out of it. This was after 10 minutes of full power burping at the wrong note. So subs were HOT and batteries were DEAD. Went back few days later with cool subs and charged batteries, gained .7 by having it all fresh. Then at the show, had them all fresh, A/C going full blast to cool the cabin and got this! Still LOTS more to come! After demo'ing all day at Scrapin', the batteries were low to say the least. Since my Singer alternator didn't make it in time. This picture is after driving for 20 minutes with everything off. While demo'ing and such, I broke part of the emblem off the driver door. lol Then today, 2/24/2012, I got these Enkei SR6 18"s for the PT for $100. I was just driving to my parents house, and saw them sitting in someones yard next to a PT. So I pulled in and asked if they were for sale, she said they were and asked what I wanted to pay. I was thinking $300-$400. She said "I'll let you have em' for $100 since your parents live right there and I'm scarred to post them on craigslist so you're helping me out" lol. I responded with " I'll be back with cash in 20 minutes" haha

very nice... time to get some more power in that thing
  18. Looks wicked man its nice to see my old n2s doing work. Seriously are some nasty damn subs and im sure with the alt and tweaks you'll get a 160. I do believe a stripper pole and some serious roof work is needed first.

    thanks,. i like to party!
  20. Lets get it started for an amazing sunday/weekend!!
  21. very good job today.. it was hot as BALLS today you had a great deal of gain... i wanted to hear it but i always think its better that people who have never had the chance to go first. great showing today
  22. Maybe we can get something up at the event in October, I'm going!
  23. The only person making it an issue is you. The only person bringing it up on a weekly basis is you. The only person posting it in every thread about SSA subwoofers is you. The only person who fails to understand they are not rebadged Fi subwoofers is you. The problem.....is you. Nick's post above demonstrates that they are not copies as the differences he outlined are everything that matters in a subwoofer, and proves you are wrong. That is coming straight from the guy who built them. Now if you could kindly wipe the sand from your vagina and stop bringing it up constantly as you've just been proven wrong, that would be great.
  24. Nice they could come here and update the thread, right? Makes me want to not give them $400.00. I did see it on there, but to me it comes down to being respectful to the forum. i bet the winner was from SMD. seems he has a certain loyalty to that forum Which is fine, but always show respect to potential customers on all forums in which you associated the contest with. That goes a long way with me and may others.

  26. Quoted "Any differences from the Q are probably in the voice coil itself and the gap geometry and possibly the pole piece machining." Are the external dimensions of the motor identical? He doesn't say, and I don't honestly know. I'm guessing you don't either. So it appears both you and he are basing that on nothing more than the outward appearance of the motor. Even if the outward dimensions are similar doesn't mean they are identical. T/S parameters show they aren't identical. Thermal power ratings show they aren't identical. The voice coil, gap geometry and pole machining and other features are what matters in the motor, not how similar they look externally. Yes, there is going to be some similarities. That doesn't make them copies. I don't understand why you feel the need to bring this up on a weekly basis? We get it. You think they are copies just because they are built at the same buildhouse, even though they are clearly not identical drivers. Did you do this to Sundown when they were using off the shelf boards? Follow Jacob around and post in every thread about how it's a copy of XYZ? Do you tell Kevin at Skar about how similiar his subs are to Sundown because they are designed by the same person? Or post in every Arc thread about all of the other brands that use their boards? Or is this a special fetish you have for SSA?
  27. lmao ^^^^ still cant believe u actually got ur money back.... FTW !!
  28. I'll have more pics tomorrow at the show. Hopefully a video of a 160+ and blowing the windshield the rest of the way out. Right now its just 2 big ass cracks at the bottom. I was able to stop before it finished itself off. Jons about 30 minutes out so I'm about to get my drink on. In second thought I might go snap a pic now.
  29. First couple burps this morning yielded a Broken windsheild. Gonna get this fixed today for the show tomorrow. 159.9 in the kick.
  30. This Video is sick
  31. I use Forest blades which are 300-400, but you can get a 120 tooth blade at home depot for like 40 bucks.
  32. t anyone like Liquid drum & bass ?? Netsky is one of my favorites
  33. Sen. Just an fyi. I teabagged those amps before sending them off.
  34. I replied to your email first thing this morning. For a quad of Zcon's on a pair of 5500's, to get the amplifiers to see a 1 ohm load, you are going to want to order dual 1 ohm voice coils. I suggest listening to what a few have said, at least in terms of space. Just because you had 4 L7's, that does not mean they had the proper air space. We have a few people with 5500's and 4 Zcon's, and they are all seasoned competitors with large battery banks, huge alternators (if not more then one), voltage regulators and are running walls for the Zcon's. There is no issue on ordering 4 Zcon 12D1's and a pair of Crescendo 5500's, that has some extremely high potential, BUT, if they are not given the proper air-space and supplied with sufficient current, it will be a waste of money. These are massive amplifiers that can easily put out ratted and then some, but they need huge amounts of current to do so. It would be like hiring Magnus VerMagnusson as your body guard, but only allowing him to eat two cups of rice a day and having one hand tied behind his back.
  35. you have to think about what the car uses just by itself also. with a 1100cca batt under the hood, big 3 done and a 220A alt i bet you still get your headlights to blink with a 2K amp. that is alot of expensive equipment to burn up, take it a step at a time. start with a 2K amp and that 220A alt with a pair of subs on it and work your way up from there when you gain the experience.
  36. You sure you're up for such a big setup not knowing how to wire your subs?
