  1. How do you know when the egg is hot enought to cook pizza? When the hair on your arm gets brunt off.

one thing i think everyone is forgetting is sound deadening. sounddeadenershowdown.com plenty of info here
  3. M5 a troll? This forum tiny? People don't like coming here? No one said you were an idiot, but if you want to run back to a forum to bash this site instead of making an effort to work with the people who are offering you assistance, then it shows why you're on that forum and not here. Not trying to start anything, but on this forum, we try to take an intelligent approach to problems or questions, and usually that entails starting out with the most information possible before just tossing out answers. As for how your setting your gains, good luck, I continue to see topics showing up across the net with blown sub woofers from installs using that tool. If you want easy answers with minimal information provided while not really making the most of what could be, you were in the right place before. If you want to do it with a little more planning or preparation though logical discussion, then this is the correct forum.
  4. When it burns your curly hair through jeans. Then it is Juuuuuuust right lol.
  5. I love it, can you post that on our FB page? How do I do that? go here and post the link to the photo http://www.facebook.com/pages/Sound-Solutions-Audio/170860939855
  6. Geniuses. im glad i joined this forum! i've learned a hell of a lot
  7. Which will allow him to add a second 4 ohm DCON later when he wants more bass. Good thinking.
  8. Aq750 will give you 300rms @ 4 ohms
  9. The Dcon does not need more then RMS, it's a fairly efficient sub woofer.
  10. Depends on which coil configuration you get. I ran a 12" DCON on a Sundown SAX125.2 bridged @ 4 ohms. Worked great together. There used to be a packaged deal in the SSA store.
  11. I can provide that tomorrow, I have been tracking my eating for the last ~2 months. I'm down ~65 lbs in that same time span, but I would like to see if I can do anything better. Congrats on the weight loss. I wanted to be SSAs biggest looser. If I dont stop having burger king for breakfast I will get my ass whipped! Again, congrats man.
  12. Awesome Truck Sir !!! I'm digging the LIGHTS !!!
  13. He answered your question, follow the manufacturer's recommendations. Honestly and not trying to be a dick, if you did a little more research yourself you never would of had to have asked the question. Manufacturers recommendations are always solid but with more experience you can adjust to better suit your goals. He will have you chasing your tail for as long as you will let him. Ignore him. Fortunately I am not the one that has to rely on this forum to deepen my pocket on his arrogance would have been gone. Ha, even the guy who despises me states I answered your question. As for the chasing your tail comment, that only happens to those unwilling to try to think. If you aren't willing to even try well then by default it'll happen no matter what you do. Of course you could go to a boner central forum and get the answer you have already decided that you think you want. Just expect it to be a major fail in reality....although if you accepted it and belived it you'll probably never notice and preach it. Pretty classic in the world of car audio. Ask edub, he drinks the kool aid. M5 a troll? This forum tiny? People don't like coming here? Jackasses who dont use it correctly will blow shit. A tool doesn't have a brain, but of course neither does anyone usng a DD-1. Only thing it's good for is filling some rip-off artists pockets by stealing from audio noobies. Absolutely useless for anything.

Excellent work in this thread Drew ... Very Impressive !!!
  15. I seriously doubt the meat was the problem...although I have to admit that I come from the other spectra. I eat extremely balanced and more than 2x what anyone else I know eats and tip the scales at about 205 atm. Being 6'7 though that doesn't leave a lot of meat behind. I commend your effort and interest. I've posted some of my dietary comments before on the site and think you've chosen a good location to discuss them. There are a variety of super well rounded individuals in the hop with viewpoints that you can utliize by choosing which YOUR body responds to. Sure it's hard to measure because nothing will come quickly and actually stay, but some diligence and a change WILL bring about measurable results. I would encourage you to change your thoughts a little bit. Instead of making weight loss your primary goal, make being healthy your primary goal. It will put a positive spin on what is really important instead of letting societal rules determine what you need. In your reply you basically stated that you are trying to avoid the grave, but came to the conclusion that weight is the issue. It isn't, but it is a by product of the issue. Time to address the issue. And although the net result is the same to the scale perhaps, the pyschy and gains you get from really chasing what you need is much healthier. It will also keep the losses promised and realized by diets that are only very temporary solutions at the wayside. And those are never healthy in the long or short term.
  16. Nice work! Along with your diet I'd like to understand your goals. Weight alone is only a subset. And again, don't look at me as a nutritionalist or anything other than a very perceptive world traveler with a tongue for food and a never satiated desire to eat.
  17. Couple things to add to your box size/power statements. While a smaller enclosure can take a little more power they don't have the cooling capabilities as a larger enclosure. On the other hand a larger enclosure is more prone to unloading with less power than a optimal/smaller enclosure. As for covering ports, that's most likely with multiple aeros (I don't know what you've seen). The only reason I can see to plug the whole port(s) rather than just cover it would be to displace airspace and change the volume of the box to correspond with the change in tuning. Haven't really looked into it at all, but sounds like a reasonable answer. Not sure where the "dumb" question is though.
  18. But can it travel back to the future?
  19. Use 5 minute loctite from lowest or depot. Get the one with the long tube.
  20. You are not an idiot but you did buy the DD-1 to set your gains. You also feel the need to give more power than recommended to your SSD's and for what? All ///M5 does is help people. You just took what he was saying the wrong way or you did not understand.
  21. Not sure if this is a total fail or an epic win yet..
  22. LOL ... Thank you Sir !!! I try to keep things as simple as possible and be very effective at the same time. This would be alot easier if I didn't have to drive and work out of this truck everyday ... My pockets/wallets are not fat by any means, I saved my money for this system a LONG time before I bought product, and to be honnest, the upkeep on this truck is kicking my ass !!! But ... its worth the trouble every time I drive it down the road !!! I have alot to do to it before I can get to Lebanon, Tn for MECA World Finals. Hopefully I will see you SSA compadras there !!! If you're interested, I still have that minty Linear Power 2.2hv for sale to get you set up on that front stage you've been working on ...
