  5. Tried to grab spinning sheet metal? SRSLY? Yes people react and things like that happen. nothing out of the norm for them. He was cutting a huge zip tie off of a bundle of steel. Pocket knife slipped. He knows better than to cut toward his other hand. He should have used band cutters, but was under a tight deadline and didn't go back to the truck to get them. So instead, we spent 4 hours in the ER. I'm sure he learned his lesson.
  6. The dcon is going to replace the JBL in the wife's car.

  8. I would like to see Team IAK and Team SSA help keep this bumped up and help as much as we can, Ty. Chop
  9. Glad to hear that you like it A fold down arm rest with a pass-thru would have been great. Unfortunately I had a solid plastic panel, no pass-thru. I had the same as well but I took the whole seat out and removed the solid plastic panel. Once I let the arm rest down it was a pass thru, so it will do for now. I wish I wouldn't have cut my arm rest bracket off. I also threw it out I would stick with what you have, wish I would have done the same.
  10. Why are you limited to 175? IF this is for burps in MECA, then, lol.. yea 175 is fine if you know how to control the current draw. We can burp 3,500w amps @1ohm on single 80a fuse if that's the case. If it's for daily.. then that makes no sense why you'd be limited to 175 so explain if necessary.
  11. Some do and some don't. We use 12volt fans under the flush panel to help with ventilation issues, typically works just fine like that.
  12. I personally do not think that car audio power cable has a thick enough jacket for me to feel comfortable running it under the vehicle exposed to the elements. Inside the vehicle it seems fine. I also have some Coleman Royale Stage cable that is perfect to run under vehicle. It has a very thick 600v jacket and is also very flexible. It's the same thing you see at Concerts, Carnivals and Fairs. Now being that I have been there and doing that now if you do plan to run another amp down the road make sure you place the first 3100 in a spot where you can just add more beside it later and also go ahead and do the main runs front to back so all you have to do is add jumpers. I have to pull all of mine out because I didn't do that the first time. Also for a BC5500 I would do 2 3100's in the rear along with your 3400 up front. Then add 2 or 3 more 3100's when you add the other amp. I would do 2 + and 2- front to back and also ground in the rear to the frame as well.
  13. Do not connect the grounds of the two batteries together if they are that far apart. Ground the D3100 in the rear to a much closer point. Depends entirely on the resistance of the wire compared to the resistance of the vehicle. Depending on the vehicle and/or grounding location it's possible for the wire to have less resistance, and hence would be a better choice.

  16. Alpha Damp is overall 25% thinner than Damplifier Pro(our thickest CLD) but the foil is much thicker. while Damplifier and Damplifier Pro have 6.5 mil foil(for those who don't know, the foil is the "Constrained Layer" and a very important part of a CLD mat.) the Alpha Damp has a 10 mil foil, which is why it is more effective than the other two. Max Edit: It seems i overlooked Kirill007's post stating more or less the same thing haha. Sorry abou that!
