  3. It's high or regular QTS. The regular is referred to as low several times though.
  4. There are free designs on the Fi section. They should please you.
  5. I was reading your topic about what setup to choose. What Im going to do for my 2 12 setup is drop seats down and slide a box in through the cabin into the trunk. Doing this for me at least made it so I had more depth because the trunk opening wudnt allow me to yet a good box on there. This should allow you to get more depth and still keep width. Note that I am going to have the port and subs front firing sealed off. Edit. Just build one box. It will be easier and less work. Also it will save a lot of room since you don't have as many side walls.
  6. Its gonna be hard to find ported enclosures in your trunk because most will be real wide on the dimensions, i dont see many enclosures with more depth than width. So if your trunk is 70" wide then i dont see how your gonna fit 2 decent enclosures in a trunk, which its not. You trunk is not that tall to stack the boxes on top of one another either. Dont cheap out on an enclosure, it will be the highest factor in your system sounding good or bad. Just my .02
  7. Looking forward to this no matter which way you go. My suggestion is boring but very a very affordable vehicle: GMC Savana Cargo Van. My company runs these vans and they are very reliable and once we sell them they are cheap. Lots of room, behind the two front seats everything is removed already, strong motor (5.3L), can handle a lot of weight or can be upgraded easily, but boring looking.
  8. You've obviously never ridden on a pipe. I am biting my lip like a motherfucker right now.
  9. Are you biting all sexy like?
  10. Wet sanded the from inside and roof Amp mounted Another layer before wax Outside view
  11. Stuff I actually listen to....
  12. Go with 2 12s. You could probably fit 2 15s but I doubt the box will be optimal. Better to have 2 12s in the best box than 2 15s in a too small of a box. Build your own box and have someone on here design it for you. I'm sure someone would. This will get you the most out of your system. Also you won't be able to hear a difference between 1200 and 1500. I was in the same situation. I didn't know if I wanted 2 12 or 2 15 zcons. I went with 2 12 becus the box would be more optimal with that setup.
  13. like mentioned above definitely get the car first and measure everything out but its honestly easier to just go with 1 box
  14. You need to buy the car and measure the trunk first of all.
  15. im not familiar with charger trunks but id probably say to ensure proper box size 2 12's ported would be your best option
  16. It probably sounded better because it wasn't as loud. Sq and spl don't mix, once you reach a certain level of output Sq kind of goes out the window.
  17. If you don't have the experience, I would suggest a standard 4th order vented, alot less to mess up...
  18. My brother is there mostly for moral support. haha. I built this enclosure all by my lonesome except for the paint.
  19. 1 point
Its funnier than having to replace your sub because your signal was so clipped you heated up the coil and fried it.
  20. Can't wait for snow ! I'd love to try out a car with a rotary engine in it... There were some guys at IFO with some INSANELY fast rotary engines. jeeebus
  21. One interview down, one to go. I always find the "Why should we hire you?" question amusing. Sometimes I just wanna tell 'em "You can't expect me to ball like Sean working as janitor, can you?!?!?!"
  22. They don't need rms power for great sound/performance. Don't be so fixated on the wattage number, and worry about features, size, quality, etc. Much of the time, it is a better usage of money to buy a used high quality amplifier or less power, then a brand new amplifier of higher power ratting. Yes, headroom is great to have, but when there is a budget applied to the amplifier, I feel headroom is not as important.
  23. Here are a few build pics. I don't think i ever put them in any build logs.
  24. Rockford fosgate punch 150hd.
  25. You might just laugh at me, but I still run an old Ultimate US2125 on my mids and highs. I bought it new in '97 or '98. I still love the thing.
  26. Imagine this as a panel and u got urself a mini grave digger. It's a bit over ur budget though.
  27. Buy an old Hurst. That is very very different.
  28. Thanks hopefully it preformes like everyone claims and looks
  29. the stripper pole is a inch and a half i believe ? might have to double check on that its welded with a plate that is attached to the center of the box and the floor with bolts and pl also the top is welded to a plate then fiber glassed to the roof and the pole also yes i plan on metering as soon as fi gets done with the recones theres a show at the speed way "import face off" this Sunday coming up so we will see how it does and as for the port the comp one is going to be 37 daily 31
  30. Picked up 4 of the Die Hard Platinum 31's today. Now have 8 batteries total. Should be enough I hope. Those batteries are kick ass!
  31. The enclosure will play a much bigger role on how it sounds than the sub itself. If I were you I would get the Bl. I have been following all of your threads here and over at CAF and I can almost guarantee that the Bl will be perfect for you. ShawnFleming is his user name.
