This weekend I purchased a new used car. Its a one owner low mileage Mercedes Benz S420. Its in great shape mechanically and needs a little TLC on the interior and on the paint. Some pictures: I will add some more pictures of the car and the interior soon. Equipment I have for the car audio wise would be: -Pioneer 800PRS headunit, may upgrade to the new model -Zed Leviathan -Eric Stevens HLCD's -Custom 15" SSA GCON Infinite Baffle subwoofer with carbon fiber cap made by Duran Adams -to be continued

Hey man, your install is lookin great but i NEED to tell you this ASAP before something bad happens. Your copper buss bar fusing system is a fire hazard. Long story short from experience building mine, if and when that wood absorbs moisture in the air, it will conduct electricity. It looks like you have the wood screwed into Ground. If that's true, i strongly suggest you remove the fusing and buss bar ASAP and put an insulator under the mounting area where the buss bars screw into the wood. I use GPO3 Fiberglass Insulation. There are many insulators out there.. Many glass sheeting Lowes sells can be considered an electrical insulator.

Well if you snag it I'd love to see it. I've ben considering finding one and trading my Formula for it. J

Seems about the same.. Didnt have it up to loud though since its so cold... Hmmm, I would imagine that you will be able to play longer, and get more out of her on short burst.

Business is business. Big or small, you owe it to the customer to handle your business timely. Many companies have the same issues as these smaller companies and they still are able to be contacted. Time of year, business demand, etc. . . There is no excuse. That's how the business world works.

Playing the low notes and doing it with authority are two different things. If you want to play all notes then sealed is fine. If you want to really hammer out those low notes then I would do a ported enclosure on the larger side tuned around 28. Just dont go overboard on port area to keep from unloading easily. Downside is the 40+ will suffer somewhat in output.

If you are asking these questions, you have NO business painting your car. IT's not like painting a wall or anything else. It is truly an artform and takes years and years to master. You don't just simply sand, clean, and paint. I'm not trying to be a dick, but you shouldn't even be thinking about this, especially with a pearlescent paint. There is a reason good paint jobs are expensive. IF this is something you just HAVE to do, get some small amounts, get friendly with a local painter so you can rent a booth and learn some things, and practice on many panels first. I'd hate to see you screw up your car. I grew up in a body shop, have been messing with this type of stuff for about 25 years and I still suck at it and today's paints and materials are much more forgiving.
