  1. If either of them fails due to being pushed, it will all be due to the idiot behind the volume knob. It has nothing to do with the driver itself, just how you control it.

Looking forward to your results. You've come a long way since we first met. Impressive what hard work and determination gets you. Congrats.
  3. Gives you time to get the box done and other ancillary installation things finished. The extra time in that regard always makes the install nicer.
  4. Has anyone used something like this? its a usb controlled 4 relay board. Working on a carpc and thought this might be easier to use than running switches to turn things on and off. It would be nice to be able to just turn off either highs ( for burping at comps) or turn off subs (when not needed or late at night). The only thing I'm worried about right now is I've seen a few videos of some of these and they seem to cycle when the boards powered up worried there might be an unneeded thump caused. And not only using it for amps but to control leds etc
  5. She looks too young for me to find her good looking. Wow.

my brother helped me today, hes a skinny little booger,, goot in tight spots here he is helping to take sharp edges off my buss bars new jumpers and buss bars, and a another deka my new tow pig, ha ha i wish. well so far they get stinky fast! they are not taking the power aswell as the shades.. yet, maybe they still need to break in... they are super stiff.. i guess meter results will be saturday
  8. or they just don't want to talk about it yet.... But your probably right. I bet AA/Fi hates SSA.
  9. Could get front speakers to play, thought it was the new rca's or headunit. Threw the trusty Alpine PDX in and I'm back in business. I will send the Crescendo back and hopefully get that squared away soon. That will give me time to install the 8's and horns. The Rockford 6.5's and one horn hooked up it still loud as hell and I am now sold on hlcd's. Mofo is loud and clear. So after playing the radio for one hour straight with the truck off on battery only I decided to go have a listen once it was in. Took the meter to get a baseline. It will be louder with a fresh charge. Same meter placement, same song as my 156..7 run on this song. Im very happy considering this is a low tuned daily work truck, Its loud as piss.
  10. Bass boost is nothing but a fixed band of equalization. Meaning there is an equal opportunity to damage your subwoofer by boosting the equalization in your headunit as there is with bass boost. If "you want more", boosting the EQ is the wrong way to do it. Give us more details of your system (vehicle, subwoofer, amplifier, enclosure size/tuning, sub enclosure location & alignment, etc) as well as the method used to set the gain and any other settings you may have. There may be other, and better, things you can do with the current system to get what you are after without resorting to boosting the equalizer. Also, what exactly are you looking for? Simply more output overall? Better low frequency extension?
  11. Pink, furry door speaker pods. And I thought only we Floridians had questionable taste.
  12. very nice! that's a single IA 40.1 powering those?
