  1. Im not sure what has all been covered so far but i have something to add. I know for a fact from people who helped with his initial designs and helped him get started that he has got to big for his britches. He has dismissed them entirely from my knowledge and gone his own direction. However true this is i cant confirm wholly. I will say its been said his business ethics are shady and he cares about the dollar not the customer. Ill also note that skar nut huggers really reflect ignorance and elitism which is beyond me. Just more of a reason i stand behind excellent companies like SSA, Sundown, and FI.
  2. Yes, it is an 11 1/8" cutout. Which will make it a tad tight, then just sand to trim it down to fit nice and tight.
  3. Finally got this thread to load again, lol. Yeah I'd be glad to help you out. Post up the max dims you can work with and other information like the orientation you prefer (sub up, port back, etc), double baffle yes/no, things of that sort and we'll get after it. You're going to love the XCON's, I'm sure of it. I've not had a chance to listen to mine yet, but I've yet to hear a bad word about them.
  4. Hi there... Nice curves. One more time! Again, shall we? Most definitely!! Yummy to my cock. Brilliant angle :D/> I wonder if I can snap a pic of the gf from that angle.
  5. All I can say is you'll have your Demuth's from time to time. Either way I stay away.
  6. I love those little pickles though. As a family we used to make dozens and dozens of jars of them.
  7. We call it McPukes in my house.
  8. I heared several times a setup with 2 15" Xcons, each in a 4 ft3 box at 30ish Hz, they were ...wonderful ! Loud and clear. But it was in a very small car (an Old Renault Clio). No back seats, sub & port up, on 1800 w rms each. I had mine in a 3.1 ft3 box with 2 4" aeroports : it was nice but, my car is bigger than the Clio, so it was really not as loud, but amazingly accurate on music. Before trying SSA products, I've never heared subwoofers playing music so well. I have to admit the box is VERY important. You seem to be in good hands.
  9. LI didnt take over the 187 , the I series replaced the 187
  10. Want to buy threads should go in classifieds. Just a heads up for next time.
  11. Hi there... Nice curves. One more time! Again, shall we? Most definitely!!

  13. Lots of very good subs with huge potentials mentioned in this thread!

  16. Killer deal on the XCON!
  17. Just one of the many examples; On caraudio.com he posted pictures he'd stolen from the internet of other people's high quality installation and enclosures and claimed they were his own work. Using these stolen photos as "proof" of his quality craftsmanship, he offered to sell high quality enclosure to forum members at greatly reduced prices. A couple users bit and ordered enclosures......and while they did receive enclosures, they were so poorly built they were literally unusable. Subwoofer cut outs that weren't even circular, large gaps between panels, poorly secured panels, etc. His username at the time was lambo911.
  18. might as well not even ask. you will get bashed by some ppl on here. i've had the itch also and i have been here a while and ppl still bash. drop him an email or call him it'll work out better that way. Lol why would anyone bash him about this? It's a legit question and I haven't seen an answer posted elsewhere yet.
  19. This is per your enclosures and power. Red is the Fi yellow are the sa's
  20. Nope. We've had proof, a scary amount of it, that Kevin is a swindler and a man with poor business ethics. Over and over again. He needs to prove to the audio committee as a whole that he has changed his ways before people like myself will put any faith in him.
  21. I don't think it's as much of a prediction as it is a hope.... So it's basically hate on the new guy/company People wouldn't hate on him if he didn't do his scams and sketchy shit. Simple as that. Your trying to defend a guy that scammed a bunch of people and who now runs a business where he posts incorrect information about his products. If you want to defend him your more than welcome too, but if you really knew about him, you wouldn't.
  22. Pssh.. a permit wouldn't work for some of our installs.. We would need a bill passed with our name on it.
  23. Wrong. I'm just trying to make sense of this thread here, you need to chill out brah. A guy comes in with a complaint which he is well within his right to do, and the entire internet automatically predicts company and product failure. Why doesn't he post exactly what he is trying to find out instead of going from "fanboy" to...whatever he has become. After all, isn't this a car audio forum where enthusiasts share ideas, knowledge and experience? To the guys fanning the flames, are you all speaking from personal experience or you just read something on the internet and thought it hey this is cool chit let's flame away. If this complaint is legit, OP needs to post it everywhere, this isn't the dead end, is it? facts>fiction. Let's put it this way, "Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me."
  24. Do not ever post AQ and anything built by Fi in the same debatable topic again.
  25. He sounds more arrogant than anything. He basically said he doesn't care that he's using someone else's baskets when he's not suppose to and had no plans of stopping at least until he used all 500 of his Chinese tooled ones he claims he already had. There is no way in hell I would do business with someone like that or trust anything that came out his mouth.
  26. Sounds very immature to me.
  27. I'd highly suggest repositioning the rings if you haven't fiberglassed them yet, you can either spin the tweet down farther and fire it towards the driver more or flip the tweet up higher into the firewall area..it will image way better. I typically put a laser pointer on the middle of the baffle between the mid/tweet and point it towards where the cab light should be on the back of the cab, that trick always works great. Looks great! I love old iron
  28. Got the pods mocked up and glued for placement, now I have to wrap it, fiberglass and cover them. I like placement, should sound good I hope.
  29. China has the tooling too.
  30. That AA V2 is ugly as hell in my opinion. Obviously performance is more important than looks though.
  31. Got the 55 over at the house this week, gonna try to get most if not all of it done. I needed to run to Lowes, might as well drive it. Truck drives awesome! Box is done. 1.1cu net sealed. Gonna start kicks tomorrow Complete truck is deadened now also
  32. Got the box in. Seats are in their complete rear position.
  33. Wow really miss my Dcon's now, awesome video!
  34. Picked up the batteries and got a little work done on the box.
  35. no problem I try to help my friends, <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hey, I try to bump all of you fools when I see them!
  36. So it is a bit confusing due to several updates along the way... so the above should help out when ordering a re-cone kit. We need to know what version you have to built the correct kit. Aside from the box printing being a bit mis-leading it's not super hard to understand using the above picture. The 60 unit run of "v.2" woofers (v1.75) was only sold to a few people who knew up front about what they were -- I just had the factory put v.2 on the box so we would know what they were as we unloaded the truck. But I am sure someone will get one of them second hand. They can be re-coned to standard v1.5 parts with copper coil and hard spider. As the photo indicates the baskets cannot be swapped around. This is due to a bolt pattern variation -- some savvy users have drilled their own patterns and that is fine as all version v1 through v1.75 have compatible motors -- there is only a slight gap variation across generations of those but not enough to make a significant difference when using them together. The actual v.2 model is COMPLETELY different. Someone would have to make custom adapters and/or drill and tap the top plate of an older motor to use the basket. I am not planning to offer this adapter.
