  1. Took some videos tonight after work. Just having fun and enjoying the system. Hope you all can enjoy it as much as I do.
  2. with less resistance
  3. The frame can carry alot more current then two runs of 0 gauge.
  4. I can see that a few people don't understand how good a value they are getting in a Fi sub, along with customization ability and being MADE & MACHINED IN THE USA. I need to finish writing Clinton's Iron Law...
  5. only an 04', but its like new. i'll upload some pics in a bit hereI've seen plenty of those for $10k and it's always made me think about it. Haven't driven one since 04 though, but I remember them having the best GM seat ever produced at that time.
  6. Just under 2 hours to get in this morning. Yay rain and city traffic. Working on toning my left leg all morning, clutch in, clutch out, repeat 871 times.
  7. Hmmm you are never too old and you can always catch up another day. That is how I roll.

big 3 is always a must. after that it will depend on your listening habits. a lot of bassy music like dub step or rap will draw more power than rock, for example.
  9. They sound like an amp.

  11. #1315 ordered on March 1st, just got separate tracking numbers for both subs in an email from FedEx. Still awaiting fulfillment lol. FedEx says they were shipped on the 11th and that the packages will be here in 5 days. So excited! But, I'm still waiting on my 220A alternator and haven't decided whether to build the box in the trunk or take out my back seats and use that space. Oh well. So pumped!!
  12. So it is a bit confusing due to several updates along the way... so the above should help out when ordering a re-cone kit. We need to know what version you have to built the correct kit. Aside from the box printing being a bit mis-leading it's not super hard to understand using the above picture. The 60 unit run of "v.2" woofers (v1.75) was only sold to a few people who knew up front about what they were -- I just had the factory put v.2 on the box so we would know what they were as we unloaded the truck. But I am sure someone will get one of them second hand. They can be re-coned to standard v1.5 parts with copper coil and hard spider. As the photo indicates the baskets cannot be swapped around. This is due to a bolt pattern variation -- some savvy users have drilled their own patterns and that is fine as all version v1 through v1.75 have compatible motors -- there is only a slight gap variation across generations of those but not enough to make a significant difference when using them together. The actual v.2 model is COMPLETELY different. Someone would have to make custom adapters and/or drill and tap the top plate of an older motor to use the basket. I am not planning to offer this adapter.
  13. Looks great! I'm very interested in hearing your thoughts on the Evil.
  14. I think an Evil Spook Haunts this Evil box.........

  16. After 6 years in storage I finally have time to build a new table for grandma's 60 year old sewing machine. I'm going to copy the old table and build it in Baltic Birch:
  17. I don't think you will be waiting 3 months and I am sure good news is on your way. The CS issues are currently being worked on and I look for good things to come in that department.
  18. Guys Scott and crew are busting hump at the buld house and are slowly getting things back on track. They are getting close to being back on track with order time frames.

Jon was handing out demo's this past weekend( My second one). People including myself are surprised at how good his car sounds, and how it gets down! It's true, when done correctly the results are truly amazing. Plus, dude is cool as hell!

Tired of your dumbass comments, just get the fuck out. Looking good Jon
  21. I've not used the Nano Mono amps, but have the regular Nano amps and a couple of their other amps. GREAT amps. Me, personally, I would choose them over Crescendo, but I have not personally used Crescendo, so take that however you like. Massive actually has their own engineers and do some of their own designing versus just ordering via a buildsheet and making some small cosmetic changes here and there.
  22. Much more efficiently and without the artifacts of a 5.25. Would free up the tweeter to do it's job better as well. Add to that the benefit for tuning of having a single driver play most of the voicing all with absolutely no negatives. Why is that? I would ASSuME it has to do with the correlation between the diameter of the diaphragm and the frequencies being produced. A smaller "middle" driver would more easily even the passband. Yes and much more efficiently and without the artifacts of a 5.25. Would free up the tweeter to do it's job better as well. Agreed. You have to listen to it to really appreciate it.
  23. Everything is out on the hood, great left and right channel separation. And you can really hear the depth and staging at any volume! Mid bass like a mother! The ISO 10's dig deep!

  25. Looks like you can get the recone with the spacer or without. Just rip that bitch out. Box cutter, flat head screwdriver, ect check the vid on about 17sec to see what the soft parts look like as a whole to give u a better idea

just a temporary box untill i figure out how i wanna port it. with what frequency and sub and port orientation...baby steps..theres still lots more to do to this bad boy Don't discount the xcon in a sealed box. Xcon's sealed sound sweet! Trust me I know.
  27. Senchez, that last video of cruising while jamming some awesome blues is nothing short of EPIC! would love to have been there cruising with ya bro. Keep it up.
  28. Not to thread jack, but where is the Lebanon i see people mention with shows happening? I know Swift is east tenn so i assume its in that area? Im in Johnson City Tn and would consider a long drive for a decent event.
  29. That's crazy cheap for new 2500s. I would be tempted to the rf just on that price. and the fact im running 2 1500's and love them.
  30. Can you expand on this bass? just curious why 2 strapped would be better or recommended over his two choices? thanks bro, I try to learn everyday!

Not sure yet pm. I don't have anyone handy to help me. Also im clumsy and am afraid to try to hold two meter ends and rev engine at same time. I will post how it does at rev soon.

    Alt shows 14.0v when revved....?
  37. -1 points
I don't think so, but to be perfectly honest this is the first time I have tested it with my new dmm. the other I had was garbage. I know the other alts I had from tenney charged at 14v at idle, BUT it was on different vehicle.

It has a much smaller than factory pulley on it. Im so confused.
  39. -1 points
That's what I was thinking too sean. Im just searching for confirmation that is the case. also would an external regulator bypass this function? Lot of stop and go driving so I don't want it charging that low any at all if possible as my battery bank is too small also.

thanks nad, that's what im trying to figure out now. I hate to say it but if its the alt itself it will be the 3rd time being sent back. if its the alt im goin with mechman and cutting my loses
  41. -1 points
I figure its a gm thing that the alt is told to drop voltage at idle. that's what im hoping anyway
  42. -1 points
Did some testing this morning on my electrical. At the post on my alt im reading at 12.4v idle and 11.9v under load. Is there something on my Durango that would cause it not to charge at 14.4v at idle? or is it my alt going out? Its a 4.7l dodge Durango 2004 model. 270a Tenney alt.
  43. Agreed. Using the existing plug and drilling is simpler and saves having to locate boots BUT be very very careful of your other wiring as stated.
