  1. I received a 12" zcon from bassink in perfect condition. He communicates well and I wouldn't hesitate to purchase from him again!
  2. If your amp starts running out of gas (rail limits) you are going to go over the thermal threshold of your woofers. The gain setting is arbitrary, just don't get to that point with your amp... If you wired for a lower impednace, all else being equal, your amplifier will now try and produce more power with the same given input. So it will run out of gas sooner...
  3. It looks nice....Sony HT op?Panasonic plasma, Pioneer Elite receiver, Sony 3.1 speakers...and Thomas the Train table. Heres a better pic:

The entire though process behind this is stupid. People are using these tools to set gains without distortion. It's doesn't matter even if Wiily Wonka and Dr. Emmett Brown got together and used Sean's 250k scope and triple checked it with the vibrio meter to match the gain to the amps .5 THD rating. Evening if the source voltage or content never changed. Speakers are rated at 10% distortion and subs are rated at 20%. Distortion. BC YOU CAN NOT HEAR THE DISTORTION until this point. So why in the hell are people worried about setting gains for no distortion or 1, 2, 5%. It makes no difference.
  14. New Grille, HID Lows & Brights, LED Turn Units, and LED Turn markers installed. Very happy with how it turned out..

Nobody has any idea of what his load will be until you model his enclosure. I may be nominally over 1 ohm with those drivers, all wired in parallel... So basically, nobody can tell you anything objective until you figure this ^^ out... And no, this isn't impedance rise, just want to nip that one in the bud
  16. Thanks i will post some pics on here, looking forward to providing excellent enclosures for the masses. www.youtube.com/soundoffaudio
  17. nice, I like these sonys as well...for a cheap ass speaker it gets the job done. I also have a sony 12" sub next to the couch, not seen in the pic. Definitely hits the low notes well.Due to my living room layout, 3.1 channel is best for me unless one day I decide to go wih ceiling speakers...which I have contemplated many times. I just dont have the balls to cut into the roof of my house that I might not live in forever.
  18. A few layers of the hammered finish
  19. Now we're talkin! Estimated for Tuesday, maybe I'll get lucky and it will be here Saturday.
  20. "stupid is as stupid does" You will understand once you see someone you know splatted all over the highway because someone wanted to be cool.
  21. Round overs on the FR towers and primer on the woofer enclosure:
  22. Here you go more pics of the subs. Just took some random shots so not sure how good they are.
  23. PPI's newest line of amps seem to be proving themselves of PPI from the old days when you knew they made good amps, the fact that they have sold out of the P900.4 4channel amps says something. If you get anything from the new black ice and phantom lines you'll do quite well with them.
  24. Sedona is their entry level. Black ice is their mid level. Power class is their high end. Phantom is their mini. I do know the black ice is based off the soundstream Rubicon.
  25. I believe they got really good reviews on Pasmag.
  26. my buddy rob just came into some money, i have done many stereos for him over the years. so when he got a new truck he gave me free range and a budget, its a new truck so he didnt want to hack it up.. i understand that so.... head unit will be http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Car/DVD-Receivers/AVH-P4400BH box will be for 2 sundown SD-10s and the amp will be a older Memphis PR 1000.1 a nice underrated amp. will be wired with 0 gauge that i have here at home, and we will be adding some speakers to the doors soon pictures soon
  27. at first is was all for moving the rear seat forward and doing some nice custom door pods but it quickly became " lets just do what will fit with out any custom work" and i say ok.. then he started talking about kicker shallows..and i said WHOAAAA WHOAAA.. if you want me to be apart of this your gonna have to change your tude buddy! so he wrote me a check and im buying what ever i want... and what i have come up with is the best with what will fit in behind the seat and in budget
  28. I believe it was the S series and P series that got reviewed. I'd go with the sedona amplifier.

  30. if you don't wanna help go awaylol eat a large bowl of dick dude. im asking questions to figure out your issue and your statement of " the coils are hot but the cap is cool on 200 watts" is a foolish thing to say... so i say it a fucking gain OH HELLLLLLLL
  31. I agree. A more agressive tire does really set off the look of these trucks. I really like the Goodyear Duratrac's and would recommend them to anyone. While technically an all terrain tire, they're plenty aggressive when it comes to mud, snow, etc but behave very well in the rest of the conditions, ride really good and have to be the quietest damn tires with that much tread I've ever experienced. They also wear fairly well too. I put 55,000 miles on the first set I put on my '07 Chevy 2500HD work truck. I like them so much I put another set on it and put a set on the Jimmy. Sadly I'll never get to see how many miles I would get out of the second set, they replaced that truck this year with a '13 Ford F-250 Super Duty that has 17" rims, so I can't even transfer them to this truck. It doesn't matter though, I know exactly what's going on it as soon as the factory tires wear out. The truck is looking good so far Mark. I'm certain the build will be beastly, in an Evil way.
