  1. You can forget the rear doors and focus on a good and solid frontstage. I was afraid to do it first, and now I will not come back : no more rears for me ! A 3 way setup will be hard to tune, and will need more amplifiers. Good luck, and have fun. The xcon is a fantastic sub.
  2. FML, just wrote an entire page just for it to be lost by clicking away. Long story short. If you are hurting for space, I would recommend the ethos. I say this because it was designed to excel in smaller enclosures, 2.5-3 cuft. With my personal experience, both the Zcon and Sp4 really enjoy large net volume and port area, at rms ratings. With your current enclosure, you can expect an peaky response from the zcon. And that box won't be ideal for the SP4 as it's designed for lower tuned enclosures, the more ground and pound vehicles, were tuning is at 28-31hz.
  3. Like M5 stated a few pages back. Sound waves propagate just like water waves. And just like you are saying. When a tsunami hits Japan from an earthquake in the middle of the pacific does the water from the epicenter reach Japan? No, the energy is transferred from one molecule to another. However if close enough to the epicenter there is enough energy to displace the original. water to some degree Just like a large system in a vehicle. You can hear and feel the sound 100 feet away but the air in the box is no reaching you. It move and arbitrary 5 feet due to the amount of kinetic energy at the epicenter and as energy is disappated over a larger and larger area it turns into a domino effect pushing the next molecule and so on.
  4. Pretty sweet Lee!
  5. any brands you recommend for the big 3 wire? I will definitely check out the die hard platinum. I have seen that recommended on several forums. I use knu konceptz kollusul flex. 1/0. ofc wire.. seems to work pretty good. im sure there is better wire but ive used it in like 5 cars with no complaints.

I was never given an eta and the pre-order button was replaced with an "Add To Cart" button two days later. That's why I'm trying to find out what the status is on the order. SSA was very fast with my second order, I'm impressed. That was a very fast turn around, But if there is no communication and the website says nothing about the amp being out of stock I wouldn't call a simple inquiry as to the status of the first order "harsh." If you spent over $500 on an order over the internet wouldn't you want to know whats going on with it? Mark and Aaron will respond.
  7. This is what every garage should look like And I obviously don't mean the garage itself as that needs work.
  8. Has nothing to do with the size of a subwoofer, just a myth.
  9. While I do love SSA and all the drivers I've experienced (DCON, ICON & XCON) I would have to admit that if I were looking at getting a new 15" driver and was considering something different I would definitely have to give a DSS Ethos a shot.
  10. I heard 4 out of 5 dentists recommend Trident... looks like a monster
  11. Thanks! Got rid of the lean today and raised the rear up about 2 inches. Went from a 4in block to a 5in block. Also added airbags to the back adding adding anywhere from 0-3 inches depending on how much air I run. I like it better this way and will also get rid of the terrible sag when I tow heavy

i went with the Bg neo 3's because 1. i wanted something different, 2 because i wanted something that had a smooth sound, 3. because i had already used a number of domes. the reason for the way they are installed is because they are very directional and i use the sundown neo pro 8s for no other reason then being team.

you must be a loanly sad mother fucker to go thru my thread and mark my shit negative... any time you want to debate why you love me so much you take time out of your date to hate on me.. we can talk about it publicly.... ..... but im sure your a weak minded child, that will have nothing but fat insults and uneducated assumptions about my stereo and its performance..... but any time you decide to stop being a sneaky hating pussy ill be here to talk about it
