  1. What am I supposed to do will all dem subwoofers
  2. I thought I was going to have to put her down a year and a half ago. But her tumors stopped growing, until last week. She's still happy for now. At least I had lots of warning. Here she is at 4.
  3. Not huge progress but got the Van over to the house, got all seats out, Big 3 is done, I drilled out a hole in the floor large enough to do 4-6 runs to the back down the road. For now there is two runs of 2/0 going to the back battery bank. This afternoon I will start on putting in the head unit, running RCA's and maybe speaker wire to the front. May go ahead and look at door panel options aswell. I have a few ideas but unsure what to run. Probably 2 10's per door and one super tweeter per door. Since this is mainly a SPL and demo vehicle for shows I'm not too concerned with quality mids and highs. I need loud and clear. I also need to think about amp and battery placement. This will be a push to get completed this week Here is the victim, she will clean up good though. Atleast its not a Ugly van, LOL Just test fitting the enclosure So much room behind the wall, This is why I decided to change up to the Van. lol Here is the crappy progress photos so far. Cutting floor for the runs to back This looks like a good spot, sound deadner works great for a grommet, lol Just alittle 2/0 laying around, haha Heres the big b*tch thats going in there. 400lbs sexy birch Thats done Alternator wire ran and a new Die hard Platinum gp34 up front
  4. White is starting to grow on me: Wouldn't be too much of an issue to find those rims or something similar with a nice lip. I will have to paint the entire car either way. White looks a bit more refreshing than metallic silver, seems like scratches are not that easy to see too.

That sounds really good. Nice build too.
  6. TN also sells individual flavor packs, so you can experiment and find the flavor you like best.

Strapping isn't high end. Has nothing to do with it. And yet another idiot manager. Quit. Everyone at your store/company is an idiot. Can't scope it clean either, lol.
  8. Well it has been a great day. Made a ton of progress on the enclosure and got an email notification from dss that my ethos has shipped. As for the enclosure I got everything but the back and one side done. I got the braces screwed in and clamped. I didn't want to screw them to the front in fear of the larger screws for the double baffle would crack them. I will get some better pics when the clamps are removed in the morning.
  9. Thanks for the build pics. After a lot of thought and advise from multiple people on this website and in person today, I decided to mount my (2) HDS3 12's in my trunk and stuff the cavities on both sides with wood and blankets. It was sealed up good enough to see whether or not the sound would come out how I wanted. As many have stated, I did not like the way it sounded. No depth to the bass at all. Yeah, it was punchy as hell, but I don't know how I would ever get those body vibrating lows like a rear firing setup gives me. There was a huge difference. I know for a fact that my car sounds great with the subs firing toward rear and I can also really hammer out lows. I will use the rest of my QMat to put on the lid to help reduce as much rattle as possible. If there is something else I can do to help eliminate trunk rattle, I'm all ears... These two Ethos are going to pound the crap out of it. At least all the work I've put in the last couple of days to seal off the trunk, did help out tremendously with the rattles on the inside of the car. Almost no panel rattles at all. We will see what happens when I install the Ethos. I have a feeling it might be a different story. Oh well, it is what it is... Maybe one day if I do a true "SQ" build, then and only then, will I face subs/port forward. Until then, I'm a rear firing guy... I will post pics when finished. I also installed a processor today. Kicker Front Row to help balance out everything and give me a little more control over my system. I'm ready for the subs to get here so I can call this build, COMPLETE! Thanks again for all the advise guys. You helped me save a ton of time and frustration with the forward firing setup...
  10. Well, hooked up and sounding great with the USD mids. Tuning will never be done, but I got it started for now.
  11. Hope she lets him up to breath
  12. Well just got done routing and sanding the brace. I am honestly not to happy with the out come, but plan to use it because of the amount of work involved. Plus once the enclosure is assembled you won't be able to see it. It looks a bit sloppy and wavy. I assume it is because I had to use the dreaded jigsaw to cut out the openings. This caused the round over to look wavy. Oh well it's very sturdy and will serve its purpose.

    work and work...plus rebuilding
  14. Will I sold the HCCA 15.2's and sent my bc2000's to db-r great service should be getting the amps back sometime next week. Than I going to redo the sub box to fit the 2-18" ethos that I should be getting by the end of June.... Slow build
  15. I wouldnt do super tweeters either, been there and done that. What is your budget on front stage? If you do decide to go active with an 8" driver and tweeter combo then you can sell the comps, both wont be needed. For now just bridge the speakers in the front doors to give them more power. My next setup will be hlcd (horn loaded compression drivers) under the dash and 8" in the doors.
