He did not make that tool, his name was put on it for marketing purposes to sell a lot to people who didn't know better. A couple of his other tools have caused more harm then good due the endless stream of new users that have blind faith in something like two blinking LED's for example. We (Mark/Josh/me) have sold the SMD model in the past. I am not thrilled about selling something that has someones signature on it for them to make profit off of, based off how they have treated people over the years, how I was banned from their forum for no reason at all, and how they have acted on this forum when honest questions were asked about the products with that logo on it.
  5. Even before, I'd sort through my pictures realizing the different lenses that could be needed and rank which are the most important. Ok, at the same time. Then you will know what focus, fov and such you really need.

And a year or 2 ago I was on his site and was questioning one of his products. Not even bashing at all and everything I said got deleted and I got kicked off the site and can not make a new account. . Just seems kinda fishy to me that noone is even aloud to question any of his products or they get banned from the site forever
  7. Btw Seth, none of the pictures you shared would I use a 50mm for. The 24mm would be better. If you really want to shoot bugs a macro lens is in your future.
  8. See, this is the info I want. I was looking at some 50mm lenses but I am concerned about buying a lens that simply will not suit my needs. What kind of picture am I going to really be able to take with this? Can I get a kick ass pic of my tubes from a foot away? Will it work in my back yard, say a red fox running across it about 100 yards away? Will this work at my son's graduation? Can I shoot one of my ponds at sunrise? Can I shoot a red velvet ant, or one of the kick ass orb weavers that are on my deck this time of year? How will it work if we are shooting the Dome of the Rock, or the Sistine Chapel, the Pieta, or one of the Marbles in shadows at the Vatican? pond: Sistine: Pieta: Marble at Vatican: Red Velvet ant Dome of the Rock Orb Weaver
  9. Here are some final production unit pictures. Very excited.
  10. Sorry, I have been leaking little bits here and there. It has been a very long (a year) process to get these off the ground. Because these buggers are NOT a basic overhung 1" or 1.5" coil, it took time to get parts and get the design right. Not to mention some changes at the factory that caused a number of delays. Ok, so these are a copper coil, shorting ring, solid pole, phase plug, underhung design. In final testing, they are a very very clean, warm sound. They were right at home in an IB rig that Neal helped out on big time, so dropping into an average car door is excellent. The Evil6.5's have push terminals that are good for 10 gauge wire. Nomex spiders, so they will able take the same long term abuse that the SSA subs are known for. Also, the glass fiber cones that were available, performed a little better than the poly cones in testing. I will probably be setting these at 120-150rms. Specs are below, on the bottom right. Follow the green slope for the production model. I had put together a slightly different model to see what combination of aspects were the best performing for our goals, so ignore the purple slope and specs on the left.
