  1. Lift weights and get get 50% stronger. Then the lens will feel 2/3 weight. You're welcome.
  2. If the big whitey were 2/3 the weight I would have bought one already...I am stubbornly trying to have my cake and eat it too.
  3. I am stupidly thinking about buying a 200 2.8 the day you come out so we can flop back and forth. Just checking Nat Camera's return policy on used lenses as they have 2 in town for $520. Figured it would be a fun side by side. Shoot the 200 and the 70-200 on my 70d and your 6d changing back and forth. My only concern is that it will have me shopping for a 5D after.
  4. I am also seriously bugged by lenses with a lot of chromatic aberration. Destroys all sharpeness and in the worst spot because when you lose the edge detail the rest of the detail really doesn't matter and gets lost in the wash.

I have some 1.5" HPDE that was cheap on Amazon. Bright yellow, lol but it works for baffles great. Easier to hit with the router and less mess as well. Nice and stiff and easy enough to add mass too.
  6. A 70-200 at 200 2.8 would rock it even more. Although that shot in particular is worse on the Nikon than the Canon 200 as the Nikon suffers from serious FL shrinking at close focus IIRC from my pre-shopping it is less than the 135 making the 70-200 Nikon not much of a portrait lens. Canon still reaches 180mm at that focus

When you're building baffles for door speakers mass is your friend. Whichever material is heaviest would be the best material to use.

I use plastic cutting boards with great results.

  10. All prices B&H or Adorama. Only listed lenses that potentially I could own. I did no research on the quality of many of them, just the Fstop and range. Next step in my process is to put together option packages and then research them. If I weren't scared of the Sigma reliability it would be easier.
  11. On a positive military funeral note. A co-worker of mine was asked to help escort a fallen WWII soldier home after they found his body and were able to identify him. They flew him to the nearest big airport and had a police escort for 2 hours (across state lines) to bring him home and give him a proper burial. I thought it was pretty cool. http://www.parsonssun.com/news/article_522df8f4-2215-11e6-9081-b39c166d4c78.html
  12. $200-$600 camera, $300 lens, $150 lens, then !boom! $2000 lens lol
